| Nope, no one can judge me, why should I listen to what people who are inferior than me say? Besides, even if I disregard that fact, why should anyone judge or ever care about what others say about what you watch? Unless it's my parents or one of my relatives, no one can get away with that shit. If they mock you, you mock them back, that's the rule, that's how it should be. I've never been mocked irl, only on the internet, I have been mocked by my parents and some elders and my uncles but yeah what can I do about them, nothing. My friends watch anime but most kids my age don't, I don't think they even know what anime means but they still watched DBZ and Pokemon, but yeah I can't blame them for not knowing. |

I was only mocked when my fav football team Rapid Bucharest lost a match, when Rapid lost in uefa querter finals I went to school and then I left after one class because I was that sad, and people around me kept laughing at me, I think I even kicked someone's butt that day. |

| There was a time in high school when people made fun of me because of it. I never really put much heed to it though since I never much cared what people thought about me or about what I was doing. Because of that later on it turned into more of a teasing than actual mocking. Since then not as far as I'm aware. |

| Not really. Most of my friends watched a couple of anime themselves and they see it as another hobby. It's the same thing with my family although they watched just two anime movies with me - Akira and Kimi no Na Wa. |
| I've gotten more backlash from anime fans about either watching and liking western TV shows or just the types of anime I like than I ever have from non-anime fans about anime. Like, it's not even close, probably by a factor of 10 or 20. |

| You won't get that treatment, or at least you wouldn't have in my time, in France. Basically everyone consumed japanese animation as long as he was watching TV as a kid in the 70s, 80s up to mid-90s. Add to that the young adults who discovered Harlock in the 70s then Cobra in the very early 90s and families who watched Ulysses 31 in 1981 (if I remember well what my parents told me, it was cut in little bits for an early evening broadcast every day or weekend). Of course, there was always one oddball who was trying to show off with big action/crime movies he was allowed to see and how too old he was for kiddie cartoons. But this was just cute child pretense in pre / primary school. And other comrades were mocking/ignoring it. Meanwhile, I was still putting my digital fansubs on tapes or VCD (so they could be seen on TV) in the 2000s for none other than my father (I had spent my childhood taping DB/Z for him after all).
