| Now that the main series has all been adapted I'm curious to see where other fans would rank this season among the others especially considering the fact that it's getting such high scores. Honestly my only issues with it was some of the info dumping that can be a bit much as per usual with monogatari and some inconsistency in production/direction. Even if you just do a top 5 I'd love to see your opinions I'm just curious tbh but personally I'd rank the entire series as follows: 1. Second Season 2. Bake 3.Owari S2 4. Neko Kuro 5.. Nise 6. | 1. Bake - It began all here and it probably still has the best dialogues. As a complete sucker for Hitagi this is her most charming perfomance. 2. Kizu III - Monstrous ending to a tormented beggining in every aspect 3. Owari 2 - The poetic and most wished/deserved ending for any Monogatari fan. 4. Second Series - It has a decent depth, but sometimes is stretching it too much and I found myself a few times bored. 5. Owari 1 - Interesting storytelling and atmosphere. |

| For my rankings: 1. Kizu III - had one of the best fight scenes ever and an impactful ending 2. Monogatari SS - Tsubasa Tiger felt eh compared with everything else 3. Bake - great dialogue, classic monogatari directing, and lots of Senjo screentime 4. Owari 1 - loved Sodachi's arcs A LOT 5. Owari 2 - i accidentally spoiled myself about Ougi a while ago so i couldn't enjoy this that much 6. Tsuki - more Ononoki is always welcome 7. Kizu II - amazing fight scenes but content from the novel was cut and that annoyed me 8. Nise - obnoxious fanservice but lots of interest characters introduced and explored it's themes very well 9. Kizu I - best directed and animated but nothing really happens outside of what's in the synopsis 10. Koyomi - short, entertaining and had an unexpected ending 11. Hana - didn't care for the characters that much, fell asleep twice but the ending was satisfying TBW - Neko Kuro |

| Ooo this is a fun idea op. My rankings are; Bake Kizu Tsuki Neko Kuro Owari 2 Second Season I rated all those 8-10, everything I left out was 7's for me and I can't pick what order I'd put them in. I find it interesting how far up most people put Owari 1, it's one of my least favorites although still good overall. |

I didn't like kizumonogatari much at all because I feel like it deviated from monogatari's usual style too much and Owarimonogatari s1 is probably my least favorite season because it was so boring for me. |

| I may sound a little hater in here, but I cannot understand the high rankings in kizumonogatari, the movie is Gorgeously animated, but most content is cut making a lot of the movie plain and not hard but impossible to understand (unless you have read the novel so you can know what is Koyomi thinking -something that happens in the show but not in the movie-) and 1/3 of the movies is Hanekawa fanservice... is the less monogatari of all the monogatari adaptations |

| It won't be a full ranking, because I have seen mainly only TV series so far :> But for now it goes like this: 1. Monogatari Series: Second Season - one of my all-time favourites, easily the best one in the series. I will never forget one particularly beautiful scene with Hachikuji, but it had plenty other great and memorable moments as well. 2. Nisemonogatari - it was the first season that hooked me up, I didn't enjoy Bake before that, although now I'm sure I'd be able to appreciate it a lot more. 3. Owarimonogatari 2nd Season - I guess it could serve as an okay conclusion, but ending was a bit too weak and short to my liking :| But the rest was super fun to watch (and I got my best girl back)! 4. Bakemonogatari - I really need to re-watch this though, took me forever to complete it and I never properly got into the story. 5. Owarimonogatari - when I watched it for the first time I was disappointed and quite bored, but now I wonder if I'd change my mind after getting to understand Ougi more. 6. Tsukimonogatari - I love Ononoki, but I honestly don't remember anything about that one, other than it being pretty dull. |

| Pretty hard to rank the seasons considering how much the quality clashes between some arcs, but ok. 1. Owari 2 Can't say much about this, having watched the series again and again to finally see how beautifully it connected right at the end rocketed this into the top instantly. And it's not just the finale, the entire season was very solid and fun to watch, not to mention much better animated than Owari 1. 2. Bake The one that started it all and would probably still be first if not for Nadeko Snake. I still rewatch it every now and again more than any other season and Tsubasa Cat is one of my favorite arcs. 3. Kizu I still have trouble about how should I feel about how absurd and over the top some scenes are, but the movies were still amazing and the visual presentation is probably my favorite ever. 4. Second Season If I were to talk about my favorite arcs, then Hitagi End and Tsubasa Tiger are up there with Ougi Dark and Tsubasa Cat. Mayoi Jiangshi always felt kinda weak to me, even though it should carry a lot of emotional weight (need to read the novels, apparently there was a lot of cut content here). Nadeko Medusa and Shinobu Time are very good, though the latter has a bit too much of Araragi's signature loli assault. Not that I mind it at this point but it takes up time and wasn't as funny as usual. Even if SS has two of my favorite arcs it is weaker visually than basically every other season, probably with the exception of Owari 1, which is a huge part of why I enjoy this series so much so I really can't see it higher than this. 5. Nise This is the funniest, most entertaining season in the series. I could probably binge it once a week without ever getting bored. Even if I'd consider Karen Bee and Tsukihi Phoenix to be some of the weaker arcs in the series, episode 5 and 11 are some of my favorites in the entire series. Maybe Nise doesn't carry as much weight as Kizu or Owari 2, but it looks amazing, sounds great and I never get tired of it. Also best girl Kaiki was introduced here. 6. Owari I can't speak that much about Owari 1 because it's one of the few seasons I've only seen once and it's been almost 2 years. The first 3 arcs with Ougi and Sodachi were damn good, but I don't remember Shinobu Mail that much. The animation and overall visuals were at its worst but at least the soundtrack was as good as always. 7. Tsuki For some reason Tsuki reminded me of Nise, maybe it was the comedy or how energetic it al felt but it gave me the same vibe. Of course it doesn't have Kaiki so it can't be as good. Jk, I need to rewatch this, last time was before Owari 1 aired so I hardly remember the details, and I'm sure that now with a different perspective of the whole situation it'll be much better. There is one thing won't ever be able to erase from my mind and that is how good this season looks. Kizu aside this had the best animation and use of color in the series. 8. Hana Tbh, I never gave Hana much of a chance. When it aired I was travelling and couldn't wait so I streamed it on my phone. Every bit of immersion or appreciation I could have for the presentation was gone. I was left with the plot and characters, which I remember being better than usual. The thing is, I was already kinda disconnected from it, and the season itself was very much disconnected from most of the main story so I couldn't find as much enjoyment as in other seasons. I've been waiting for the series to be over to rewatch it since it kinda felt like an epilogue, so I guess I know what to watch next time I'm bored. 9. Koyomi What can I even say? Last two episodes aside, this is just a bunch of fun little stories. Nothing bad, but nothing amazing. The last episodes are really good and relevant to the story, though. 10. Neko Kuro I don't know what to feel about this season, it always felt weird for some reason. More insight into Hanekawa is always great, but I can't help but feel like something is out of place. It's been a while since the last time I watched it, though, and probably I just needed context from Kizu. The presentation did feel weaker than most other seasons, though. So... yeah, that's about it. We're not supposed to make listing threads so I ended up adding my thoughts on every season. |

I probably loved every arc of it 2- Kizu (8/10 for all three): Pretty visuals, amazing fights and soundtracks and an extremely relaxing end. 3- Monogatari SS (7.5/10): Not the biggest fan but it is one of the better ones. 4- Nise (7/10): Nostalgic I guess 5- Owari (6.5/10): Great Soundtracks and great ending, but rest of stuff boring and forgettable. 6- Tsuki (6/10): Short and forgettable 7- Neko Kuro (6/10): It was good except that I've never been able to get fond of Hanekawa 8- Hana (6/10): Short and forgettable 9- Koyomi (5.5/10): Short and forgettable (and boring) Noticing the trend that it became worse for me in chronological order. Possibly cause of less and less Oshino Meme. |

| I wouldn't consider myself a huge Monogatari fan, but I definitely enjoyed the majority of the series. 1. Kizu 9 / 10 Grouping the movies together, but I thought part 2 was best. No real complaints about this. Pretty much encompassed everything I enjoyed about Monogatari 2. Nise 9 / 10 The most fun I had watching the series, the best comedy in the monogatari series aswell as two nice stories. 3. Second season 8/10 Tsubasa tiger was the only weak arc in this series, rest had great depth and emotional moments. 4. Owari S2 8/10 Wasn't a fan of episode 1 / 2 with not much happening and almost feeling like a recap. Second half was pretty great and delivered a satisfying conclusion to the main story. 5. Bake 8/10 May revisit this as I felt like I missed allot, not being used to the Monogatari style and characters. Despite it feeling weird I enjoyed the first season allot with it's bizarre artstyle and story telling. 6. Hana 7/10 A little bit too slow for my taste in areas, but overall a decent enough arc. 7. Tsuki 6.5/10 Enjoyed watching this one, but it was one of the less memorable monogatari arcs. 8. Owari S1 6 / 10 Didn't care much for any of the arcs besides the last one, and I found Ougi to be annoying throughout this season. 9. Neko 5 / 10 I found this arc really boring, considering we were already told about it in bake. |

| #1 is Bake, the last one is the Kizu trilogy. There have been so many arcs and seasons that I can remember only few things: Nekomonogatari: kuro was the worst arc. Nisemonogatari was a big disappointment after Bake, but I think I would appreciate Kaiki's introduction more if I rewatched the season. Mostly my impressions are guided by my fondness of each characte. I love Senjougahara and Ononoki but don't really care about Hanekawa's and Araragi's chemistry (except in Bake). IIRC 2nd season had the best Sengoku plotlines, which I did enjoy. I found her character very believable, and I was able to relate to the exploration of self-pity. Initially I found Koyomimonogatari boring, but the way it transitioned to Owari 2 was brilliant. It was a very nice recap of everything that had happened in the series. It was the calm before the storm, and I found that Koyomi really got me back into the monogatari groove. |

| 1- Owari S1: i felt everything was perfectly executed. it made me feel very strong emotions. it got me moved. i just find it perfect in every aspect. it also flushes out a lot of aspects concerning most characters, especially Araragi. 2- Owari S2: it feels like the perfect conclusion the series deserves. Ougi Dark was also amazing. 3- Bake: the start of the series. you feel everything is fresh and new, the stories felt compelling. pretty much nostalgia factor (even though i started like 2 months ago. lol) 4- Tsuki: the beginning of the end. the series starts taking a more serious tone and story keeps you waiting for more. i also felt this part had a big improvement in art and music which only got better and better during both seasons of Owari. don't get me wrong, the other parts sure have those aspects done in an amazing way (hell, Bake looks better than 95% of anime coming out these days and it was done 8 years ago) but i just felt this season had a big improvement, 5- Second Season: the characters we already love have even more screentime so we get to love them even more. i'd place this higher in ranking if only Tsubasa Tiger and Nadeko Medusa were more compelling. 2 arcs about Hanekawa dealing with the same problems right after each others and not far off from Tsubasa Cat felt like an overkill to the point where it almost made me hate Hanekawa and Nadeko Medusa had Nadeko being kinda irritating in some parts. Mayoi Jiangshi, Shinobu Time and Hitagi End still deserve some spotlight as they were so amazing. 6- Kizu (all 3 movies): watching it right after Owari felt really perfect as you have an entire arc focusing on Shinobu and Araragi and how deep their bond is then you suddenly go back to where it all begun, why their bond is that strong, what really happened for all these events to take place. it also had a completely different style for the rest of the series both in terms of arc and story narration. it felt like a refresher and had some pretty amazing scenes. 7- Nise: we finally get to see the characters of Araragi's sisters after we're only treated with them making the previews of Bake's episode. still can't get bored of their catch phrase in the previews. 8- Hana: not too special but still felt nice overall. 9: Koyomi: felt like that kind of spinoff shorts that they release for fans only for you to find out they were building up for the start of the climax of the series. the finale felt intense but the rest were just good to watch for fun. 10- Neko: Kuro: and this is where i'll get most hate (if anybody actually continued reading up to this point). we are given an entire arc telling us the events that took place during Golden Week which focuses on Hanekawa and her problems. It felt too uneventful and boring at some points but its end still manages to be great with the way it ties in directly with the start of Bake. |
