| No...I can say from my experience. I was always a Naruto fan. It's my first anime. I started as a kid, back then it was just fun to watch the actions and comedies. But I didn't understand the depth of the story. Then for two years I skipped watching due to being a lot busy. Once there was a time when time was being a lot harsh to me. It was a bit of depression...I started watching Naruto Shippuden that time...and suddenly realized that this anime is boosting me. A lot of people told me to stop watching...they said it's wasting my time...but I knew that I shouldn't stop...every word Naruto shouted seemed that they were also meant for me...and thanks to that I became encouraged and was able to achieve success. That time, I needed support...none in the mortal world gave that...but I finally got my boost from this anime... it's a lot more than an anime to me......and it was NOT A WASTE to watch it... definitely. |

| I often end up in a mini-depression/existential crisis when I realise how much I am watching anime or how much I play videogames. I start to wonder what it is that I am doing with my life and that doing all these things are pointless because it won't help me reach anything regarding my future. I always advert this existential crisis the same way though, by realising that time spent enjoying yourself is not time wasted. It is like an infinite loop for me that reoccurs every so often and it always ends in the aforementioned way. |

| It depends on the anime I'm watching. A slice of life anime with no plot is more useless than a deep psychological anime that may give you greater insight into something. Even the most useless anime should still have some usefulness to you if it makes you feel good in some way. Sometimes you just need to turn your brain off. Don't overdo it though. |
