| I was just wondering how many people think that they could kill someone either intentionally or unintentionally and still go on with your daily lives as if nothing happened. Just say you were driving one night and it was all dark and you accidentally hit a drunk who was staggering across the road and he ended up dying as a result. If there was nobody around would you call the police expecting to get a manslaughter charge and fess up to the incident or would you just drive away and convince yourself that it's all okay because it was an accident? This situation is kinda the same to the movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer, if anyone has seen it, but I think it depends on individuals personalities whether or not they could live with themselves if this happened and actually consider whether it'd be ok just to drive away without calling the police and suffering the consequences in the first place. Discuss! Or in general, you could just discuss anything associated with this topic. |

| Of course I could. What other options are there? I'd of course report the manslaughter, but more our of self-interest than anything else. I'd probably get caught sooner or later anyway, and I'd save myself from a long sentence and a fair bit of anxiety. Shit happens. I'm not going to be sorry and ruin my own life because something happened that I couldn't control. |

| I would never hit and run, the anxiety of getting caught would linger with me for a long while. But as long as I got through all the legal processes I can't see myself being haunted by something like that. Far as I'm concerned dying isn't a bad thing for the individual, and those left behind are perfect strangers. |

| Yes, I'd be able to live with myself. But first, I'd check if the laws say anything about him being 1. Drunk. 2. Staggering in the middle of a road while drunk in the middle of the night. 3. Staggering in a middle of a road where there's no crosswalk. That would take me about 3 minutes or so. Then I'll see if I should call the police or not. If I'd be in trouble, I'll just either get the fuck out and move out of Italy (I am able to) or just call the police anyway and get a good lawyer. |

| TBH I'm willing to bet money on the fact that I could. Guess it depends on whether I meant to or not. If it was an accident then it'd probably be a lot harder to live with myself unless I really couldn't have avoided it. But if I meant to, then sure. If I want/need the bitch dead that much (example, me getting robbed), chances are he deserves to be dead anyway. No skin off my back. |
