I like your idea of the plot but how would I present the plot in a way that it was informative but not so full of spoilers that people wouldn't bother to watch Ergo Proxy?
Brief (because I am long-winded ;) ):
As far as Ergo Proxy goes
what first drew me to it was it's unique art style. Manglobe has a way of producing things with color schemes, textures, and angles that I find really magnetic. It is a visually impressive anime.
With the story - the contrast from where you start, in a seemingly self contained utopian society; to the end where, depending on your train of thought while watching, you are left with more questions than answers. I think is just beautiful because the end wasn't fully satisfying and I like that. Huge topics are integrated seamlessly into the plot but at the same time things are introduced and left for the viewer to discern.
From a lost identity, a forgotten life, unrequited feelings, religion, sickness, and death. Even though this anime carries a heavy weight with it, it also has a softness and a feeling of humanity when you see the characters journey and how they become closer together as time goes on. It has a subtle ebb and flow with how negative aspects and positive aspects of the characters lives mesh.
The thing is that if I were to review this anime I wouldn't know where to start. I could probably do an analysis of each dome because gosh are those domes rich in culture/story.
I thought Ergo Proxy was intricate anime with an odd, but strangely addicting, way of taking the viewer through the story. A story that you can read REALLY deep into.
If you were doing an Ergo Proxy review what would be your main focus?
Artie and Christopher were tragic characters aswell but Blundetto was more funnier than Ralphie, hilarious cousin of Tony S.
While in The Sopranos it was Tony, Paulie, Ritchie, Tony Blundetto, Johnny Sack, Ralphie,Bobby Jr, Corrado Jr, Furio, Ritchie Aprile, Christopher, Carmela and Dr Melfi.
