So this girl was born in 1898 and is apparently still healthy at the moment .-. She says her secret to her longevity is unknown even to her, but we all know it's from watching butt tons of anime, I mean imagine 42,705 days (117 years) worth of anime completed on your MAL profile. You'd be boss for sure!

Also worth noting her husband died in 1931 and she lived through the entire 20th century, just to make you feel smaller~~~ Anyways, happy birthday to her.

I think you're thinking of China, but in 117 years, she just has to have tried it at least once~

However, the law is about to be changed to give vacation time to Japanese workers so lifespans for the average office lady and salaryman will increase.

Isn't the oldest person always Japanese?

It's because of the way they eat. Japanese food is plain and nutritious.

Jeanne Calment lived to be 122 and a half years old, and she was from France.

I heard that a Japanese person who spends a combined time of 5 days in the rain without an umbrella without dying due to a cold grows a second tail and gets eternal life.

When she was born China still had an Imperial Dynasty ruling its lands. She's lived through the reign of 4 Japanese Emperors and 20 American Presidents.

An average Chinese person does not eat dog. Dog meat is a delicacy and it is more or less an acquired taste similar to stinky tofu in beijing and durians in hong kong.

On a side note, why is the eating of dog meat illegal? We eat chickens and pigs, but is it because dogs are cute so therefore we shouldn't eat them? Why don't we consider pigs cute?

Actually, she's old enough to be Popeye's mom.

No, it's different for each nationality. In America you have to have a spotless and neatly trimmed lawn and keep all kids and kids toys off of it for 10 years straight then you get a rocking chair bestowed from the heavens and as long as you stay connected to it most of the day you will not die. That's why old guys are always yelling to get off their lawn.

It makes perfect sense, and it's probably like this in Brazil too.

Five people born in the 1800s are still with us - and they're all women. Three of these supercentenarians live in the United States.

Don't the South Korean eat dogs too? I'd swear they even have a special breed of dogs meant for consumption.

And the amount of anime produced will also dwindle?

If that's the case, we Maldivians would be competing with them. Almost all our dishes (that aren't sweet) have fish.
