| Dealbreakers within first episode: - Grimderp/ 3edgy5you (For example Trinity Seven) - Wimpy male protagonists (especially if they get walked on by arrogant female characters) (For example way too many anime) - Extremely soulless/ tasteless intellectual property/ assembly line production (for example Amagi Brilliant Park) Those are the only three things that can cause me to drop something as soon as episode 1. |

| Average guy suddenly gets 10 girls for no reason after 16 years of being unpopular. He never chooses any of them and lives in complete ignorance of romantic feelings. Additionally, he keeps complaining how he would like to have a girlfriend. The idea of harem which is more like a circle of female friends, who never get any proper romance. Cliche female characters made to satisfy the needs of various fanbases. Not every club has a loli, genki and a tsundere. Is it necessary to base the humour on such cliches? Overly kind MC who confuses everyone with his behaviour and makes you feel like a scumbag for not helping every single person in the world. Deus ex Machina situation every two episodes. I wish there were more anime series with female leading characters. |

| Whimpy male leads is a big turn-off, but then again, that was mentioned before. What wasn't mentioned before and what really makes me avoid anime that involves martial arts is irrealistic fighting. I mean, you can say that nothing is meant to be realistic in anime, but cliche characters are just the result of exaggeration of traits normal humans show sometimes, too. Parrying bullets while being on the hunt for the ultimate chi-infusing power-up of the legendary woo to be able to summon nuclear explosion's out of one's arse is just unacceptable. |
