| So his plan is to create thunder clouds to destroy the whole island. Damn luffy comes up with the best ideas some times during battle. That was awesome, bouncing his arms off of the Ark so Enel couldn't predict his punches. |

| I think overall that Luffy is a genius when it comes to combat. The daze move really reminded me of Drunken Fighting and one of the other moves, as mentioned, may have been a reference to DBZ. Anyway, the coolest thing he did was the ricochet. I didn't even consider that, to be honest. |

| Omg I totally loced this episode, Luffy was awesome! He would probably be the only one to pull off the daze move so perfectly xD And lol, poor Nami, expecting a great move and then seeing gomu gomu no octopus :P But Luffy can be awesome and a genius when it's needed, he's just a bit naïve and childish while not being in combat? xD |

| i watch one piece for more than the fight scenes but this one i REALLY ENJOYED, like it might be one of my favorite fights. it's because luffy managed to kick ass with really intelligent ideas while still being his hilarious self (i LOLed at the giant octopus head and daze techniques). it's so enjoyable watching him. <3 |

| Creative of Enel to adopt a new legit strategy instead of just sitting there and shitting his pants. I'm wondering what's stopping him from electric warping away from Luffy. He's been doing it all arc. Would make sense if he could easily do it in battle as well. Sure he'd leave his gold staff behind, but still. Beats just standing there. |

| What I'm really getting from this arc is what it means to be god, as well of the consequences of either completely rebelling against, or conceding to such a figure. Anyways, this fight easily trumps the Luffy vs Crocodile one based purely on Eneru's facial expressions. He's so arrogant, but as soon as the going gets tough all he wants is escape...I totally would not put it past him to beg for his life. Don't think the fight's over just yet though! Luffy has also gone up in my cool books- he was pretty badass when he threw Nami his hat and basically told her to chill the hell out. I also find it incredibly sweet that she's the only person he's willingly given his hat to. Since that's pretty symbolic of his dream to be Pirate King, I'm wondering if it hints towards Nami being Pirate Queen?? |

| At first I thought to myself "Luffy isn't normally this smart". But then I realized I was wrong. Luffy isn't a deep thinker, but no one in the universe thinks as honestly and as straight forward as Luffy does. That's what makes him so smart in these scramble situations. He thinks and comes to a conclusion instantly. Recall against Don Krieg when he punched his explosive weapon until it was broken. He does come up with tactics like the ricochet and they're great. Eneru himself is pretty intelligent! I chopped him up to "a dumb jerk who happens to be made of lightening", alike to what he called Luffy, but both have proven that's a false assertion. Eneru hadn't even seen rubber or had knowledge about it, yet he came to a conclusion that slashing, and piercing weapons were a counter, and that he could burn him when physical and lightening attacks didn't work. That's some equally smart and quick thinking! I had extrapolated from the fact Eneru doesn't have wings, and from the fact that he knew about the 'gold city' that he actually came from blue sea. Now that he explicitly showed he had no clue what rubber was, I think that prediction has been proven wrong. I was expecting the counter to mantra to be thinking and believing that you'll do one thing, until at the very last second you change you mind, far too late for them to react. However, all this talk about mantra being the ability to listen to people's hearts, made me think that would overwrite the intention the other person has since it's not their minds he's listening to, but their bodies. That was my interpretation at least but now I'm more confused. Currently we know a few weaknesses to mantra: 1. If the mantra user doesn't believe in the mantra prediction and gives it too little focus on being a threat. Ohm didn't think Zoro had a chance of reacting perfectly and taking him out, and Eneru just the last episode hadn't expected Luffy to be able to tank his lightening attacks since the prediction let him know they'd hit, but he had no way of knowing they wouldn't hurt. 2. If the mantra user is too weak willed, or hurt to focus their mind on using the mantra. Satori didn't think Luffy would suicide attack with the dragon and because of that they broke their mantra and the aftermath was them losing the upper hand. We saw Gedatsu break his mantra in a similar way. 3. If the opponent of the mantra user doesn't have intention in their actions and what they do is an after effect of their goal. Eneru was able to know Luffy would punch the ship but he couldn't predict the way it would ricochet and beat him up. The captain of the White Berets has grown on me so much. His crying and passionate conversation to the grandpa to not accept death was moving. He and his crew of comic relief security have gotten more depth. The Skypiean's are going to help the Shandians! In a time of great despair people will come together I suppose. You could see Aisa's Shandian spirit when she told horsey-bird to not interfere with Luffy, as he's a warrior of the blue sea and you never interfere with a warriors battle. <3 That was cute. |
| I need to watch that part again which he switched his brain,I didn't fully get that part but it managed to work tho,so he couldn't read his mind when he basically switched his mind off,cuz you have to remember that Enel's main attack is lightning thing and that didn't work and but he still could of read what Luffy was about planning what to do and that gave him the advantage of certain situations but now he can't because he don't know what Luffy's gonna do. I feel like it's gonna end soon yo this arc. |

| Despite his opponent's immunity towards his shock attacks putting him at a rather big disadvantage, Eneru was able to put up more than a good fight against Luffy thanks to his Mantra. Luffy on the other hand showed that he's a genius when it comes to combat by utilizing his powers in a way that prevents Eneru from predicting his attacks in time! His time of judgment is near. |
