The CGI was pretty terrible…
especially if everything else is drawn

Not nearly as funny, and the performance just turned out to be a standard idol thing. The frame rate was pretty bad during the CGI as well. If they do use CGI again, I hope they can actually make it smooth. Love Live used CGI for a lot of the dances, but I don't recall them ever having issues with frame rate or having it look too out of place. I just hope the will continue to mix up the performances; the metal and rap stuff was great from before.

If it wasn't for the legendary Yamada Tae, this episode would be pretty disappointing. The CGI was not good, like at all.

Though looks like we have a hotspring/bathhouse episode next.

Tae starts to do less stupid except that she sent Sakura in the air (not out of context), but thanks to her there is a group name
Ai and Junko intrigues me a little, seen the voluntary isolation of 2 although she saved the concert, we can also say that Yugiri acts more or less like a big sister at certain passage
Saki she in the leading role, she can do something cool otherwise Lily is the energetic little girl of the band
the cop he makes a cameo in every episode
They go to the hot springs next week GOGOGOGOGO

Decent episode. I love manager so much Go! Go! Go!

But that CG took me by surprise. It was really awkward.

Considering the general air of this show, and the lack of CG before this, it seemed to me like thwy were just trying to parody idol shows that use bad CG for their song and dance pieces. If it becomes a normal occurance going forward thoufh that's going to be rough to handle.

Overall an okay episode, but nothing was going to top that rap battle. I'm still interested, and hope they can make the the show overall live up to those incredibly strong opening episodes.

I'm really loving this show so far and finding it pretty hilarious. Mamoru Miyano's character is absolutely hilarious and almost every line from him gets a laugh out of me. I am disappointed about the CG, tho. It really didn't look good. Even if it is easier to do that with CG than hand-drawn animation, I could help but wish they had done a better job with the dancing scene and making it not look like trash. I still really look forward to this show, in spite of minor gripes with it.

Ehh... A pretty significant drop in quality compared to 1 and 2.

The humor was... Not really there. It actually felt like a generic idol show at some points (not a good thing).

I don't care if the CGI was intentional or not. If it was a joke, it wasn't executed well.

Still going to watch it, but my score has gone from a 8 to a 7.

This episode was worse than the rest, I really liked how the first two did out of the ordinary music and non cg animation. But this episode was actually idol music (which I was honestly not expecting them to do) and the characters was just so terrible. I would have accepted he chef if it was smooth but it was running at what felt like 5 fps.

Yeah I kinda hope they don't just do regular idol stuff- what would be the point of them being zombies?

I think people are jumping the gun with this episode, as it might just be a one-time thing and they will move on to the next genre. Now granted I can admit that the episode is not funny... but to call this show "turning" into an idol show as of now, when the entire premise of the show is a guy that's basically marketing the zombies for his own gain because the "Idol genre" die in that time frame, and he wants to create an idol group is kind of a pretty flimsy argument.

Unless the episode DOES go with the Idol tactic, for now I'll take this with a grain of salt.

Good episode, sure it wasn't as good as the first two but it was by no means bad.

Mamoru is the man! This guy's Engrish is just the best. XD

The CG was definitely pretty bad, in fact it was even worse than what I've seen in a lot of idol shows.

I hated this. I was hoping the CGI was a joke but there was not punchline. How can you have an idol show where the singing parts are CGI? I hope they were trying to make fun of the idol genre but just failed.
The first 2 episodes were gold. I loved the concept of it. I hope they gp back to doing something different every week. I will give this show one more episode before I drop it

It kind of stopped being comedic and started being like an idol anime. Also, I didn't expect they'd be using CGI. I hope that was just them making fun of previous idol anime by making it CGI. I'm a little bit disappointed here.

This episode wasn't that bad, but that CGI was something else as others have said.

I wanted it not to be an idols show, it has one of the coolest premises I've ever seen.

I would love the anime to follow the first 2 episodes, featuring different musical styles during series. the rap in the second ep was funny af, and the death metal of the first was what led me to continue watching the anime. Now imagine applying this formula throughout the whole anime, like the girls performing at a jazz cafe or reggae in the middle of the street.

i'm gonna end up so disappointed if the GCI is used again and wasn't a one time thing used as a joke lol all the other performances have been normally 2D

episode was alright still some small recurring bits i'm enjoying like the endless GO GO GO

Never change Tae though it looks likes shes able to follow along with a lot more stuff now

I swear Tae and Tatsumi make this show worthwhile to look forward to.

I see Ai and Junko are starting to vibe with the group, but I guess saving the day was kinda predictable. Sometimes they shouldn't do those predictable situations where we know someone will step in.

But it was an okay episode but not better than the last two.

Not a fan of the idol genre but I am thoroughly enjoying this. I really felt the cgi was a dig as well. But either way it didnt bother me. The scene with the merry-go-round about killed me. Lol

Well, I personally didn't bothered by the CG. In fact, the song they sung there was very good, that I focused to hear that rather than watch the performance (now I really want franchouchou CD song). I hope next they will do parody for another genre. We have death metal, we have rap, we have CG idol, what's next ?

An earlier post in here mentioned in Theory it was Yuugiri keeping her older sister persona. Makes sense since this anime is basically a rip on this kind of shit lol.

I don't know If it was Just me, but I felt a lot of Love Live Nods And References in this episode(Or atleast of all the Idol anime that came after it).

For example: The classic "Choosing the Center/ Leader Scene", A member slapping the Shiet out of the first memeber of the Group, And the CGI Dance Scene. Talking about the CGI it was good but not as good as other forms of CGI that we have seen from Mappa but it was also not needed so its whatever.

Next episode will be the "Obligatory Hot Spring Episode" and The Title is Hilarious. Warming dead Saga... Nice Walking dead Pun xd.

It would be amazing if they're making fun of idol performances being CGI in most series.

If not, then, uh, then this series would become what its parodying.

*Gigguk voice* Bad CG!~

Meta humor through the art itself should never come at the cost of giving the viewer eye cancer. It's like sarcasm online - no one can tell if you meant it or not, so you should never do it.

I think the scene were Yugiri slaps Sakura around without listening to anytihng she said indicates the team may have intended to parody idol episodes though the form of this episode, but as said above, it's ambiguous.

All I can say is, I came here to see deconstruction of idol anime, not to be bait and switched into one, and for the time being I'm willing to accept that the first episode opening's dramatic rejection of idol tropes will be the statement by which to judge the direction of the show. Onsen in a preview is never encouraging, and I've learned to expect the worst from anime, but I'm not sure I want to give in to despair just yet.

Hehe, look at Tae. First she was sitting on the chair, now she's laying on the floor. This girl's had so much dank weed. And I thought she was about to start sniffing on the marker...This girl is gettin' high...

Oooh! Nice attention to detail with the mirror!

Ahh Kanji giving multiple meanings to words is so awesome. Too bad it is hell to memorize them all...

We're Franchouchou now.

Well the CGI animation was quite choppy, but the song was good. But what I found most impressive was the animation for Tae in that she moves differently from everyone else. How the heck did they get her to learn the choreography anyway when she's high on squid?

Well they got one fan, but sometimes one fan is all they need...

That police officer is going to be a running gag, isn't he? Well he's always welcome!

Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!

Guess we're taking a break from the idol stuff next week to have the obligatory hot springs episode.

Also, just a little off topic, but I just noticed something with Junko...

While almost 80% of the comments are hating on the episode, I will write a good review.
I actually enjoyed it. It was nice to see the rest of the zombies get a bigger role.
Lily is so adorable and that little girl fan was so cute.
Awww when she was dancing to them.
I think it was still a good episode.
I can't wait to watch more.
I do wonder if we will get more background on the manager guy.

CGI was they straight up ripped off the CGI used in the opening animation of Senran Kagura Estival Versus. But anyways, the group has a name now which is legit. Though the rap episode is definitely gonna be hard to top for me.
Don't believe the hype.
