This is one of the gladest and sadest episodes I ever seen in my life. For once Hikaru found Sai. Not the real one but a thing that will live on and that points towards to future. Truly touchin where all the places he go he went bac to where he started. I cried....

Wow, what a great episode. The game with Isumi was so intense. Then when the fan came ... I was like, OMG O_O Especially with Hikaru turning around after that ... gosh, my HEART! T_T It was so touching, I felt all teary for a bit there T_T I'm so glad you've found your drive again, Hikaru! :3 Now you can see Sai whenever you want ... that's so, so, SO amazing, really ♥
Kuwabara is actually one of my favourite characters lol. He says pretty freaking awesome stuff sometimes ... AND he's a troll haha XD I LOVED what he said about needing two players ... obvious yes, but so much more :P
OK, I thought going to tell Akira was a bit overkill but XD I still don't like him OTL Lol especially in the preview ... he's just so ... rrrgghhh sometimes lol X_X Well at least Hikaru's playing again! Crush that guy! Plus I see the Go club too! I wonder if they're entering a tournament or ...?!

Thank goodness Hikaru realized his mistake.

An at times very silly but at other times surprisingly powerful episode.

Touching episode with a great ending! But this really seems that we won't see Sai coming back ;'( Well let's see what the last 5 episode will offer us!

"Did you know, it takes 2 people to play go?"

"Of course I did it's obvious!"

"Hmmmm, nah you don't get it."

Man, that was a great way to "find" Sai again T_T

I loved how Kuwabara said it take two people to play go. If you're a genius in GO, you'll always be on your own unless you find someone equally as good.

Finally, we're back. What a waste - 10 whole episodes full of nothing but sulking and fillers. Hopefully the last 5 episodes will be worth going through that crap.

Holy shit did it take him long to get his shit together..
The last few episodes were terrible. Hopefully the series manages to make up for it and close decently.

Hikaru is back, baby! And that declaration to Akira says it all.

I really hope by playing the game, he might meet Sai someday.

Isumi really is the MVP here. Thank god for him steering Hikaru back onto his destined path. ^^

it was just matter of time once hikaru playing to find that sai hasn't left at all but made himself inside hikaru's go., that was surely tearful-glad moment, and i'm sure that was isumi aimed for, too bad they didn't showed who wined.
that's not to say that hikaru wasn't pathetically idiot who haven't give it a little thought, a lot of people offended by his way.
ma ne, at least the last 5 episodes will be back on track, and more.

This episode was worth breaking through the previous 10...they were awful, really.

I love that Isumi fulfilled Sai's prophecy. People helped him in China and now he helped Hikaru. And now Hikaru understood that Sai was still with him.

I smiled at the dialogue about the need for two to go. Although for me, competition is more of a demotivation. Probably I should go to China too :)

What a special episode. Glad to see Hikaru break through. I was wondering if they'd be able to remotivate Hikaru in a way that felt right, and I believe they pulled it off. Honestly such a shame to only have 5 episodes left. But I'm looing forward to them!

I'm not a huge fan of all the people in this thread totally bashing the previous episodes as terrible, or even pointless. The struggle that we saw Hikaru go through in those episodes really made this episode an impactful and emotional release. I was frustrated to not know about Hikaru's psyche before, but slowly discovering it feels satisfying in hindsight. Realistically speaking, Episodes 61-63 were fine (I actually really liked them, exploring the temples and the game of speed Go were excellent imo), Episodes 64 and 66 are admittedly really poorly placed filler, but I don't really count them (I'll consider this a 73 episode series with 2 OVAs). That leaves 65, 67, 68, and 69 as the "terrible" episodes, and personally I thought the China arc was fine, and I enjoyed 68 and 69, getting to see the club and some other old characters again. I'll acknowledge that all together, 64-69 was pretty slow.

Crazily enough, in hindsight, I liked pretty much all of 61-69 in a vacuum. I will admit 64-69 were tough to watch at the time though based on the way Hikaru was acting and wanting to see a resolution. But honestly I think the main problem might be that we're so close to the end of the show. I would say to move the China arc and the OVAs elsewhere, but that might lead to too much sad Shindou in a row (maybe that's why they put the OVAs there?), so I'm not really sure if I would change anything. I'm interested in hearing other opinions about this.
