Despite the fact that the "accident" seemed somewhat random, she didn't seem the type to just suddenly trip and fall while she just happened to be carrying a bunch of unsheathed swords. Not to say fluke accidents like that don't happen, but I'd be more betting that she wounded some male's fragile ego who thus arranged said "accident". Or perhaps I'm just reading into it too much and need to lay off the mystery novels. =/ |

Seems, like being a student in a dojo would give you more sense than that to carry a bunch of unsheathed swords. I don't understand how that could kill her. Great episode though, i love chib zoro, soooo cute! |

| I found her "accident" really weird too... i'm sure it's much more than that! anywayz, i liked the flashback! it was really sweet! and now those two that appeared seem to be some of his old buddies that we saw. It is becoming really lively in that ship, I like it! :P |

| Yeah, the idea that a woman can't be an effective swordsman just because she isn't as "strong" as a man annoys me. Since when was strength the sole factor in being a swordsman? It isn't particularly Oda that annoyed me, fact is that this was how people thought in the old days. And, since One Piece seems to (loosely) follow the 17th century or so it makes sense to incorporate ideas like that. Was a pretty good episode, though. |

| I don't see why the accident was bullshit, people have died falling down stairs before, it's really not that strange. And it's kind of humbling to see a great fighter brought to such an end. It's like seeing Achilles brought down by, of all things, an arrow to the ankle. It sort of makes you realize how fragile life is. On the other hand, One Piece doesn't exactly seem like the type of anime to ponder how fragile life is, so I'm also calling BS. |

| Yeah, I couldn't believe that death either. I hope not everyone in Luffy's crew has a sad backstory, though this one was good. Some random guy at the end of the episode. Feels like he was just thrown in there. I guess I'll see what's up with that. |

| Episode 19: Zoro's past, even as a child he was just badass and awesome but also really sad TwT Kuina the only one that have beaten Zoro 2.001 times without any defeat, she is incredibly strong :3 Eventhough the death of Kuina gave Zoro more determination to seeks his dream for both of them, I'm still skeptical about someone that powerful would die even with a fragile body, I still think it's possible that she could return on future episodes of One Piece but for now we must just accept the events that's been stated :3 Johnny with the sunglasses, whenever I heard his name in the past the first thing that came to mind was Johnny Bravo, if he was blond then that would be too convenient, although there is another One Piece character that fits that description better lol :3 |

| The episodes so far have been okay, not exactly great but that's to be expected with an anime spanning 700+ episodes- it's not gonna start out insanely good. This episode was prolly the most enjoyable thus far though and I shed a little tear there ;_; Zoro is definitely growing on me! |
