| There was no way I could prepare for this, even knowing full well Break would not survive. It still feels so sudden. And to twist the knife, he just had to say the saddest words anyone could possibly say near death: "I don't want to die." UGH. My heart will be sad for days. |

After all the suffering and sacrifice he beared, this is what he gets in return?! This was a huge blow to me. It's gonna take a long time for me to get over Break's death. | The father treatment though. For a character that was made out to be really ominous throughout all the series, he really didn't amount for much in the story at all. Plus he went out like a scrub. First real disappointing character. Break dying was a given since the beginning, but it was still sad nonetheless. |

| I'm surprised that Break dies this late in the story. I totally thought that he would be one of those main characters that gets killed off earlier in the story. Nevertheless, Break's death was pretty sad, and he was my favorite character from the series too. Seeing how he doesn't want to die really made it both sad and sweet. Even though its subtle (at least in comparison to other characters from this series), its nice to see how Break changed as a character. I'll say this, this series hasn't necessarily made me cry yet, but each powerful moment does get me emotionally affected in someway. Elliot's death had me shocked because I wasn't expecting it, Oscar's death made me feel bad for him, and Break's death had me smiling in a bittersweet way. Anyways, two more volumes left! 5/5 |

| Christ. I haven't cried this much since reading Banana Fish. I love Break so much and even if I knew it was coming it was still fucking heartbreaking. This was so emotional. I thought he was gonna be all alone in the end but then Sharon and Reim came and this was just the breaking point. I'm glad he was able to hug his closest ones in the end and convey to them his true feelings. I'm not gonna lie, seeing him admitting that he doesn't want to die had me bawling. I remember how indifferent he was towards life before, and seeing how he's changed now, fighting for his life after finding happiness and warmth near others. Truly gives you a bittersweet feeling. I just wanted him to be happy why must you do this T_T |
| This chapter broke my heart like nothing has done before. I was crying so hard I couldn't even read anything from it all being so blurry. Break is one of my most favorite characters ever and even though we all knew he was going to die, there were death flags all over, it's still too much for me. Especially when he said that he didn't want to die and the way he died in the arms of Sharon and Reim, the two people he cared about most. His character was so amazingly developed. My heart hurts too much now, I have no idea what to do anymore... |

| I saw his death coming but this is still devastating. The moment when he said that he don't want to die and started crying really broke my heart. Break is by far my favorite character in this series and I'm glad that he was able to spend his remaining time with Sharon and Liam. I know there's a little chance of this happening but I'm still hoping that he would survive somehow ╥_╥ |
