| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- A short flashback and we're into the Wano Country Act 3! This promised port already has a strange suspense to it. I'm curious to know what Orochi is up to as well. Guess we'll find out after 2 weeks since the series is going on a week break. |

| So, no reinforcements arrived to asist the rebellion. Truly something is fishy here. I wonder what happened the previous night. It was also nice to see a glimpse of Gol D. Rogers' crew and Oden. |

| A let down compared to the previous 2 bombshells, still pretty decent by itself. Nice to see more of Roger's funny side. Where did the 40,000 come from? In 955 Robin said they were 30,000 total, a typo? It seems like Kanjuro isn't the traitor. |

| This is definitely not how Kinemon and co. want to start off the 3rd act. Things are already going wrong. Bummed as usual that theres a break next week but Oda has been dropping straight heat for the last few weeks he deserves all the rest he can get. | Good to see Roger again, looks as goofy and energetic as Luffy in this chapter, showing more parallels between his personality and Luffy's. Although, Luffy does not drink (yet?). It seems like Oda is preparing to reveal more about Roger and his crew, looking at the new faces on his ship, specifically talking about the two giant dudes, also the suspiciously Ben Beckman looking fella. I can't believe the cliff hanger this chapter ended up on though, very unpredictable, it is so heartbreaking especially seeing Inurashi, a Mink, not lose faith at the end, their exceptional loyalty has been betrayed by the looks of it, but the Straw Hats can never do something so horrible, something big must have happened, is this tied to the #BUSTERCALL hashtag that was roaming twitter the other day? It is the 4th of October after all. Was there a buster call that we don't know of? Maybe Kaido came and singlehandedly finished everyone off? It's so sinister, too bad it's no chapter next week. I NEED ANSWERS!!! |
| The flashback at the beginning was really nice and a fitting pre-intro for this chapter and act. Seems like Orochi is smarter than I gave him credit for and the question who's actually the traitor or how the enemy is able to be so well informed is urging me more than ever. Definitely a severe blow for our alliance, but I like the fact that Orochi finally came off as a real threat. Great chapter again. I liked how they started off Act 3 with everyone in party mood just to shift to Kinemon and the rest. The shock, sadness and despair were portrayed really well, I wonder if that was already the tragedy supposed to occur in this act or if it is just the beginning. However, suspiscious is that no one replied after Kinemon tried to contact them. I can't be sure, but imo this smells like there was secretly a change of plans in the manner of, "first you have to fool your friends" Well, I'm sure we will get answers soon enough and hopefully also some additional flashbacks. |

| Besides things going down very bad for the samurai, O-kiku´s Samurai armor looked really cool. I do expect a fight or something like it by the Shogun, but I guess someone helped them or they will rise from the water like Edward did in Marineford. |

| Loved the little Roger flashback in the beginning, I really want to see more of the past as well. Sucks to see things going wrong already, Orochi is smarter than I gave him credit for. Really curious to see what happened on the night before. That one panel with the Samurai facing Onigashima was so damn good. Long wait to the next chapter. |

| Mankind knew that they cannot change society. So instead of reflecting on themselves, they blamed the beasts. |
| Instead of the calm before the storm feeling, this chapter felt like the misery before the storm. The way Oda displays the dichotomy between Orochi's group and Kinemon's group using the weather and atmosphere was done very well. Orochi is excited for the banquet and feels accomplished and untouchable, but Kinemon is feeling desperate and sad as the rain pours on them and there's signs of an attack that happened. Such a cliffhanger along with great suspense leaves us wanting more. Despite how short the chapter was, Oda did a fine job. He needed to do one of these short little suspense chapters to open up the third act with after writing some huge revelations in the last two chapters. |
