I still can't believe Odokawa = Tanjirou's VA. This range is pretty incredible.

Meanwhile you instantly hear Usopp in Kakihana.

Damn, it´s getting better and better, I have a lot of questions and theories, cant wait for the next ep, I kinda wanna wait for the show to end and watch all the eps in one night.

I have a theory, when Driver got in that accident he talked about he got some sort of brain damage and that makes him percieve people around him as animals, its hinted in the first episode where the doctor asks him how he sees him and he answers Gorilla. I think that will be the twist that will slowly be revealed as the anime goes on !

It sounds like a good twist, whe havent seen an animal behavior but we´ll have to wait

Dude, in only 2 episodes, Odakawa is already my favorite character! He really sets a great straight man for the show and sets the tone of the show really well. This is honestly shaping up to be one to the best anime I’ve ever watched! Also, btw, this show needs to be known by everyone, it’s incredible!

there are a lot of hints that point towards all the characters only being animals in his head. All the flashbacks show human silhouettes, there's a moment where the silhouette of the alpaca nurse in the taxi is clearly a human lady, stuff like that. Plus outside of the show itself, a lot of the promotional material shows humans and their animal counterparts. Would be a pretty wild twist.

another thing i noticed that reinforces the theory, in the official music video for the OP song - the two rappers appear as animals in the style of the show when Driver(keep forgeting his name) looks in the mirror for a few seconds, the rest of the video they are human

Have two questions
1. Why tf is everyone out to get this taxi driver like wtf and this guys chill too
2. Did the llama girl send the message at the end to the guy with the gun or our protagonist

Man the way this show is able to feel so real despite the designs is insane. Dialogue just flows so smoothly but also has alot of wit to it.

While interesting I think the problem with this theory, or rather the show if this theory was legit, is that this makes sense when its from the perspective of odakawa but so many scenes have been isolated from him or his point of view that there'd be no reason to show them as animals unless the show was being unfairly deceptive.

Writing in this show so far is really great, and like last episode we get more of that brilliant dialouge that relates each of the plot points together in some way.

In the first scene when odokawa and the Alpaca woman are driving, the Homosapien comedy duo are discussing how creators often stifle their creativity to please certain people, and how creators shouldn't have to do that in order to become popular. This coming right after a scene with odokawa explaining to his friend how he managed to get the number of a very pretty woman without changing himself in anyway. Loved that.

There's a lot of allusion to the idea that what we think might be popular isn't always so, and it shows up constantly. there's the idol group who seem to only have one popular member, despite there being 2 other idols right there with unique concepts to them. There's a follow-up of the kid trying to get popular on twitter, but not understanding what really makes people retweet things. There's the second discussion that the Homosapiens have in the taxi ride with Odokawa where one berates the other for not being funny, only to find out moments later that his friend got booked to do a show without him.

And because the dialouges on point, each of these scenes all relate to one another in some form, and they don't exactly seem random. there was even a point in the first scene with Odokawa and the Alpaca lady where the comedy duo on the radio are talking about relationships and one asks the other about his girlfriend, to which he says he lets his girlfriend take care of him.

This dialouge is played over a clip of the Alpaca woman who tells Odokawa seconds later that her one regret is not letting her parents take care of her, or relying on them when she needed them when she went to college.

I could go on, but honestly I feel like people giving this show a low score probably just don't like looking that deep into the dialouge of a show, and thus gloss over all of these tiny little writing moments that make this show really shine. And I get not everyone likes how grumpy and generally out of touch Odokawa is, but i feel thats the point. And personally, i think episode 1 and 2 have shown he has great chemistry with all of the characters who he comes across in his taxi, despite being the same flat toned character.

I have a wild theory. So we know the missing girl is a black cat. Nikaido says the masks on the other girls were the conditions for their debut. Imai mentions that Mitsuya's dancing has gotten sloppy. During Imai's flashback there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment showing one of Mitsuya's eyes and it's grey instead of green. I'm thinking the real Mitsuya went missing and they pulled a switch.

That was quite a long and awkward ride with shirakawa as the passenger XD

I wonder how Odokawa dealt with the situation after staring at his own face on the front camera XD

The ride with the Homosapiens was really enjoyable. Instead of making jokes with the intention to make people laugh they should just be natural and go with flow that way there would surely be some comedic moments.

This guy reminded me of Fushiguro XD

There wasn't any new info about the lost girl in this episode. Most likely the next episode will focus on that, looking forward to it.

The theory that all of these animals could be humans make sense since Odokawa's memory of that accident has human figures in it.

This anime makes me wanna be a taxi driver, that way I can get to observe different types of people. This and Fumetsu no Anata e will be the best anime of this season for me.

That's actually a pretty solid theory. At this point I thought it was obvious that the missing girl was connected to the trio, but I couldn't think about how.
I also think that the monkey with a gun is probably not an evil character. He did beat up a lot of guys, but didn't kill anyone. Him searching for the missing girl is probably not for the purpose of harming her or returning her back to the studio.
Guess, we'll just have to wait and see)

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but I genuinely love the casual dialogue in this show. Somehow I actually look forward to listening to the radio show in the taxi or the random conversations we manage to get.

It all feels much more realistic to me than some other shows that try to do the same thing.

The sheep joke between odakawa and the sheep woman was funny. I never thought the comedy would be this good. I really love the silence between the convo's and how fast they reply. Great dialogues. Who would have expected the monke to step in the car with a gun?
Great cliffhanger.

My personal issue with the series it is narrating the world building way too literally.I wish it narrated the world building in a subtle way like 86 or To your eternity like,we all obviously know how our world works and we don't need a piece of fiction to remind us about the society.Other than that,I'm really looking forward to how they'll solve the mystery.
I also like how every character(even the mc) look shady and we can trust no one(except the Gorilla he's so humble) even the nurse lady looks so shady. So I think the anime has done a good job on that one.

The fact that I liked the most is that the whole story and everything going on in the story has nothing to do with Odokawa and his Taxi , but at the same the whole thing just revolves around Odokawa and his " ODD TAXI "
For a moment, I thought of putting this on - hold , but I guess I'll continue ✌

Ohh shit, the Criminal Dobu approaching Odokawa.

I really love the flow of the show so far, the dialogue and the performance of the Seiyuu somehow feel natural and calming.

Man, that part where Shirakawa pulls out her phone to show Odokawa that she likes him made me bust out laughing. Just seeing that sad face was hilarious for some reason.

Anyway, a pretty solid episode with some fun moments. It's nice to see the real heart of the series - Odokawa reacting to eccentric passengers in his taxi.

Also, I'm intrigued to see the connection Yamamoto has with the case.
