 The Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu stage event at the MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2017 on Sunday has announced that the series will receive a new OVA. More information regarding the new episode will be revealed at a later date.Written by Tappei Nagatsuki with illustrations by Shinichirou Ootsuka, the light novel inspired a 25-episode anime adaptation by studio White Fox in Spring 2016. The series placed second in the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi 2017 rankings' best light novel category, and won first place in Sugoi Japan 2017 in both anime and light novel categories. Kadokawa published the novel's 13th volume on June 24, with the 14th volumes scheduled for release on September 25. I've been so ecstatic for the last 10 minutes and I just cannot believe it. While the promotional video, in all honesty, was hilarious and nothing too special, the thought of this eventually leading to a second Season has me euphoric and elated. I don't care if this OVA will be more favored to the Rem opposition side, as long as it's not Rem:if and we get to see more Re:Zero brilliance it's all I want and need. Can't wait to check this OVA out and come across such blessing announcements regarding Season 2 in the near future. |

| The fourth arc is nearly over and itself alone is enough to cover another 2 cour. I am think that this is more like a stop gag measure. To keep the fan base alive and motivated and at the same time give the ln a bit more of a breathing room to sell and release more volumes and than a second season in an instant. |

| Lol I can't believe they actually let Rem breaks the 4th wall to say "O-V-A desu" Rem is self-acknowledging how popular she is. She's just as precious as I remembered her. Heh, I still remembered her, yay. Though I wonder if they actually gonna adapt the IF chapter or just the mayonnaise chapters. And I'm still wondering whether or not the anime will ever give us a short OVA/epilogue for the actual ending on arc 3. Or they'd just skip that forever till season 2 to avoid the salt. |

| I'm sure a season 2 will come. I mean this show was huge when it aired. I've never seen anything like it on the forums it was an absolute shitstorm. The LN is still very much hot property they probably want to get far enough ahead before a second season is announced. Hopfully MAL will be ready for it then. |

| I don't get why people expect an adaptation of the Natsuki Family IF Chapter ( more commonly known as "Rem IF" ) in the first place. People had to buy all 9 BD/DVD volumes to gather codes necessary to get a grasp of the limited LN about this alternate route. Producing an anime adaptation about it which will most likely cost only a fraction of what they had to pay, sounds like a very bad and upsetting move for those involved. |
