| Hello everyone, and welcome to the 34th edition of the Anime Roulette. For those who are new, in the monthly Roulette everyone submits an anime, at the beginning of the following month every anime submitted gets randomised, and you end up having to watch the anime you received. You have two months (preferably one) to watch your anime or you'll end up penalised, so be careful. I advise to read the rules if it's your first time participating, everything's there. New accounts, or accounts with 40 or less anime watched might be banned from entry depending solely on the mod's opinion about whether their profile is trustworthy or not. I'll randomise the submited anime on the 1st of June. Once randomized, you will know what anime you have to watch, and you will have 2 months to do that (preferably one). If you have watched the source of an anime and you don't want to watch the adaptation, or if you have strong feelings of animosity against it (you have to say why, and I won't accept the likes of "I don't like the genre" as an excuse. I'll definitely keep in mind if you systematically try to avoid anime for no evident reason), please SAY SO before the randomization starts. To say that, if you watched the source you don't need any specific format, but if you have other reason (strong feelings of animosity) you have to stress that you do not want the anime by either bolding or underlining the not. Once everyone gets their anime, the only reclamation I'll accept is that you already have your anime in your list or that you already told me that you didn't want it in a proper way. I'd love if you let me know in the comments that you finished your anime. That way, you can discuss it with other members (especially the one who submitted it) and it makes it easier for me to make the count. |

| @Mikochondria @SheyCroix I don’t know why it’s listed as sequel when it isn’t, it’s not based on the games, & you can see in source it’s stated as original, I searched & found these >> You can check more in the Internet & see it’s persona but it’s a story on it’s own. |

Yes, you may be able to understand the story without any prior knowledge, but at the end of the day it doesn't make much sense to watch a Persona anime if you already plan to play the games one day or if you are not interested in the franchise. To further prove my point, top reviews talk about the games in their first few lines, and the anime has a low overall score, especially for such a famous franchise, which leads me to believe that it's more of a fanservice anime than anything. I do believe that anyone interested in the Persona franchise will look for the anime on their own, and I doubt someone who accidentally stumbles upon an instalment that not even fans seem to like (given its much lower than average score even when aimed at a specific audience) will start buying games as a result. If that's the case, why isn't every anime which assumes you know the characters and their backstories from other sources banned from the roulette? There are some anime that are like that but you can thoroughly enjoy as stand-alone, such as Fate/Zero or Ga-Rei Zero, and most things fall under "prequel or sequel" anyway, so I feel there's no need to do that. tldr; pick something else. (CC: @SheyCroix @Mikochondria) I'm guilty as charged, I didn't (don't) have a lot of spare time, so the anime I watch is pretty much what I feel like at the time. I'll watch my assigned anime when summer starts :D |

| @Kassitero since i just finished Usagi Drop, i will just copy my thoughts from my branch here (which explains the Amaama to Inazuma comparisons) Usagi Drop is really good, although not quite as incredible as Amaama to Inazuma but that´s because it´s in addition a cooking show which makes it creative as hell lol. The kid raising parts are equally good in both. What is obviously a massive difference is that in Amaama, we have a real father raising his real daughter and he already knows her perfectly well when the show starts while in Usagi Drop you get a single man in his 30s adopting a six year old kid he doesn´t know at the beginning of the series. This is used very well because it leads to some great moments of the two getting closer and closer together to being a real family. Also, almost all supporting characters are parents of young children as well, and whenever they talk about parenting, you can witness this learning process that´s going on inside of Daikichis head. However, this already is too much in-depth analysis lol. Like every Slice of Life, it´s made for the relaxation and peace of heart of the viewer. Rin is an absolute angel and a superkid so Daikichi is really fortunate. As a result, we get so many sweet and lovely moments and the hard parts of raising a child is, while by no means left out, somewhat secondary. Probably the perfect mix actually since most actual parents will tell you their child is giving them much more joy than pain or stress. so yeah...it´s sweet, it´s healing, it´s relaxing and it´s funny. Very good SoL anime. In addition, i wanna pull Kouki´s mom out of the screen and propose to her. What a wonderful woman. On a sidenote: i spoilered myself on what happens after the anime and looked at the manga ending. Not gonna spoiler it for anyone else here but all i can say is: thank you anime god for not turning this trainwreck into an anime. I really don´t wanna see any of this crap lol much happier with the open anime ending. |
| @PhKay I am really glad you liked Usagi Drop, since it is one of my favourites animes. About Amaama to Inazuma, I haven't read/watched it yet, even though I've been recommended it a lot, so I think i will try to read the manga in not so much time. And yeah, the manga of Usagi Drop is one of those things that deserves to be incinerated. |

| @Conde_Mohr Finished watching Golden Kamuy [18-21 August] At times I had no comment on what I saw, but I couldn't stop laughing each episode, & it has weird characters, & the food umm I don't want to know how did they make it, I just want to go straight eat it lol How many months is my penalty? |
