| I've loved this series since 2007, I've checked MAL's news almost everyday hoping to see "New Season of Darker than Black announced!", but no lucky D:! Does anyone think there will be a new season? I know season 2 didn't generate much revenue, but I hope the long wait will build up more want for the series. |

| S1 was nothing special but S2 was a disaster. Personally, I'd like to see the sci-fi absurdities rewritten. Good entertainment but I doubt it would make the same impression today. I doubt we'll see another one. |

| It's been 6 years since the last Darker than Black we had (Gaiden OVAs) and I don't think we'll get any more... I mean, I WANT more of it, Hei is amazing, let alone the other characters like Yin, Mao, Kirihara and even Suou that I fear some people hate, but I quite like her, I became fond to her. The season 2 left even more questions than season one, and we really need answers. We need a prequel to explain everything about the GATES, the fake sky, the contractors, dolls, Heaven's War, etc. And then, a sequel to the second season that explains everything that season 2 didn't answer. |

| Despite S2 being a horrid trainwreck, it actually sold twice the number of the prequel. A sequel may be possible after all, but I don't expect much from it. |

| Since Code Geass is getting a new season after 8 years I still have some hope for a 3rd season |
| It's always disappointing when you pick up an incomplete series with almost no hope for a continuation. Such a shame because there is so much interesting content that could've been explored. The end of S2 definitely teased a sequel (I want to know what Misaki and the new syndicate are up to, as well as how her relationship with Hei/Li will unfold). They could also do a prequel where the gates/Heaven's War/ Pai can be explored (Plus more Amber which is always a good thing). It's been 6 years since any DTB content was released, I just hope that the animation company sees value in restarting the franchise but it seems unlikely.. |
