| A scan from the upcoming issue of WAaI! magazine reveals that Norio Tsukudani's 4-koma genderbending manga series Himegoto will be receiving an anime adaption. Synopsis Hime Arikawa is a high-school boy with a huge debt, and he is saved by the girls of his school's student council after being chased down by yakuza debt collectors. The student council agrees to pay off his debt if he'll join the student council and spend his high-school life cross-dressing. | I have no problem with crossdressing anime or genderbending, but that premise sounds awful. I already hate the student council for apparently forcing him to do it for no apparent reason at all. Why not more anime like Wandering Son or Genshiden Nidaime where the guy does it because he wants to? |

| The problem I have with this kind of series is that... the main character is not drawn to look like a guy cross dressing as a girl. The main character is drawn as a girl. That's it. They try to variate from the cute girls doing cute things but it's not going to be much different because of this fact. Unless they employ a male as the voice of the main character. That might change things. But if that's not the case he won't even be a guy anymore. This just bothers me to no end. If Arikawa maybe identified as a girl I wouldn't mind but he doesn't so??? Eh it's a pet peeve of mine. |
| Okay wow. This was definitely one of the last manga I would have expected to get an adaption but I'm definitely going to watch since I'm enjoying it and it's spinoffs. |
