Sorry this is so late. For manga I recommend Skip Beat!, which isn't idol based, but has quite a few idols in it. The manga is much better than the anime. As for shojou idol anime, AKB0048, Show by Rock!!, and Angel Beats are good ones. Funimation uploaded all episodes of Show by Rock!! on Youtube, so it's a bit easier to access if you don't have subscriptions to every anime streaming platform. You've probably seen Angel Beats before, and it's not technically an idol show, but the music is awesome! If you're interested in watching shounen idol anime STARMYU, Uta no Prince-sama, and Dance with Devils are all good. STARMYU and UtaPri are pretty similar in the fact that they both take place in music schools, and Dance with Devils is about singing devils and vampires. It didn't sound like it would be very good, but it was surprisingly well done. Also, I'm planning on finishing all of the anime I started in the past year and I'm looking for some shorter anime that I can watch after. Any recommendations?

Oh it's okay you replied late, I know that school really sucks(So does college, well not that much though). And now I am not a raging bull anymore(at least not for now ;) but to be honest, I am ONLY THIS sweet to those who are online. I am not that sweet in real life, I am more like someone who LOVES to crack bad jokes and laugh like an idiot. And if I am among those people which I don't know, I act like a loner. To tell the truth, I believe I have got like, 10 personalities. And don't be sorry, because I once had said the same thing to one of my online friends, since she's fair and becomes red when angry, so I thought it was fun to see that.
And music is really important for us, especially for me, because I guess I can't function without it. About genre, I like almost all genres, but I like J-pop and K-pop more. I go through various phases, at one phase, I started to listen to enka, now I am in this K-pop phase(I am literally fangirling here, I have become typical teenager :( , and now I think I am shifting a little to the 'Mozart phase'. I have all my songs on my phone, and that's what they mind, but now they don't since they themselves are tired after coming home from work.
I am also frustrated about my art too, and all the best to you too, guess it's gonna take a pretty loooonnnggg time. And what story are you writing about?? I would like to hear about it, I am always interested in hearing others plots.
And yeah do watch anime and manga in your holidays, I think holidays are the best things in the world, but they fly sooo fast, which is sad. School and any educational institution like it is the worst enemy of manga, I think we can almost make a tragic love story regarding our love for manga, and how just school pulls us apart.
Christmas plans I don't have any, but I guess I am gonna consume as much manga, anime and drama as I can in holidays. I am being addicted to drama recently, because I met this Japanese woman in my class, who was a friend of our Indian teacher, and she told me to watch drama since they are interesting. So I am watching them now, though I watch korean and chinese ones do. And what about you?? Any special plans???

srry for the late reply, i was busy with some school activities and stuffs, but now i'm finally free! lol it's good to hear that ur parents finally gave up, and i'd really like to see you raging like a bull, haha it might be really fun to watch you since your sweet (i'm so sorry) and yeah, i feel ya, music really is an important thing in our lives, btw what kind of genre do u most listen to? i like indie pop or anything if there's pop in it xD why not listen to music in ur phone or maybe buy an mp3 player? tht mght help...
i too work on a story but no art included, more like novel-like, but then again i lost interest in it and put it onhold for now T^T
and now i'm currently busy drawing some anime and trying my ass off here to improve my skills just like you, and i understand you, it is kind of frustrating when your no close to improvement, i only realize my drawings improvement after some months or years >.<
anyway, i think i need to watch more animes, lately i've been distancing myself frm anime or manga, it sometimes feel like i'm starting to ignore them so i have to watch as many as i can during these holidays.
So, how are your Christmas plans? if u have any cause i don't *laughs* are you excited?

well that's sad to hear, i was hoping you'd enjoy your holidays but don't worry things like this always happen, but im sure you'd be able to watch anime and read manga in one way or another, i also get grounded time to time because of this same reason as well, if i cannot watch anime or read manga i'd sometimes do my other hobbies like maybe drawing or writing some stories, you should draw some anime as well since you enjoy drawing, you have such potential so why not do something outdoor too? at least it helps us escape frm boredom, let's just wish that you'd be able to watch anime as soon as possible :)
we were rarely given holiday h/w (lucky us) *phew* even if the teachers did give us it's all about how we spent our holidays xD hope your h/w doesn't bother ur holiday too much. and it's good to hear that you'd on9 on mal time to time, i was a bit scared that you might not be able to on9 on mal as well. anyway, just try your best to enjoy your holiday. *FIGHTING!!!!*

im so sorry for the late reply, i hope u enjoy Diwali :) and yes, i'm fine. The exams great and we got the result today and i did pretty good than before so i'm completely satisfied with my grades right now :) I was watching anime and reading manga right after exam and i just finished a new anime, it's called "Himouto! Umaru-chan'' u should watch it too, it's pretty fun. I guess i was too busy watching anime i forgot to online on MAL, not to mention 3rd semester starts tomorrow hahah..time flies by so quick xD

I mostly watch a lot of reverse harems and shoujo anime, and I read mostly shoujo. If I hear good reviews on an anime or manga not in that genre I tend to give it a shot. I don't limit myself to certain genres, and I like to step out of my comfort zone sometimes. I also like most things that have idols. I watch quite a bit of gory and supernatural anime. If you ever want to talk about any anime/manga, I would love to chat or recommend some to you!
