And so, last weekend I thought I’d experiment and see her reaction. So I watched one episode of Motto To Love-Ru and one episode of Keijo on the big tv in front of her.  She made a few disapproving comments but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. So I think that means I can get away with it. She already knows about my busty figurine collection and my dakimakura. She just isn’t comfortable with Japan’s obsession with girls that look little acting grown (I agree it is a strange phenomenon). The main thing she said that I remember is, “You’re right some of these anime shows are a bit weird.” And she also said, “This is like a TV game show but they can only use their butts? This is definitely a show made for men!” To which I replied, “I told you. Just like with western shows not all of it is for kids. There are sex scenes, violence and all sorts.” She does like the cute looking characters and the fashion sense and the art styles of most shows. Sometimes we watch one together but for me it's more tourture then enjoyment. But it's cool. He got his Ecchi Stuff and I got my cute Animes. And we are together for almost 10 years, it works. I am not do convinced to force a normie to watch Anime, yet alone Ecchis. If they don't want it, that's cool with me. Nobody needs to love everything. And I am glad my boyfriend is also into Anime,I couldn't date a 'normie'. |
