| Steins;Gate is one of my favorites. It's one of the shows that got me into anime to begin with. The first eleven episodes were really slow for me (it took me over a week to make it through), but I was intrigued enough to keep going, especially as I had my own preexisting fascination with things regarding parallel universes, CERN, theoretical physics, etc. One night before I was planning to go to bed, I watched episode 12, and then I ended up binging the rest of the series in a single sitting, rather than getting any sleep that night whatsoever. I like psychological thrillers, though. Tbh I loved everything about the show after that. The OVA and movie were great, and even S;G 0 was pretty good. S;G 0 is really slow, too, but the last four episodes make the entire series worth it. The post credit scene of the final episode... holy fucking shit. |

| im not going to convince u but its one of my favourites as i have done lots of research into cern and the lhc way before i watched steins gate and was surprised lol im a sucker for conspiracy theories and seeing a anime incorporate one of my favourite ones made me binge watch it in like a day and i found it very interesting . its an acquired taste if u dont like it then u dont |

| So you need motivation to watch? Well if that's the case you shouldn't bother watching it. If you have a lack of motivation to watch Steins Gate then don't. Steins gate is indeed popular, but popular ≠ good. Some consider this anime as "bad/ not interesting " and if you keep "dropping" the anime, I guess you're one of those people. You don't have to force yourself to watch an anime that doesn't interest you. |
| There are no reasons. You are allowed not to watch it. You have your own reasons to drop it and they are legit. Don't force yourself. Popular is not equal to good and this show may be not as great as they try to convince you. As I watched it, I'd say that this show doesn't have something very special to be necessarily watched by every anime fan. You can skip it with no regret |

| Don't, is all I can tell you. I watched it in 2011 and regretted it. Regretted it even more when I learned that a sequel aired in 2018, why because I feel obligated to watch a sequel or prequel of an anime I have finished, regardless if I liked it or not. So in closing don't watch it. |
