I was 16 years old. I began watching anime to be able to participate in the conversations of my classmates, so Naruto Shippuden was my first anime.

If "regularly" means "consistently on a daily or weekly basis," then basically never for me since renting DVDs from Netflix was only consistent when renting the original FMA and Haruhi, torrents would just sit on my hard drive for months on end, and my DVD and Blu-ray collection is just there to be there for when I actually have the time and motivation to watch something, which is once in a blue moon these days.

It was 2 years ago, when I was 21. I was getting tired of watching movies and tv series. One day I saw a gif from BnHA, I thought it looked beautiful and it made me remember the existence of anime. That day my anime binging days began with BnHA.

Why those poll options lol. You say that not when u were little, but first one is 9-12..

I started to watch anime regularly when I was 16 or 17. Before that I just watched what anime I found on tv (and VHS). I didn't rly watch seasonal anime back then, other than Bleach and Naruto when i finally caught up to them.

Looking back at when I opened my kissanime account, I discovered that I was in my late 20's when I watched anime regularly (ie more than one anime film, usually from Studio Ghibli, in a sitting).

I watched DBZ & Yu Gi Oh when I was younger, but as OP said they don't count as I only watched them as they were what was on telly at the time, I may have chosen the tv channel, but I didn't make the conscious choice to watch anime. I just happened to like DBZ & Yu Gi Oh from among other animated shows on tv at the time.

From February 2018 to February 2019, so from 15 to 16, I watched anime more casually and averaged around 1 to 2 anime per month (started with FMA 2003, then I watched some of the classics and episodes of other shows that looked interesting, some of which that are still on my on-hold list). February of 2019 was when I watched Madoka Magica and started watching anime more regularly, though.

Didn't like anime whatsoever up until the start of December 2019 when I watched Chobits entirely for the first time since 2012 (didn't know what anime was back then, realized Chobits was anime like 6-12 months ago) had nothing else to watch at the time (the F1 season had just ended) so I thought i might as well

I was 7 when I started following anime shows regularly. There was enough on tv that I was easily watching 4+ episodes a day and 20 a week, or whatever the OP's flaky criteria was. Now I'm 29.

Lol, the poll.

I started watching seasonals at the age of 23, that's what I'd consider regular. Before that I watched it just occasionally since I was 15.

I was about 20, got into college but didn't have anything to do for a few months before attending and was in a completely new city with fuck all to do so I decided to watch anime, only then discovering new anime came out every season, and saw Blue Exorcist and decided to watch it. Season had Steins;Gate, Nichijou and Kaiji and I picked Blue Exorcist.

I've been an anime fan for like 12 years now, but I never started regularly watching anime until I was 15 when my buddy got me to watch Clannad. 6 years later I'm nearing 200 completed anime. Though technically I first watched Pokemon and DBZ when I was like 5.

I watched DBZ, Yuu Yuu Hackusho, and Rurouni Kenshin daily for like 2 years when I was super young. Also watched some Gundam as well, but then didn't watch anything for years.

There was a period of time when I was in highschool, probably 16-17, when I watched a bunch (mostly bleach, naruto, some of the old Gundams, code geass ect.)
Once again, after about a year or so, I stopped.

When I was 19 is when I got really into it, with shows like SAO, AOT and yet another gundam series dragging me back. I have since changed my mind about the quality of those shows, but at the time I thought they were very good.

I was either 20 or 21 when I started watching anime regularly. I actively started watching anime (as in, I knew that what I was watching was anime) at about 18, but I was only sporadically watching a few shows at that point.

If by "regularly" you mean going out of my way to find anime to watch on a daily basis, I was 38.

If you mean "making time each week to watch a show" I was 21 when Cowboy Bebop was on Adult Swim.

Kinda hard for me to answer but I'll try. I've been watching it for as long as I can remember, since the late 90s as a kid. But it wasn't until around 2003 when I was 11 that I started to really get into Anime and would watch whatever they had to offer on TV and rent whatever I could from Block Buster. But I guess I wasn't really knee deep into Anime until 2005-2006 when I started to learn how to download Anime and began buying DVD's that I started watching regularly. so I was 13-14 when I started to watch regularly I guess.

Not counting Sailor Moon, Candy Candy, and Pokémon on TV as a kid, I started watching anime regularly when I was 15. I didn't have MAL or anything like it, so I don't even remember my first completed anime, but it was either Sumomomo Momomo, Kenkou Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho, or Pani Poni Dash!

I started watching anime regularly from the age of 17.

"We become what we think about"

If you want to succeed in life, plant the next goal you want to achieve in your brain, and work toward achieving that goal. write as specifically as you can the path you need to go through to get to the goal, and If that is really what you wished for, work toward it, and you will achieve it.

When I was really little I would watch like Naruto and DBZ on TV whenever it was on, but I started to watch anime regularly a year after Naruto Shippuden came out so that was 2008 since it came out in 2007, so I would've been 7, but I really started going crazy watching anime just after middle school and that's when I was watching multiple shows at a time and I would binge a whole series in a day.
