Wway too boring......sure wish Kurapika was the main character, when it shifts to Gon and the rest of the crew the show becomes boring.

Actually kurpika's character would become repetitive at a certain point. So i'm glad the focus is on mainly Gon and Killua because the shit they do later makes them badasses. Kurapika wouldn't even think about doing what Gon does later on...

This episode was calm and interesting to see the tricks of the trade with buying and selling. Although I'm really shocked that Gon sold off his hunter license, that seems very reckless.

He didn't sold it.

He asked for a loan, once he returns the money they'll give him back his licence.

Nice cooldown episode from last week! Enjoyed Zepile's voice actor in this adaptation and just the character as a whole. The preview for next week looks pretty intense, can't wait.

Zepile's analysis of Gon I found was spot on and is one of the many things that distinguishes him from other shonen protagonists. A lot of the times, they have some self righteous duty to carry out while Gon doesn't care about that and just wants to explore the huge world he lives in and all of its inahabitants

INB4 "This episode is pointless, slow etc" Whenever Togashi introduces something, there's always a reason and the things we learned this week, such as "side stepping" in particular, will play out in the next couple of episodes

Gon makes the funniest facial expressions X D

I liked the episode so I'm not complaining, but they didn't need to know about side stepping for that. They could have just applied what they learned in Trick Tower or just use common sense. Still I liked the episode

I swear this anime never had a boring episode (well, so far).. sure light-hearted ones like this exist but this is as fun as the other... but there are some that are really entertaining as hell... like the battle of Kurapika and Uvo..

Appraiser-san daisuki. <3

I'm amazed that he realized how dangerous Gon is - not his power but his personality. He doesn't care about right and wrong, and that can be very dangerous. He can't appraise it. Gon is far more terrifying in potential than Killua. LOVE that that is acknowledged.

Nice to get a breather from all dat holy revenge. Back to the cute little buggers!

Yes! Glad to know more people who support and like this. Gon is often overshadowed by Killua's coolness, but the kid is really terrifying when you give it some thought: he is determined, instinctual, amoral, and his speed of growth is really high. All Hisoka, Netero, Hanzo, and Zepile have recognized this. It makes you look forward to his growth both as character and as Nen user.

Even though this episode did nothing to progress the story, i actually really liked this part in the manga considering some moments were completely rearranged.

Gon and killua were kind introduced to a whole new world of underground marketing and learning about scamming.

I liked how the zepile anylized gon as being a simple person who does not act against right or wrong, but just someone that opens there mind to any given situation no matter what it is.

Not much to say, but the appraiser seems fairly likeable. Hopefully we'll see some more Phantom Troupe confrontations in the next episode.

Why the hell would Gon pawn his hunter license? I thought the license itself also gave a line of credit that rivaled some corporations or some shit like that?

I have a feeling this will come back to bite him in the ass and it really fucking irritates me.

Welp, Gon made a new friend and found his way to makes money quickly. With someone like him, he'll be able to get his Licence back in no time.

It looks like the two Phantom Troupe member aren't trying to hide at all. They aren't disguised or anything. That seem really fishy.

Anybody mind telling me why the F#%@ Gon threw away his hunter license like it was nothing?!?!? I'm sorry, i just CANNOT get over that! 20 episodes of Hunter x Hunter gone to waste in just a few seconds.

yea that was kinda stupid of him, but definitely in his personality. however i don't feel THAT way about HXH about it....Q_Q

This episode was so awesome. Killua is so hilarious around Gon, and Gon's innocent curiosity is refreshing for main shonen anime characters. Auctioning has never been anymore interesting than this and Zepile's another cool addition to the cast, like megane-nee-san was (wing). Leorio still feels useless. Was confused on one thing Why cant nen be used to actually see through the objects? Surely it enables like x-ray vision and they can see the contents of the containers? And did Gon really give away his hunter license, how can he still be a hunter?!

For some reason, I'm honestly way more interested in the whole Greed Island plot than this Phantom Troupe. It just seems way more intriguing at this point in time and like they are slowly continuing to build up so much suspense regarding what it truly is. Are we close to getting to that arc?

that gif....freaking too cute for words.

that is true. any of them would be pretty boring if it focused on them too long.

nothing REALLY to say about this, but it was so upbeat i loved it. that part about gon helped me understand him a lot, and i was pissed a bit he sold his license like that.

Hunter x Hunter became Hawker x Haggle, and that's not a great transformation. This might be the worst episode yet. On the surface it seems like we learned precisely nothing worth talking about. Luckily, this is the first legitimately bad episode I've seen since I started, so 47/48 isn't a bad mark by any stretch.

I think this version really shortened these parts about scamming.
This episode is pretty good at explaining these stuff again even though its explanation is shorter than in the 1999 ver.

Thanks to Zepile (again) Gon and Killua could earn good money!

This episode might be the polar opposite when it comes to tone and atmosphere compared to the last few episodes but it was a very welcome change of mood because I left the house feeling really cheerful because of how light-hearted and interesting this episode was. Pawning off his license like that for cash after all he'd been through shows how carefree the kid really is~

Zepile being an ex-counterfeiter buying back all the replicas he'd made once he became legit was an adorable and noble cause. I've learned so much about counterfeiting and antique appraisal techniques in this one episode that's pretty much a more entertaining version of Pawn Stars.

Sometimes, this Anime would branch off of its main topic (Hunters) and discuss other unexpectedly interesting things like video game raft and appraisement, it makes the world feel much larger by showing that people are alive, and not everything is tied to being a Hunter.

though to be good breakdown episode from the previous, it takes them too much time to gather the money, don't get me wrong, it's really interesting how they do that and zepil is nice change but I have the feeling they could do a better pace.
there's something strange in the phantom troupe members they had found, I guess I will find out next ep.
