That’s awesome to hear! Did you have cake or anything?

Mhm mhm I’ve heard. :3 Hey as long as you still get the symptoms but they aren’t completely fatal I’m glad. That is an extremely harrowing experience though ;-; I’m really sorry that happened to you. T_T Don’t you worry at all about typing so much morbid stuff, I am the edgelord here, right? Hehe.

Ik how you feel. >.> I was on a really good streak of watching relaxing stupid stuff, then you just get bored and such. Now I’m rewatching one of my favorite cartoons as a kid - Batman Beyond! It aged very well surprisingly. o-o

Shreya! Ik you're going through rough times rn, but even so I wish you a very happy birthday where you can try and find a way to enjoy yourself! >.< >:D

My god, that sounds horrifying, Shreya. ;-; How are vaccines being distributed there? They’re somewhat readily available for all age groups and professions over here, but I’m not sure how it’s working out with other countries and nations. Just you stay and bed and rest and eat some good, nutritious food to recover. I hope you feel well enough to do something, anything for your birthday at all. >.<

Honestly, yes, yes it is lol, but it has its few bad episodes. It drew me in immediately with one of the first lines of the show of the main character giving an interview talking about his life and why he loves fiction, specifically fiction aimed at family, he says something along the lines of: “Life is a never-ending series of circumstances. We love. We lose. And every day feels like a kick in the balls. It’s comforting to know for thirty minutes every week, we’ll get invested into a family that goes through a struggle, yes, but that everyone is going to come out okay…. I wish life were like that, ya know?” That immediately got me hooked on it, and even if somewhat masochistic, I’ve been binging it forever. I think it’s one of the best takes of depression I’ve ever seen.

Now, if you’re looking for something light-hearted, well… not exactly light-hearted, but simple - you ever consider watching some horror movies? They’re surprisingly bingable hahaha.

Oh my, Shreya. T_T I wont ask what he’s done, I think I have decent ideas from being on both ends of both spectrums of doing something bad, and being the one on the end of the receiving the bad thing from the other person from being in many relationships, so I wont pry - I just hope this change will be for the better for you, and if you ever want to get something off your chest, well, as proven before despite being a pretentious cynic, I have a heart lol. I hope you take some steps to feeling better. It seems like you have a good friend there too. You really can’t outrun the Shiva, can ya. Things always seem to end, but new things come and take their place. Give yourself some time, and I bet you’ll feel even better than before.

Eh it’s all you can do lol.

Same here, right? But for me actually; I’ve been watching… possibly my new favorite adult cartoon ever; Bojack Horseman. It’s an amazing show full of wit, nihilistic humor, depressing, stoicism, and is hilarious - it’s a show about a rundown hollywood star searching for meaning in life and making mistake after mistake just trying to latch onto any form of purpose. Some lines hit really deep. If you got the take, I think you’d love it, you can binge it on netflix haha.

I know how you feel Shreya; believe it or not my first GF ever messaged me about the most completely random stuff and I'm just like: "Ah, man, can't you cut me some slack - I have almost finally got over you" lmao. It's always funny when fades of the past come out to dance. It's possible he wont leave you for quite a long time, speaking of that ex GF of mine again, 7 years later and I'm still thinking about her sometimes, but, just like my tinnitus, while we may never be able to truly silence the lambs of our youth, we can always cope and move forward with em. Point is; give it time babe haha.

Honestly I'm pretty fine - all I wanted in my life was to talk to them again, and I got my wish - there's nothing to complain about and I'm sticking to my word about that promise I made to myself that if she ever comes back into my life that's all I need. So sure, it's a little downing, but hey, things work out in the end. xD Eventually. >:3

Haha I see, don't worry about it Shreya! I just thought it'd be a little easier for you but looks like my assumption was wrong. xD

Not watching much anime still huh? What have been your pasttimes?
Royal-Guard-Reli Mar 7, 9:47 AM
Yep a lot better! Back to my old, infuriating, pretentious self lmao.

I see. No offense to him, but it seems like you are the most mature one in the relationship. I say you are making the right choice, are taking your time and letting things heal. In the end you learned quite a valuable life lesson.

It sounds rather uneventful lol, but I suppose that is decorum during these beleaguered times. As for me, I’ve been studying and trying to get back into exercise; to open up as well; hmm, something recently happened that somewhat shook me. It turns out the girl I fell in love with, uh, is a lesbian…. So…., yeah, that kinda rocked my world lmao, and I lost motivation for a bit. Otherwise I’m just playing video games and watching a lot of movies lately.

Now, this may seem a little out of place, but uh, would you consider adding me on a Discord if you have one? I think the change of pace could, no pride intended, spring some new life into you a bit (not trying to imply my presence makes people happy lol). Ya know, change up the dynamic a bit. No pressure though, just consider it. <3
Royal-Guard-Reli Feb 25, 5:54 AM
Hey Shreya! I wanted to tell you that I've finally returned after a nasty battle with a horrid stomach virus. I'll spare you with the more gruesome details haha, but let's just say it wasn't fun at all and for apparently lengthy periods of time I didn't digest anything. So let's get back to it.

I think I get a decent picture of what went on. Would you say that due to Covid and such a trying time it put more stress on the relationship?
It really does feel like there's a void in your life, huh? I've been through it too, especially after being with someone for years. Time does indeed heal all wounds, but speaking personally, it took me two years to completely got over her, so it'll take a decent deal of time indeed. But I'd like to point out; trust me; he is FAR from over you, Shreya. You're an amazing girl and you all grew so much together, he's trying to move on too but it's going to take time as well.
Are you two still in contact at all?

No problem, Shreya haha. Despite how "macho" I am, I think everyone needs a hug from time to time. Take your time, let emotions take you for a bit, they're natural. Eat some junk food too haha. It's okay with taking a breather, just remember at the end to get back up! >:3
So how have you been doing over the period of my illness? What's been going on?
Royal-Guard-Reli Feb 12, 4:18 PM
I see. It seems life really has thrown you around to the ringer, huh, Shreya? I know what you mean in terms of getting overwhelmed easily. Personally, I’ve had a very similar experience. Basically, I joined a discord server for the first time in years… and it drained me very quickly. I’m talking in the course of two weeks I couldn’t sleep, felt like vomiting, etc. I had to accept that it just wasn’t for me and that while I am an extrovert, am also still a bit of a loner too. After I cut myself off from that; I finally relaxed for the first time in, I kid you not, 4+ years. I laid in bed for hours rewatching Soul Eater, and caught entirely up to a seasonal - I haven’t watched a seasonal in 5 years lmao. I rediscovered a lot of passions too! My point is, I relate to what you’re saying a lot. So I’m glad you took that time away.
What I am truly sorry to hear though is the falling out of your relationship, and around Valentine’s day no-less. I’m so, so sorry it didn’t work out, and I hope you’re grieving and taking this all in the best you can. ;-; If I may ask, what caused the split? From what little I know you two seemed fairly strong. How is the situation over there, coronavirus wise? T_T
Of course Shreya haha, during our brief time talking, you were one of the few people who accepted all aspects of me I showed you, and responded well to absolutely every part of it. You made an effort to understand me instead of judge me with preconceptions, which is something I always appreciated. You have ever cemented yourself in the foyer of my memory palace. I’m glad to hear you’re at least surviving. *hugs* I hope to see you around more too, though understand if that is not the case. ;-;
Royal-Guard-Reli Feb 10, 4:21 AM
*tackles and hugs* SHREYA! You think I WOULDN'T remember you!??!? Oh you silly wittle gal. *nuzzles* Ofc I remember you. I was greatly worried about you too. Don't worry about me, let's talk about you for a second; why did you need a break? School overwhelm ya or MAL just got tiring? Are you doing okay? Please tell me you are! >.<

I know you're going through quite a bit rn, but I just got reminded of you by writing a paper about esotericism in Legend of Zelda, and turns out it has much to do with Hinduism - and that reminded me we haven't chat in quite a while. I hope you're doing okay and are enjoying October, boy, I've love to hear about your culture and how it treats this time of the year. I hope you're doing good, Shreya! Hope to hear from you again when you're able! <3

How are you, Mayo?
It been a while since my last reply to you, but it's also been a while since you last signed in. I hope you're doing fine, whatever you happen to be doing and wherever you happen to be right now.

Thanks for these recommendations! I have some of the anime you mentioned in my plan to watch list so I'll let you know if I like them when I get to watch some of them

Did you find a new alternative for kissmanga?

I used Kissanime almost all the time when I want to watch an anime. I remembered using it even when I was in high school so I was surprised that when I get to watch anime again last February of this year that it is still running. Then I was shocked when I went to watch rent a girlfriend that the site has been taken down. I was a little bit sad because it is somewhat sentimental to me as it is the site that I watched anime mostly and got me through the quarantine haha. Even though I'm already working, I'm still frugal about that stuff, I've always wanted to watch in Crunchyroll and Netflix but I feel that's a waste of money so I just go with the site that is free and fast and reliable.

By the way, do you watch anime subbed or dubbed?
H31NST31N Aug 23, 2020 5:18 AM
I've heard of that, yes. It's pretty tragic.
I'm not that curious, really... From the open ending I can piece together enough for myself to reach a conclusion, so I don't feel like I need much more, especially if all it will do is add even more depression to the mix XD

Yeah, hopefully after those exams you'll have a little break to relax.
Royal-Guard-Reli Aug 22, 2020 1:24 PM
Awe, Shreya, besides how happy I am to see a message from you I'm so proud you're tackling and felling those dragon-of-exams with competent confidence! :3 Jeez, you guys are scaring me for school....
And eh, I'm doing alright now lol in a better space.

As for Gatorland; that's not even the half of it. You can wrestle a young alligator if you want with its maw taped shut and its clawed dulled to nothing, you can also ZIPLINE OVER THE FUCKING GATORS over half the goddamn park, there are ziplines that go for 60 seconds, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or even 8 minutes. 8 minutes of looking below at fucking 20 foot dinosaurs that are just hoping there is some technical error to eat your tight ass. xD But I must admit despite the danger it is a fun place.
As for that story; man I'm really sad to hear that. :/ Things have scarred me like that as well, I actually have this complex of HATING seeing insects with multiple reflections in their thousands of tiny little eyes because I always got nightmares about them due to a certain spongebob episode. For instance, I'm playing Fallout 4 right now and a common enemy is a: "Bloatly", it's a fly the size of a small dog and it's disgusting to look at - I choose to kill them when I must encounter them with a flamethrower so the flames can dull and blur their abhorrent faces.

Warning: ugly looking.

As for what I'm watching or reading; I've suddenly and for some reason watching A LOT more anime right now, I just got done with the: "Is this a zombie" franchise, am working on an anime called: "Chrono Crusade", and in general am feeling like watching very acclaimed, or rather, highly talked about anime instead of just generic fodder; like tackling some series that people have been begging me to watch for years; this feeling only happens a few times a year and is very rare, so I get the most out of it while it exist in the moment - plus I love getting my thoughts out in the tags.

As for what I'm reading; you can say the same in terms of my literature; I'm finally reading Dune, a highly acclaimed science fiction novel that is a source of inspiration for my favorite fantasy novel series I've talked about before (The Horus Heresy) and I'm enjoying it so far, though admit that it's obviously a long set up considering it's a massive fantasy series, so I got through 100 pages in one day and took a break. And for what I'm watching; Agh Lucifer season 5 just dropped like yesterday and, honestly, this season is pointing out my biggest flaw with the show; at the very core of Lucifer, the tv show - is arguably the best representation of the Devil in modern fiction next to Paradise Lost - he's an extremely complex character full of projection, insecurity, vastly misunderstood, and shows how truly sympathetic his character always has been in our mythology; hell he's literally called: "The Root of all Evil" for a reason - he's everything we don't like, including what we don't like to admit - flaws, tragedy, etc. Lucifer is the story about a man seeking redemption and growing up, taking a serious glance at what they believe and sorting out what needs to stay and what needs to go; what to open yourself up to; deciding what to believe and what to pass on. When this show is about these things, showing the nuances of the Root of All Evil's thinking; it's one of my favorite tv shows of all time - but when it's not doing this - it's basically a TV drama akin to Young and the Restless and while I have ALWAYS tolerated that, that's because the writing was so potent; but now the scale has tipped and it's clear even the actors are barely trying anymore; I really wish the show ended but we'll see how this season plays out.

Ugh, look at how I've ranted to you about something you have no interest in again; no wonder I scare you away for a few weeks before returning lmao. My apologies, Shreya haha.

That's what I've been doing. How about you?
H31NST31N Aug 22, 2020 6:57 AM
I'd rather not know at this point. That might change later on since I'm still thinking it over, but it would probably be best for me not to know, since it might just depress me more that the manga is also incomplete :(

At least you realized your inclination toward the more artistic side early enough XD Architecture makes use of enough science but with a much more concrete and creative focus, so it should be something fun for you.
Oh man, that sounds like some stressful stuff... Gotta get through that training arc so that you can be prepared for the entrance exams XD
