This episode gets some extra points for having Holo in it! <3 As for the episode itself, it wasn't too bad. Nothing really special happened, but it wasn't boring either. Would have been so bad ass if that dude split in half from that attack... |

| Did no one else catch the Baccano reference?? It was so obvious too... Wth is tokyo hand? is it a company in the anime, because i saw it pop up in this episode at least 2 times. 4th time trying to watch this series. seems better the 4th time because all those times i tried to watch it before i was like 12 and stupid so.. |
| Quite a normal start of an anime introducing most of the characters we'll probably will see in the whole Anime, for me the start and ending are most important though this Anime didn't quite impress me as far for this episode lets see if it can impress me further on... Either way not a bad episode! 3/5 |

| Brains Base have done a really nice job on animating this. The voice actors are pretty decent too. My only worry is we have a LOT of new characters partially introduced to us but hopefully they'll be fleshed out more as we go on. |

| I didn't understood one thing that happenned in that episode. I started this serie without knowing a damn thing aboout it but I wish I knew a little more... The OP reminded me of Baccano, even the setting. Which I hope is just an impression because Baccano left me disappointed. One thing that I found disappointing in Baccano and gave me the same feeling in this first episode is the feeling of having to much character, and that most of them seem optional. I mean, in Baccano, they're was so much character that seemed important but ultimately, added almost nothing to the story. One thing I found odd was the girl. The cut on her neck seemed like it was an head putted on another body... Maybe, it was the root of her reaction. Anyway, I hope the next episode will swept those bad feeling I have. |

| Nothing really special,just introductions to alot character this episode. Can't wait to see Izaya and Shizuo. Can kind of already tell I'ma like this less than Baccano!It doesn't have the same atmosphere or theme like Baccano! did with the 1930s |

| I have this Baccano! feel for some reason, but well its the same studio, writer, staff, and a large cast in here, with a bunch of mysteries are coming up. The two main characters are much likable in here, and how they set up for the second half of the episode was interesting. Looking forward to more of this. The OP was good, but the ed was somewhat addicting, looks like some kind of hip hop music genre. |

| Jesus, was this show boring. Is it really that hard to set the tone at the first epiosde? Or is this anime supost to be an anime about teenagers talking all episode with 1/3 of it being text from a chatroom.. dude i dont need a freaking anime to show me a chatroom.. thats not why i watch anime. The laziness in the freaking FIRST episode is astounding.(that already shows that it only can go worse) |
| Oh man I almost forgot how fucking classic that ED was. That shit spawned a lot of parody fanart/videos. So good. I've always enjoyed the sequences of both ED and the OP, very stylish. |

| This episode was awesome, it was a great introduction to the whole show. As a viewer I could really experience the emotions Mikado felt as he entered to this unknown world. I loved the scene where the headless motorcyclist attack with a scythe. It leaves no wounds yet it kills which I think is pretty cool. The short intro of Izaya was nice but I want to know more about him. He is an interesting person because of the way he thinks and acts and also because of my interest of his cynicism. Btw the OP song and the scenes in the OP is so amazing.. especially the OP song, it's brilliant and gives you a feeling.. Can't wait to watch the next coming episodes :) |

| Awesome OP! Catchy ED, too! (^_^) So we have Mikado and Masaomi, our fun main characters. There's a whole bunch of other interesting characters, yet we haven't dove into their personalities that much. Although this Headless Rider is one of the most mysterious characters out there. I'd like to find out more about her. And yes, she has the figure of a female. |
