btw i can't recommend watching the anime, it's 50 episodes long and they still don't adapt the whole manga. i think it's a good anime still, but it's also one of those cases where it's not a very good adaption and it doesn't really add anything when you've already read the manga.

that's fair enough, i do quite like the oldschool shoujo manga style ^^ anyways i'm glad you got into it, yeah I do really like it, it's one of my favorites after all. I'm not great at giving recommendations so I'm happy that you ended up liking it

ah, cool tradition. well, i can't promise you'll like it, i can just say why i liked it and hope you will feel similar. it does have it's issues (it breaks the 4th wall way too much) but i did really love it.

btw, since you also thought Futatsu no Spica was magical, you might enjoy Gokinjo Monogatari as well since I also like that for sort of the same reason (but a big part of it is also how much like a real person mikako feels like and how easy it is to get into her head so to speak :p)

Well, I finished Bonnouji. I thought it was nice, but nothing special really. Would've liked it if they gave some more development to her old relation instead of kinda just ignoring it was a thing the whole time

Anyways I wanted to see what it was like for myself so that's why I chose to read the manga instead ^^ I don't really regret it even if it was super ugh

I don't remember exactly, but either I couldn't get something or no one could get your anime, so I had to re-roll something you rated high in place of what you nominated and it became that movie.

If you want to watch more Yuasa, I think you should watch Ping Pong, it's the best I think, or Kaiba if you're in the mood for it's artstyle ^^ They don't have the same-y feel that night is short and tatami has though

I guess I should tell you what I thought of the night is short walk on girl despite not being a straightforward nomination... I thought it was okay. I think Yuasa is great at bringing out the best of things, but if there's two things I didn't like about Tatami & I don't think he's good at it's being funny (even if it's probably partially lost in translation) & I don't think he's that good at being melodramatic so I just wasn't feeling it a lot of time. I also don't think I'll allow it in the future due to Tatami spoilers. It's still fun to see Yuasa direct no matter what though so I'm glad I saw it. I'm a bit disappointed though since it's a major step down, ambition-wise, from everything else he's done. It's probably less flawed, but it's just missing that hint of greatness everything else I've seen from him (Ping Pong, Tatami, Kaiba) has
