| This got really messy really quickly. seriously, wtf is this pacing... most inconsistent pacing I've ever seen in an anime. I have not yet logically connected why, but this episode reminded a lot of Watership Down. The "sex scene" was stupid. Can't even tell if they did anything, and it was stupidly out of place. |

| All these people complaining about the sex scene made me groan. If one was to pay attention to the library scene, one would hear that the scientists inserted one trait into their genes from bonobos. They release stress by making sex, it even had flashbacks going on. |
| Being chased by the Queerats and finding one that does actually speak in their language. The scene where they were about to make love, Saki realised why they were doing it and stopped just in time. The Queen queerat almost eating squealer, thank goodness Saki managed to stop that from happening. |

| Lol, what was up with the minoshiro's voice in the flashback during the "sex" scene? They also didn't show the ninja monk guy from before. I wonder where he went because I don't think he died. I feel like Saki saving the queerats (is that what they're called?) back in episode 2 or 3 will have an impact later. |

Yet the animation showed him deflecting the blast, and by the time smoke came through the air, the shrapnels should have already pierced through him. The guy with MC is definitely not making it through the series. No future marriage in my prediction. Seriously, I thought the new vibrant colors animation compared the last episode was suppose to emulate Saki being in a dream. False. The smiles from the guy and the redhead, were disturbing. Like the movie "Fight Club's insert 0.1 second of porno into a child film", and in a blink of an eye....That was the feeling I got, can someone tell me if what I was seeing in the cage something more in the novel?? Pause on this anime, watching light-hearted One Piece. Coming back when I can handle adolescent sex. To enlighten others on the subject: In the novel during the scene, it states somewhere around, that sexual acts between adolescents of opposites genders were not tolerated, however same sex interactions was tolerated at that age. There's other stages but that I'm putting out since that rule is applied to the characters. Basically its sexual engineering of their culture. Systematically. *Others have said a lot more happened but what I saw in the novel was really not that much more, they fondled with each other in the show (shown subtly) and in book , however it really changed from the source when she stopped at his pants. Some touching of hard stuff, pausing in act, to what the minishiro said and then mole rat is staring. Tis all. Errr, saying there was graphic sex for that part is overkill. Not really that vivid to be called graphic sex, and more on her inner contemplation from the novel like the anime portrayed. I thought it was happening when I watched the episode, which actually happened in the novel. Diff was, his pants was still there, tied and zipped. Pretty much looked like that until they put that shot in. Oh yeah and his pants were flat, nothing seemed tight :D Watching up into the pants shot I was like: NAAAWW No frikin way, is she really giving him lololol. How unrefined >__< Also, to put it out there. The flashback with our redhead future deathbringer, when the false minishiro was giving its explanation, was very much more than a hug. Gotta love redheads, always fiery, and not to offend, exotic in many ways. A quick check on Ch.4 in the manga will support my opinion :P , and lots of this ( :P ).<--Yeah that. Yeah her possibly true nature is also not ambiguous at all. After their oh so intimate interaction lol, it's funny they bring up her dark foreshadowing then. The show's ambiguous nature was definitely not inherent in the manga, after seeing what of Reiko's fate in the manga. Cutting abruptly to rowing boats from a character's sudden disappearance is. IMO, contrary to what other comments have said about it being just different from our standards since its the future, its pretty much the same. The only difference I see is that the children had been purposefully engineered (maybe genetically and not just educationally?) to have sexual relations to ease tensions. The intent and subjugation of that matter is the only difference I see comparing it to U.S. society in general. THESE CHARACTERS ARE FRIKIN EXTRA EROTIC. Like when we were kids, except two or three times that. Forget about it when they're really into there teens lol jk, they probably have a system or guidelines for that. I thot this show was suppose to be Buddhism-centered. Stop resisting, yet you cannot escape through sex. If scientists today had that power relative to those in the anime (if they really are descended from the "Scientists" and not the slave empires), we would advance 5x quicker in research of course at the cost of great moral disputes. Stuff, like deviations from the source into subtleties, really gets me. -___- Gets me really reaally centered on it. The vibes from those two, shocked me, and then killed MY vibes wtf. Anyone else? Wish weird stuff like that wasn't there, but that's why I love anime and Japanese goodstuff. Hard to find except from Japan. |

People on here complaining about the characters looking older at times, anyone got screenshots cause I can't tell even after going over the episode again. Anyway, this episode reminded me of Watership down cause of the underground rodent type things (bakenezumi). |

| in this episode, it felt like there was a new male character. up until now, satoru was portrayed as a loudmouthed, bumbling idiot. now, apparently saki was pretty much down to bang him after the last couple of episodes made it seem like she didn't like him very much. and satoru actually seemed to not be a retard. i agree with some other people here, was there a timeskip? was there an insane amount of character progression off screen? this episode was weird as fuck. |

| And thus a new adventure be-the heck is up with this animation. Ep 5. Plot: Saki and co are separated from Rijin after the BD blew up but soon they are beset by the rat creatures and separate. Saki and Satoru are taken together but manage to escape with help from an articulate rat creature Squera(crunchyroll translation) from the Robber Fly colony. Apparently his group is at war with the ones after Saki and Satoru called the Earth Spider colony. Later there is an attack of poisonous/flammable gas which leads to an avalanche and explosions. Character: Saki continues her growth in realizing the bonobo thing and tries diplomacy with Squera and his Queen. Good thing about that God Spiel. Satoru's getting better. And now we have Squera. Suffice to say I've been spoiled on him but seeing him start out is interesting. The fact that he can speak is of great interest and his words about there being actual names for the colonies is eyebrow raising. Animation/sound: Da funkin waggle was up with this animation. I mean I guess it was for the ahem "paff paff" scenes but still was weird. And dear god that Queen was something I didn't need to see. 4/5. It gets better and the adventure kicks into higher gear. PS: I'm back son! |

| Dat titmonster lmao The monk died, Saki and Satoru were seperated from the others and had almost sex. The learned about the different rats tribes and that they are currently in war. Episode ended with a cliffhanger again. Art looked different, but it's not a big deal, the interesting story is easily making up for it. |

| Sooo... I knew that this Saki girl an awful choice for MC and here we are, she is still useless. I start thinking that author with his ridiculous idea or let's call it manipulative plot move - excuse that primates relax by sexual contact, so somehow scientists involved in such manipulation of people's consciousness. Let's just forget about how is this even possible, why only primates were as example for such natural and primitive relationships since people themselves not so different, it's not even important. More important is possible author's motive for such excuse, did he want a typical drama with love triangle (and even some light or not so light homosexual relations - Maria for example) or he just wanted to make his novel or manga more mature and popular by adding typical fan-service? Who knows really, but only one thing is real, when you start think about such things then that means that anime itself is nothing and MC was in one step from sex with forever-friend dude when she had a potential boyfriend already on horizon. |

So we have them almost having sex, the blowdogs literally blowing up, them seeing the queerat next and being asked to take out the other Feral Spider colony that attacked them ... who attack again and they are stuck in a cave or something? I don't really get the significance of the "slime" on the spear that Satoru has at the end there >_< Also did I totally miss what happened to the priest guy and why he couldn't help them??? I feel so lost here :( |

| -What was up with the animation in this episode? I mean the animation so far has been average to below-average, but this episode was particularly bad. The backgrounds looked like greenscreens, and the characters looked like they were standing in front of greenscreens. Some of the animations looked like bad 70s anime tier. It really sucks because this show is somewhat interesting so far. It doesn't deserve such low-quality animation. The only other A-1 Productions anime I've seen is Silver Spoon (Gin No Saji) and from what I remember, it was pretty consistently well-animated. Moving on... >Satoru: "There's some blood on your neck." >Saki: "Huh? Where?" >Saki: *Looks behind her* That was dumb, lol. >That sexytime scene. I was not expecting that at all, especially considering how close she seemed to Shun. -Saki looked like she was experiencing 700 different emotions when talking to that Rat Queen. -Actually that entire Rat Queen scene was really weird. I'm glad Saki saved Squealer though. -I wonder what the other guys are up to right about now. I bet Mamoru's crying like a baby. Interesting series so far. Too bad about that animation though. | For now I assume the monk is dead, but the true extend of what PK can do is still unknown, e.g the monk could've teleported, if that's what PK can do. Somehow Saki didn't quarrel with Satoru again and it's as if their relationship is just like Saki with Shun. So the queen has a choice to welcome the 'god'(human) or not. That's a wonderful logic righthere. |
