| Really good first episode. The voice of Naru is nice to hear. Funny parts in it. Overall feel: heartwarming and fun. One of my favorites this season for sure ^^ |
| This is definitely one of the better series of the summer season! Loved Naru and her seiyuu! If this keeps up, it's definitely going to be one of my favorites of the season. The OP and ED are pretty nice as well. Especially the ED. :) |

| Man, that was an excellent first episode, especially for a show I came into with zero expectations. Everything felt so genuine and sincere, from the comedy to the interactions between Sensei and Naru. Found myself laughing my ass off quite a few times, even when I shouldn't (I mean, did he really just casually push a kid into the water? LOL). Oh and, talking about Naru, her seiyuu is boss : it's so refreshing to hear a seven year-old actually speak like one. I'm sold. |

| Wow FANTASTIC episode~ already in love with this anime I had no idea what it was about before watching this episode and gah I'm glad a decided to watch it Naru is freaking adorable <3 And that scene at the end was hilarious lol |

| Hmm Op appears to be more of a catchy Song Instance then something needing an OP analysis so one is not needed for this one. Ok so Barakamon seems rather cute and enjoyable so far Our MC is ok so far and his Interactions with Naru do make me smile a bit. So far nothing really bad and i'm hoping to see a lot of good stuff in this anime. |

| BUTT JABBBBB. On another note, what a great episode! Really love the show already. The ending of the episode was pretty sweet, with all the village coming to help him move in. |
| Funimation FINALLY uploaded Barakamon. Christ, did it take an age. Naru is cutest thing ever. I love her design -- shorts, rope, a girl but doesn't need frills to be effing adorable. The corn top fingers were fffffffff.（≧∇≦） Quite a good start. All children A+, plus child actors. Protag is a relatable jerk, amenable to change. Animation great. Character designs great. Setting great. Let's see how this goes. |

| Naru's voice is very interesting. It actually sounds like Doraemon/real kid instead of of the moe loli. But this show has potential to be one of the better shows if it continue with its current path. |

| A new anime that's not set in a generic Japanese high school? What sorcery is this? Even though the metaphors were a little too on the nose, it was overall a good episode. @Forgetfulness Yeah, it reminded me of Gin no Saji too, and a bit of Wolf Children. |

| 4/5 As I expected, the first episode is great from my point of view. History is not transcendental, but as a slice of life goes and gag help the vision for the uninitiated. Technique and good graphics, the studio Kinema Citrus does not disappoint. An anime to be taken into consideration in this summer season in 2014. For now, my final vote is 10.7! |

| Didn't knew this was airing this season, but when I heard I immediately and went on watching the first episode. Absolutely love this series, Naru is right up there with being one of the cutest anime/manga kids like Ushio, Yotsuba, Yuzuyu, and the whole Hanamaru Youchien cast. And it's these kind of adaptations that make it worthwhile to watch a series, even when you've read the manga. Naru's seiyuu does one hell of a job, that accent is to die for. And seeing that punch in motion had me seriously cracking up. Luckily I wasn't drinking at the time. |

| Naru is so adorable, Handa seems to be able to tolerate her. That scene where Naru knocks Handa down into the sea, lol. The pain Handa must have felt when bald headed kid gives him a prostate exam low blow xD |

| There are only two types of SoL anime.. either it sucks donkey balls or it's a great slice-of-awesomeness like this one. Ain't no such thing as average SoL anime. I know for sure I'm gonna enjoy this. Naru is adorable as fuck and the comedy is very funny. Must be nice living in the countryside.. |

| I like how this starts off. Crisp animation, the voice cast is good, and I can feel myself liking the cast. The ed was just fantastic and fit the tone of the show. |

| I laughed my ass of over that punch in the beginning, at the gawking expressions, xDD. Then I remember that he had just punched an OLD MAN using a CANE!!! I'm not laughing anymore. (no matter how awesome that punch is) Naru's voice is soooo adorable, the main guy is so HOT!! and the op is AWESOME!! |

| Everything about Naru is adorable, especially her voice. I found the final scene when he wrote 'fun' on the huge paper really powerful. It proves that calligraphy is his way of expressing himself. Really looking forward to the rest of this! |
| Kids are actually voiced by kids in this anime! That's refreshingly authentic :) |
