| So we're introduced to Shizu and learn a bit about her background, which I found pretty interesting. This was another good episode, and I liked the part that explained what happened with Gobta after he was left in the prison lol. |

| I'm glad that they showed how Gobta was able to escape from prison in Dwargon with his new ability to summon a Tempest Wolf. He's got some good skills right there, but he's a bit useless in teaching the other goblins about it, so Rimuru's respect level for him went up AND then back down because of it. XD Shizu's introduction was really cool. Her combat skills against the massive ants was a treat to watch with some lovely animation and impressive attacks. She and Rimuru got along really well, which was nice. And that led to the scene where she reveals to Rimuru that she also came from Japan, but during the era of WW2, where she was summoned just as the bombs landed as she was escaping with her mother. The whole scene was pretty sad to watch, but it was really nice of Rimuru to show Shizu how Japan grew to the modern country it is today. Of course, the Elf stripping scene was hilarious and the only thing that Shizu mentioned about it was that "she was pretty". Oh, bless her. ^_^ However, since she has Ifrit residing within her and how she acted in pain near the end of the episode, it does leave some flags being set up. That's my assumption, since I'm an anime-only here, but I think the signs are pointing in that sort of direction. Best episode so far? I certainly think so. =D |

| The goblin village is evolving fast, good for them, they also made sure to make more of em xD I almost teared up when Rimuru showed Shizu how Japan evolved, this was so, so good. The battle scene was greatly animated, this whole series is greatly animated. |
| Wait is that a Dragon Quest reference...? Anyway a near flawless adaptation so far. The pacing and animation is superb as always. Never thought the studio would not skip minor details to flesh out Tensura's world like giving Ranka motivation to become even stronger by letting him witness his next stage of evolution, how Gobta who was completely forgotten in the last episode made his escape from the prison, showing the consequences of Rimuru's action of making Veldora disappear and of course how the dwarfs integrate in the now developing village and showing the progress by increasing the goblins' wardrobe selection. Can't wait for next episode! |

I am loving this anime so much. It's a 10/10 for my heart. I enjoy it so much and I watch it with an ever present smile on my face. The reunion of Rimuru and Shizu felt amazing and wholesome. How hard must have been for her abandoning her world at the brink of death, living who knows what kind of life in another world and now finding something that anchors you to your original world? That moment, that single joke must have been the most relieving thing that has happened to her. It really was a heartwarming scene. The goblin village is going great so far and poor Gobta was actually left behind xD I like the 3 adventurers. I hope they are recurrent characters. They seem to be good comic relief, goofy characters. I'm 100% O K with the slow pacing the series is taking to develop the plot. I'm glad the team behind this made it a full 2 cour series instead of 1 cour so they can adapt everything they want as good as it deserves. I have not read the LN but damn, this gives me so much Mushoku Tensei vibes... I'm loving it. This is why I liking this so much. They are giving themselves time to develop the world and the characters instead of forcing into us a goal the MC must achieve within 12 episodes. They are building the world, character motivations, relationships, consequences of Rimiru's actions and consequences of other characters into Rimuru's life as well. |

| How are we six episodes in and still not done with volume 1? The next one will probably end volume 1 since it looks like they're going over all the Shizu backstory that they skipped leading up to this point. Best Girl still isn't here... I'm gonna assume that Nameless Story is going to be in both cours. Not that I think that's a bad thing. |

| Great episode. Nice to see how the Goblin village has evolved along with the population. xD We finally get to see more of the adventurer group from the first episode and we finally get to meet Shizu as well. Really liking her from what we've seen from this episode. Loved the parts where Rimuru showed Shizu what current day Japan was like .:) I'm kinda interested in how Shizu came to know about games. xD Her backstory seems rough, that master doesn't look like a nice guy considering he just offered her up to Ifrit. |

| So Shizu makes her appearence and she's quite the stunner and damn she's quite skilled. Didn't take her much effort taking out all those Ant's! So as Rimuru guessed, she's also from Japan but was actually summoned. Now this is quite an interesting development. Her past is quite a shocker, she was in a very bad shape when she arrived into this world. |

| That Shizu/Rimuru moment sure made me happy somehow, I guess they are truly fated together. Rigurd sure has become bigger and I see Gobta has able to summon, the Goblin village is beginning to prosper. Naming 500 goblins sure is a stretch, Rimuru sure has the mentality (I wouldn't have cope). The glimpse back story of Shizu is a bit sad man, that blonde guy seems obnoxious. Any way, good episode. |

| Oh nooo, damn you 8-bit, you made Shizu really that cute. For the manga reader like me, this is not good Eiii.... that Elf on rimuru's PC seems familiar. Isn't that from the harem king isekai anime last season ? I just realize that 8-bit really spoiling the next arc after shizu arc on the ED animation, the ogres. |

| we got a someone on the key visual to finally show up. i like Shizu so far....gonna be a shame if something happens to her really like this show. balancing between wholesome and intriguing is good. only nitpicks is the sound effects and Ellen's voice not matching the character's emotion (turns out her actress is a legit rookie, so i'll give her a pass) |

| Kinda funny seeing a slime have a love interest lol. Seems like I guessed correct, Shizu was summomed a long time ago and is probably the hero who sealed veldora. Im really tempted to read the source material now but knowing myself I wont be watching the anime anymore if I did that. Im kinda curious what rimuru would sound like in human form because he's not gonna have the same va when he's a slime right? |

| Was a awesome episode! But it finished way to fast, it is signal that i am enjoying a lot! Riumuro telling us how Gobta had returned from prison was really funny! Goblin village grew a lot, and the population increase to 500, how fast! The human group was really funny to watch, was cool to meet them more than last encounter in cave! I loved meeting Shizue, so she was summoned before she dies, she is really beautifull, and at first sight she have a awesome pesonality and looked strong, and was interesting how she knew that Rimuru were from Japan too, if she knows about games from japan, that world should have more people from Japan, cause she told Rimuru that a friend told her! I am curious to learn more about Shizue! Hyped for next week! |

| What a great episode I love Shizu even though i already know what will happen to her later since i already read the manga long time ago, but the adaptation makes me care about the characters once again, sign of a good adaptation. Also this kind of pacing is my favourite since it's not that fast to throw you outside the tempo yet not painfully slow at the point i feel asleep. 5/5 |

I find it hard to believe that someone from the WWII era could have the concept of video games explained to them, then specifically have Dragon Quest explained and understand it's lore to the point that quoting a phrase from the game would warrant a chuckle. Also, when Rimuru shows her visions of Tokyo Tower and the Shinkansen being built, she seems to be finding out about post WWII Japan for the first time and is genuinely happy that Japan was in a time of peace. Wouldn't this point of conversation have come up first if she spoke with another person from our world? I'm wondering was all this in the novels and if so was it explained further or is this just a sloppy side story added in by the anime. I never read the novels but in the manga, it will be explained later. |
| Gobta became a summoner? That's high class already... Shizu cutting down those giant ants was a great action sequence! "Got a problem with slimes?" That's going to be the best line in this series. Is that a Teppanyaki griddle? Shizu eats with her mask on! The seiza-style sitting posture is a nice detail. I do find it weird that for a fantasy setting, everyone eats with chopsticks: Whoa, that was sooner than I expected! Shizu is from Japan! Rimuru can memory share?! That is SO going to come in handy! There's one thing about Shizu that scares me though. She's not part of the group in the final frame in the ending animation... |

| This was definitely better than last episode. Really liking Shizu's design and power. You can't go wrong with a fire-wielding, mask-wearing badass of a girl. And the icing on the cake? she's super pretty. Hope her backstory will be shown next episode. 5/5 |
