| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was nice, liked the visual quality of for a short. And the melancholic setting with the cat narrative is smooth too. The most noticeable part is actually the music imo, just very consistent matching in tone with the storytelling so far about the lifestyle of a cat. The narrator did a good at portraying the character.  |

| Starting with an instrumental song. OP: "Garasu no Hitomi (硝子の瞳)" by Masumi Ito Roommate leaving with her boyfriend, and start of the life between the girl and her cat. She's having hard time finding a job, and her mother wanting her to be back after graduation since there's no roommate, anymore. The cat can feel her pain. ED: "Sonata (ソナタ)" by Clammbon BD & DVD will include a Complete ver. (4 eps. + additional scene into one) as main, and 4 eps. separately as tokuten. | That ED is really cute and heartwarming Really nice first episode, great visuals and use of music and I like that the Neko also has POV too I truly feel for the girl though since I've seen people with her problems before and I know that it's hard :( And the poor cat wants to help but he can't either TwT |

| I found this similar to whole Illusionary world motive from Clannad. Their relationship is similar. Also poster is very similar to After Story's. Looking forward for more episodes. |

| Great anime. Loved this episode. 5/5 It won me over in under 5 minutes. Amazing how quickly it made me care about the girl and the cat. Hang in there both of you! Hits in dem feels. What this anime does in 7 minutes many fail to do in 12 or more episodes. |

| Aah, beautiful start, I like how they portrayed those emotions very well, even in this small time given. And HanaKana adds another level of greatness to this. My guess he didn't want to do the same thing again but always wanted to bring more life to his story. I bet he shared his ideas with current director too. |

| It would have been better if the "cat" didn't blur the line between a passive observer in the story and a narrator for the audience, but it was a anime that tries to make you feel primarily, and just like many it felt the need to tell you how to feel at the right moment that it chooses. |

| Wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this shorts series, but it was a very good first episode that made my shed a few tears by the end. The main character's situation is really relatable to me atm, but it was heartwarming and touching to see the love Daru has for her, and to see that despite a bad day, she still gets up the next day and continues to learn to love the imperfect and a little cruel world that's on the other side of the heavy door. That was a great way to end the episode. Really enjoying the soft and calm atmosphere. |
| Cat can't do anything about her problems and can only be there, that has to count for something, hopefully it doesn't turn out to have a sad conclusion. |

| As someone who's been through that uncertain stage in life, I can totally reflect on my own experiences and relate to what the girl is going through. It's a shame I never had a cat to comfort me during those tough times.... 7 short minutes and already I'm lovin' it. |
