| I kind of expected Hilda to die, because she isn't on the cover of any the DVD releases I've seen of Outlaw Star (what a spoiler, huh?). Having said that it's a real shame. She was a badass sexy lady and I would have loved to have her bossing Gene around on the ship (and in bed too!). I suppose this will be part of Gene's character development as he'll have to toughen up now. This series, it's a blast. |

| I was shocked that Hilda died. It seemed like it might happen, but I really didn't think it would. I could have sworn I saw her in later episodes as a kid, but I think that maybe I just didn't see her when I first saw it and saw her later. She's the Billy Bones of this Treasure Island. |

Hilda's final words is Outlaws don't die so easily. And Stars probably symbolizes that Hilda died in that sun. Definitely gonna keep gonna on watching this! |

| Damn! Cant believe they killed Hilda, she was best girl. The moment the villain grandpa bit the dust I thought shit just got real, but I didn't expect for it to get this real this fast. I mean, lets face it Hilda was the wise mentor that dies, that was a no-brainer, but it being in episode 4 got me by surprise. Good seeing theres actual stakes and consequences though. Overall I'm hooked, I'm starting to understand why this anime is so well spoken of. |
| Well this became a sad episode at the end didn't it? I didn't expect Hilda to die in this episode I mean I was honestly expecting her to last a little longer then again it should've been obvious to me considering she's not in the opening but man I gotta admit, her taking out one of the pirates after her with nothing but a grenade in her tooth whilst floating a huge star? It's a pretty badass way to go for her. If you're gonna die then do it in a cool way. That being said I really liked Hilda, she was a badass herself. Really liked that in honour of her memory, Gene called the ship he inherited: The Outlaw Star. I guess it's going to be a way to toughen Gene up in terms of character development. I'm starting to see why people consider this a cult classic here. |
