This is my favourite episode so far... Zoro was my number one character but now...lol...he is awsome. It really looked more painful than in the manga especially with his bloody eyes in the end... And the voice actors did very very well... I can't stop thinking of it...

Just catching up with the series now. But my god this was just an incredible episode. I mean Zoro really was ready to lay down his life for Luffy and the crew. There was no guarantee that he'd survive. Even though he had his dreams, he still did what he had to do. I don't even want to imagine what he endured before Sanji found him.

Zoro is without a doubt the definition of a bad ass. Just don't have the words to describe that last scene.

Lately Zoro has been moving up my favorite characters list, but this episode sent him up to the top, even past Luffy(the previous #1, now #2).

It's the episodes like these that keep me watching this show!

This episode was simply epic beyond belief. Zoro was already one of my favorite characters, but now i even like him that much more. I always knew he was going to turn out to be Luffy's right hand man. ODA is making this plainfully obvious at this point. I bet during the future of the show when luffy finnaly becomes a true captain of his crew. He will probably give zoro 2nd in command.

Zoro's Unwavering Determination is so amazing. its like i always said. Out of all the straw hat crew members, Zoro is the one that looks up to luffy and admires him the most and wants nothing to stop him from achieving his dream of becoming pirate king. That is why i love Zoro. His resolve towards helping luffy achieve that goal is just unrivaled. Even through death, he will not let something happen to his captain. Such a touching moment there.

He respects luffy more then anyone. Though it is kind of sad to see him take in all that pain. I guess kuma kind of saw this as well during this moment. Even though he may of seemed like a viscous criminal out to obliterate everyone. I think Kuma actually intentionally sparred them Because of zoro's Selfless act. Could it be that Kuma actually cares for these guys?? yeah sounds crazy but after watching this episode. What else can i expect. This is truly for ever one of my favorite one piece episodes.

Badassssss.....Zoro and Sanji were great in this epsode, both completely willing to sacrifice themselves for the rest of the crew. And, the last scene with Sanji finding a Zoro completely injured and bloody and..STILL STANDING. Holy Shit.

As for the actual Urza shot or whatever, it isn't as strong as it looks obviously. I don't see how anyone could say it was an atomic blast, because if it was everything would have completely obliterated. I still wonder if the island was transported somewhere..

You can't deny that the sheer presence of Kuma is one of the most menacing and frightening figures of One Piece. I got scared everytime he appeared in front of a Strawhat, he's that strong in my eyes. Maybe not as strong as Enel or Blackbeard as actual powers go, but the psychological factor plays a huge role in the way Kuma acts.

My gosh! my mind is a mush! There’s some many great things to mention in this episode! One piece is brilliant! :-D
I have to commend Zoro's commitment and bravery on this one.. being the second founder of the crew and 2nd in command.. He really showed his responsibility to the crew and his captain! :-D That big bowl of red stress from Luffy was amazing! So that's how much stress and suffering a captain must succumb.
Also.. more info about Kuma is revealed.. So aside from his devil fruit.. his also like franky.. a cyborg.. I hope in the near future Franky can upgrade his systems and be on par with The Tyrant! :-)
Oh, and I noticed the great background sounds which was right on spot with the setting and theme.. Next episode will most probably be comedy with Luffy going all crazy feeling "energetic" LOL

ZOOOOOOOOOORO
he's always been my favorite character along with luffy
the thing that affected me the most was how he actually kneeled and begged. i've watched zoro for 350+ episodes and i've NEVER seen him do anything like that and never thought i would. zoro meant strength; he could not be degraded even while on the verge of death. the fact that he laid aside his steel pride in order to saw luffy and the straw hats really touched me because it spoke of, more than anything else, his dedication to luffy's dream.
he came to the swift and firm conclusion that he had to offer his life. he did it with no hesitation. can you imagine nami or anybody else doing it as firmly like that as zoro did? he is truly the most loyal and useful nakama.
there's other things worth mentioning too:

- ok sanji secretly loves zoro, what with trying to sacrifice himself instead and breaking out into a sprint looking for him
- the animation was AMAZING. like it looked like CG at some points, with the shadows playing across zoro's form. it was seriously good, i hope they continue it.
- ... ZORO

Perhaps wrong to say, but kinda neat that Zoro got to experience all the pain and suffering that Luffy goes through to save their asses all the time.
He was always one of my favorite characters but the way he was willing to give his life for his Captain in this episode made me respect/like him even more <3

Zoro's wits saved them and Kuma's Pride also interfered, but man taking all of luffy's pain must have been intense.

Behold of my awesomeness~

It was an awesome episode, but I think Zoro's sacrifice didn't impress me in the level I would have expected. Maybe it came too fastly or unexplained? The scene of Zoro in a bloodbath was crude but also sort of anticlimactic for me. Still a fascinating character moment, but...

If a small bit of Luffy's pain & fatigue were enough to cause his body to react like that the first time, I wonder how he had to go through absorbing all of it..

God he has gained SO MUCH RESPECT in my book ;____; i'm amazed he didn't die but he's honestly so selfless to have willingly go through that...
My heart hurts from seeing the aftermath on him :(
