| I feel like I may be the only person on the planet who didn't believe the Kotonoha/Makoto relationship. It was forced from the start, so I have issues as seeing them as boyfriend/girlfriend. So, besides Makoto acting like any other guy his age and thinking with his dick, I really can't hate him... although it IS his fault for forcing Kotonoha to change to suit his own needs. |

| Ok, we're at episode 5 and things are already as bad? Blah, I wanted some drama to appear soon, but I never saw Makoto changing the rail so early on. And Sekai gave up so easy... I'm not judging her, but I thought she would try harder. Blah, I can't see anything good happening from now on. |

| Other than the end it was quite a nice episode and especially for Makoto that the Katsura finally said that they where going out, though it's really stupid for him to have second thoughts for Sekai! Lets see how this turns out! |

| The way I saw it, he liked the moe girl, but the more he got to know her, he realized she has like no personality. He started to like Sekai and went with it. Do people really think you fall in love with on girl ever and if you ever stop liking her you are an asshole? He should be a man though and tell her it wasnt working out. |

I agree with this, I don't think he deserves to DIE for it but it's certainly pretty shitty of him to not break up with his girlfriend before getting with someone else. I can definitely understand why he might have changed his mind about who he wanted, but cheating never ends well! He might turn out to be a chainsaw-wielding murderer later or something but based on what I've seen so far this is how I feel :p |

| Okay, so I started watching this today and before I go to bed I want to formulate my impressions about (almost) half the series so far. I want to do that also for me to read it in the future to have a clue what I was thinking without having watched any more. By the way, Kasane_Ted, you seem to be following the series too, if you reach that point as well and see this post by any chance, I am intersted in your opinion of this so far. Well. First of all, I feel a lot different from most of the other people here. I don't really hate any character (yet?). As of now, this show to me is a very good dramatic love story. How come? To begin I want to adress Makoto. Nearly everybody here seems to hate him. I personally can't say I do. Yes, it is might seem terrible what he is doing. But why could you blame him? Just imagine the position. I mean, it isn't his INENTION to hurt Katsura, is it? It's just that he doesn't love her anymore, he loves Sekai (beautiful name by the way). All I can say is that I feel very very bad for Katsura (I always thing of the guy from Gintama when hearing that name). Funnily enough, I hated her until episode 2 and maybe even 3. I mean, she was the one who agreed to be in a relationship with Makoto, but it really felt like she didn't love him at all. Now of course it completely changed, you can see that she is in love with him but...he isn't anymore. Again, that's just a sag and cruel thing, but I can't say that I blame him. You cannot control these feeling. He doesn't love her anymore, why is this his fault? The only thing I don't like about him is of course, he is too forceful with "ecchi thing". It's normal for boys to want to do that, but rushing it like this isn't helping anything. Well I guess it's no problem with Sekai though. XD So I can sum up, I can't blame Makoto for anything (again, yet?), I hated Katsura but now I kind of like her and feel sory for her) and I really like Sekai. She is similar to Makoto, she can't control her feelings and she even tried to hold back because of sympathy to Katsura. I can't understand the hate towards the main character. Really. Well, next episode will probably be bad considering the title is "A revealed relationship"...can't wait to see how that turns out and overall, how bad it will get in the end. Right now, I think it's incredibly intersting and I like this kind of dramatic love story. 8.5/10 right now, surprised of how different I think about the series as of now Site note, why was this episode called "ripple/hamon"?? I only know that term from Jojo's bizarre adventure and don't get the connection. |

Lemme go on a tangent before I start. This episode was too hard to watch. Not in a way where I was repulsed but because people kept walking in right when it started >.<! There was no OP or casual intro; it just went like this: *click play*, "SUPRISE panty shot!", parent walks in, F*** ... XD. This happened a second time with my lil sister... My timing is impeccable -_- But now for the show... I'm on the same page as everyone. I hate Mokoto. It's perfectly reasonable. He cheated on a sweet, insecure girl. I was on the edge of dropping my finger on the 'drop' button. But idk, this series has certainly been surprising! From the start, Makoto and Katsura quickly got into a relationship. I was expecting that to be near the end. So I knew that this wasn't going to be a normal series. But what I don't like is that Makoto wants to quit when he achieved the epitome of a good relationship! The montage of just him, her, and the younger sister just playing in her house. Being comfortable and enjoying other's company in honest fun. In life, those are the moments you live for. But Nope! Not with Makoto! He just wants adult entertainment and he isn't being mature about it. Makoto is to blame for not thinking with his head. He earned her trust and made a relationship only to break both the moment she confirms them! I'm sorry Makoto, I'll give ya some slack. Everything always seems more simple in retrospect. But Sekai is also to blame for playing him like a fiddle. Sekai's motives were to make a love story out of Katsura and him. She did so while putting herself in Katsura's shoes. She doesn't play the game honestly. All I'm saying is that I'm on Team Katsura because her innocent self never meant to hurt anybody! Now we're halfway through the series. The rest seems it's going to be love triangle conflict. And it's hard to figure out which girl is the right choice at this point. Katsura's an intellect who likes goofing off (very subtle goofing off). Sekai is a trouble-maker who enjoys risqué/quirky situations. Makoto should really connect with their personalities, not chase after their bodies. In that respect, he's no different than his dude friend whose at least being silly about "chasing after babes" :) This comment is very "TL;DR"-worthy. If you actually read all this, I'm glad I could be of your entertainment ^-^. If you just scrolled past me, then sorry for wasting your monitor space :P |

| Itou is dating for sexual desire, he doesn't understand love and such, and he decides to cheat on another person as a result. Yes, this is all shameless of him, but youths in reality are no different from him. Mind the fanservice, School Days projects this well. |
| I like Makoto. Not lots, but he isn't that bad of a character so far. Kotonoha is much less of girlfriend-material for Makoto, period. Sekai is being stupid. |

| Alright like many here... the main characters are just infuriating to watch. I think everything needs to shift and make Setsuna the school president the main character. Seriously, she is awesome. Can the next 7 episodes just revolve around her? Would make the show a lot less painful. I don't necessarily hate any of the main characters although I disagree with Itou's priorities, and I understand his true feelings moved away from Katsura. My biggest issue is just Itou is just too sexually driven and Sekai basically fed him crumbs leading him away from Katsura. She is manipulative for sure. Back to Setsuna... I like how she had that inflation thing on hand haha. great. seriously can we at least get a spin off with her? |

| Ahhh, finally something interresting happening! You know, I could feel bad for that super dumbass of Makoto if he wasn't constantely trying to cheat on his girlfriend and if he didn't ended up cheating on his girlfriend. I mean, he was going out with a girl he was feeling unconfortable (and for that, I can understand him, at least for the episode 1 to 4). But he ended up cheating on her and Sekai let him do so. Now I feel bad for Kotohana, especially since she tried so hard to please him in that episode. The situation remind me a bit of White Album 2 for now, though, the story was way better and serious in White Album. In School Days, it feel like a shitty rom-com slowly turning in a cliche harem drama. |

Who the fuck is gonna defend Makoto or Sekai? Makoto is a cheater and Sekai is a man stealer. You don't cheat on your girlfriend and you don't involve yourself sexually or romantically with someone who has a girlfriend (or boyfriend). Sekai started with her ridiculous "practice" sessions or whatever, which were clearly her trying to get sum fug with Makoto without actually "cheating" even though it totally is still cheating anyway. You can't defend either of them and neither can you justify what either of them are doing. Anybody trying to do so is probably a cheater themselves. But that's the entire point of the series; it's a fucked up, dysfunctional romantic drama. In fact, it's like an American teen drama, and it just so happens those are my guilty pleasure. Kinda irritates me seeing people hate on Katsura as well just because she's really shy when she's clearly been the most innocent. It may surprise you folk to know that not every girl in real life is loud mouthed and manipulative like Sekai is (at least subconsciously, 'cause you can't say her interactions with Makoto from their first kiss to now weren't manipulative), and not every girl wants to give it up with a guy she'd just barely started dating. Some girls have self-respect, and Makoto was a douche for trying to get anything else out of her and make her feel bad for it when she clearly wanted to take things slowly like some girls in real life actually still want. I don't blame him - at least not until he turned into a cheating scumbag - but he was still a douche for it. Funny how some will complain Katsura isn't realistic (even though she is) while others complain the anime as a whole is too realistic and that's why it's boring. Go figure. |
