| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm, I think the first episode is okay. We got a fantasy setting and I think that world has some potential for world building. We meet a good amount of the main characters already and they seem pretty normal. Still, it looks like tragedy strikes for one of the main girls in this episode and she feels the reality of it. There's music and songs already which plays an important role in this series. Not too bothered by the CG stuff but the animation quality feels so-so. |

| I liked it, the music was nice, the visuals were colorful if under animated. The vibes it was giving off for most of the episode felt like a Disney movie with plenty of singing. Rin didn't get much characterization but I think the end of this episode should change her into someone more interesting. Finis seems a bit absent-minded and unaware of the harshness of the world, but her pacifism and care for her kingdom make her easy to root for when compared to the greedy prince. It seems like this will be airing week by week during the Spring season. Shouldn't it be swapped to TV, Currently Airing, and Spring 2018? |

| Oh musical. Lovely. 1, Why does this thing more Macross than the other Netflix original that Kawamori-san writes (Juushinki Pandora)? 2. I expect them to explain to us why Rin can unfreeze the young knight's leg but cannot save her sister. 3. Regarding Suzuki Konomi's performance: while she gets the general expression right, the details ain't right yet. Stuff like breath when to breath in and breath out, or spatial control, or etc., she still does that like a normal pop singer. 4. Also Netflix messes up the sound arrangement. The ambient sound and BGM bury the voice the singer. Bad. 5. But the BGM and the songs are nice. 6. Although, at the same time, that's not really a praise, but a critic, bcs on Lost Song's case it's more bcs of the story being boring than the BGM being special. 7. and oh yes man repair how that armpit of Rin looks like, please. I can't fap to that. |

| To be honest, not too shabby. Actually quite enjoyable, especially for a first episode, despite the average animation quality. |

| saw this on netflix and decided to try it out, surprised there arent more viewers for it despite it being on netflix. the animation doesnt bother me, despite the fact i was kind of expecting something like violet evergarden. it's a pretty generic first episode, still going good though. like the guy above me said go, rin totally had enough time to sing the song of healing while mel was dying. |
| Man first episode already got me crying. I’m a HUGE sucker for anything with a lot of songs. Especially anime. One of my favorite thing in anime is singing and I don’t mean idol series. Just series that have characters singing in them. The music is super nice and the visuals are so pretty. |
