Talk about productive week. Just look at all those novels and all that Titan related stuff charting.

And I have to second the Arslan Senki comment. Saw the first volume on Amazon today and wondered how well it sold. Glad it's 100,000+ copies.

Yay the sales for Haikyuu!! volumes are increasing thanks to the anime, heard a lot of positive feedback regarding the first 2 episodes (even my non-anime fan friends liking it too)

Would like to buy Yowamushi Pedal TV Anime Official Fanbook, I hope it will be available at kinokuniya >_<

Interesting week from an animation pov.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei:

Sold 40K of Vol 1-4, so we can see how much an animation can move the dial on unit sales.

Plus two manga books tied into the release of the animation numbering around 180K

Now if we only knew if this was great or merely average :-)

It's nice to see NGNL profiting a lot from its anime adaptation.

However, the cumulative sales for these volumes are weird: volume 3 was already at 14k copies sold on its release week, volume 2 was also at 14k copies sold on its second week and volume 1 was at 9k copies sold on its second week so with the amount of copies sold this week the cumulative sales of these volumes shouldn't be this low.

Volume 5 was on 24k sales from week 2. Pretty sure this week's data is just completely wrong for that series.
Weekly light novel releases (from 20/10/2014)
Monthly light novel sales ranks (from Jan 2015)
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club).

Looks like No Game No Life got a boost in sales already pretty good considering only just 2 episodes aired already.

Black Bullet also seems to be benefiting a bit as well hope it keeps up

Everything ranking at all in Manga or LNs is doing great considering the insane thresholds, especially for manga ;) We don't know if it exceeded the expectations though.

Dat Shingeki! And some folks say this thing is dead. Think again.

But seriously though, it seems that Kodansha intended to have a week dedicated to Shingeki dominating the charts. I think this is not a coincidence, they intentionally placed each series' debuts in a specific order so that the tankobon volumes could chart like this.

Oh, and dat Arslan Senki. Yoshiki Tanaka +Hiromu Arakawa = Future big hit series.

Overall, happy that Kodansha dominated this week. To Love Ru and Shokugeki selling well too,
Hoorah!

Light novel side.... Looks like the anime adaptations have done their jobs well. I'm satisfied. It'd be a nice bonus if those series sell well discs wise too!

+ 1

And I think this is a very productive week for LNs, you don't normally see that many volumes charting.

Manga side, it's a productive week too thanks to Shingeki and its spinoffs and Arslan Senki.

I honestly didn't find Arslan Senki great as some people here and on Batoto enthusiastically consider it to be. A pretty decent read but nothing yet to wow me. But eh~ Perhaps i'm just applying Kingdom or Ryuuroden standard for epic historical battle manga that Arslan Senki looks pale in comparison.

Don't hate, atleast it's better art than the aku no hana anime ;)
I usually speed read this sorta stuff so it doesn't damage my brain and soul.

Hmm. As much as i loved Chihayafuru and wanted to see more sequels made, for now just there isn't enough material yet. Combined two seasons managed to adapt 93 chapters so if they're going to make another 2-cours season, they need at least 45 chapters. If i remember correctly, there's 27 chapters out (latest 2 are raw) so actually 1 year should provide enough material in which case summer 2015 is the point at which enough material would have accumulated.

Nonetheless I doubt they'll make a season until enough important events have taken place. The Meijin/Queen qualifiers, further development amongst our characters, maybe another batch of freshmen and the Tokyo Regionals would certainly make for an interesting 24 episodes (without stuffing in too much recap like 2nd season)

Wow, every entry in the top 10 pleases me this week for the manga part. I have a feeling Kagerou Day's sales might increase in the next few weeks though on the LN section.

GO GO GO HAIKYUU!!!!!!

Also, Yowamushi Pedal is doing great!

The sales data:
Volume 31: 76,804(10 days)
Volume 32: 96,824(12 days)
Volume 33: 111,432(6 days)

The sales just keep increasing for it. Volume 33 has managed to do much more in 6 days than what volume 31 did in 10 days. And this is only the first week!

Glad to see Chihayafuru!
And Shingeki no Kyojin dominated the mangas this week.

SAO dominating the charts, again.
Durarara!! SH

Kagerou Days is still there. Those sales! I hope the sales increase and the series gets a large enough anime boost like SnK.

Is Haikyuu good? Like, I've been seeing that stuff everywhere in tumblr. Guess I'll watch it then.

Shingeki no Kyojin everywhere! Maybe I'll start reading some of the other spinoffs.

Dat Mahouka! Nice to see it getting an anime boost. Both the Light Novels and manga adaptations are selling well. I love the series. SAO also selling very well as usual.

Haikyuu getting a pretty good anime boost. Reminds me of how Kuroko no Basket's sales went up significantly after its anime aired.

To Love Ru Darkness <3 nice to see it selling well.

Shokugeki no Soma! The sales just keep getting better.

Trinity Seven is up there, nice.

Soul Catcher(S) :/ I really hope Weekly Shonen Jump doesn't cancel this.
