I noticed that there were A LOT of un animated scenes this episode, and it kind of pulled me out of the experience. I love this show, but shit, I hope the quality does go downhill in future eps

Seems like this episode was outsourced, so that's probably why it felt different.

The sudden shounen-style NAKAMA powerup for Ouji was expected but it didn't make it any less unrealistic or lame. There's just no way a few months is all it would take for a weak frail guy who never even exercised properly before to suddenly become a runner capable of competing with accomplished athletes who've been running for years and of reaching qualifying times for serious competitions. In one word, it's BS.
Though I suppose, if you could close your eyes to this obvious shounen spocon bs, the show is still quite enjoyable.

The art quality died this episode. The ending was a tad too cheesy, the previous Prince's episode was better.

The scene with Haiji and the doctor felt ominous. Hopefully he doesn't get injured again.

Wonder what Musa wanted to say to Kakeru xD. Definitely was being weird...
Oji made it after several attempts. Wholesome episode...now onto the Ekiden!

Musa is such an amazing character. He feels like such a genuine soul and he feels so unique among the pile of generic characters we have been getting the past few years. Of course him being black is part of it, but his mannerisms and personality are so distinct and memorable. You just want to hug him.

On to Prince, his growth is very unrealistic, but I am ok with that. This episode was a very satisfying payoff despite its predictability.

Beautiful eps...I really want to cry now haha...sports anime always give you goosebumps and that passion...yeah, sometimes when you want to do your best, so many questions appear inside your head, like why I do this? For who? Why I should give my best? Will I get the benefit? Only you can answer all of that questions.

Excellent ending of the episode in which the character of Ouji puts it all to finish the race in the right time. Pleasant episode in all its narration, with moments really deep in the dialogues. The beginning is very funny, with Haiji encouraging the guys to do well during the Hakone race.

Did anyone notice that they recycled a Haikyuu OST in the first part?
I had to laugh really hard as that one guy said that it's really well edited.

I did notice for sure and it had me tear up way too suddenly. That ost always moves my very heart! Honestly, it's so great they put such a nice easter egg in there ♥

The boys probably got some tan from running this much outside. The studio seems to pay attention to such details since, if you watch closely, their skin also looks a bit reddish after a hot bath.

Yuki and Prince must have some good sunscreens tho.

Damn this was a good episode. Definitely had me tearing near the end. Really loving how they handled 王子 and his growth physically and personality wise. The dude actually has people he cares for and something to fight for, while before all he did was read manga. Also for the people who look at the little things, sure the animation wasn't as nice as usual, but did you notice the tiny changes? 王子 posture/physique changes and physique changes on some other characters. They also changed the skin tone of some to show that they were running in the sun. Not that it matters and it's not a problem but I also think Musa might be gay.

I'm glad for Prince. He had improved enough.
All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

This is another splendid episode. I laughed at the part about the video of Ekiden but I was so touched to see Prince prevailed and got his official record. That was one of the most beautiful scene for me so far. Aweee Haiji, don't cry. I wonder what Musa would like to say to Kakeru? And it was nice to see Yuki getting involved in the scientific stuff in running

Priiiiince, he freaking did it! Holy fuck that made me tear up, I'm so happy for him.

This training arc really made them grow personally and even more as a team, and the reward is here with the access to the qualifiers for all of them, man this anime only keeps getting better and better.

the growth omg im so proud

everyone got their record and it's such a great feeling since they've all worked so hard for it and believed in each other ;-;

at the end when haiji started getting emotional, i felt that 8^8

so many great moments in this episode like the whole team gathering around the bonfire, the fireworks, the mountain view, the funny bath scene XD

when prince looked at the calendar and realized the next meet was his last chance omg i got so anxious for him >.<

the fact that the team was by his side at the beginning of the race and the 'forward' they wrote on his arm T^T very good episode and i'm so happy for them

Love the episode title. You’re Not Alone♡

Haiji & Kakeru looked so cute with their tan. Haiji is such a babe.

Kakeru has really opened up & it’s nice to see him no longer brooding & being moody & having fun with the rest. Also wtf was Musa on about?????? Kakeru always running up in the front & not knowing & being young???? Is he saying that Kakeru has a nice ass or something L O L

And yay Ōji made it!!!!!! That was so moving it brought tears to my eyes, especially when Haiji cried. I loved how they ended the episode. Love the art direction! The storyboarding & direction is also a strong part of this sports anime. I liked the way they directed the first part of this episode too it was really unique with the jumps & cuts.

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

Yeah as soon as the episode started it just felt different with the quick cuts to different moments.

That said, loved the ending, finally Prince got the qualifying time ... with some seconds to spare as well!
