| Is there some reason why Touka didn't use her sense of smell to locate Hinami? She wasn't all that far away, but it was the scream that seemed to do the trick. |
| All this about manga vs anime reminds me of when people discuss about Magi. I thought this was a great episode. Although it might be a bit cliche, I loved the part where they switched between the two fights and Touka and Amon were saying the exact same things but about different "races." |

| Hinami's kagune is sick! I knew she had something but I didn't think it'd be that powerful. I didn't expect Mado to die so soon, the events that happened also had me pretty confused. Like I thought Mado was an asshole the whole way through but even he had a reason. |
| For every episode I watch, the more I start to dislike this show. The characters are bland and lack depth. The scenes were we should feel something makes me wanna puke since it's so horribly carried out. If there's one thing I dislike about anime, it's forced drama. Oh and white knights. Guess this show manages to nail them both. What else to rant about... The censoring is awful. Dialogue is predictable and bland. There are zero comedy moments (not that were supposed to be any). The main character is your typical boring white knight who thinks he is so special. "How can I make him understand me?" Well maybe opening your little mouth and actually talking to him would be a good start? Nah f*ck that right? Lets let him beat the crap out of you in the most pathetic manner possible. Too bad the best and most interesting character of the show got killed in this episode. Highly considering to drop this show. |
| Great episode, I loved Kaneki realizing his purpose. And Hinami is one really strong little girl, I thought she'd go insane before the half of what happened to her. |

| Frankly, as a manga reader you have to be pretty damn mad with the show to find this episode any kind of bad. The action scenes were good, the OST was, as usual, fantastic and even the deviations from the source material were acceptable, and I even daresay welcome. I wasn't too sure about Ken letting himself get kicked around at first, but then I realized that Kaneki from the anime simply is a slighty different character than the Kaneki from the manga, in the sense that the former has been portrayed as significantly more naïve and lacking in awareness of his environment than the latter. Which is easy to see during the Gourmet arc for eg, where anime-Kaneki is way too trusting of Based Tsukiyama, or when you notice that anime-Kaneki questions way less about the validity of ghouls/humans relationships througout the episodes than his manga counterpart (most of his inner monologues in the source material having been cut out). Another thing worthy of note would be that manga-Kaneki oftentimes follows his own agenda and does things for he may benefit from (like hanging out with Tsukiyama -to get info on the ghoul restaurant-, or deciding to help Kimi and Nishio -to see how far a link between human and ghoul can go-), something ani-Kaneki never actually does. So in the end, it makes sense that similar but ultimately different characters would have similar, but ultimately different ways of fighting. Ani-Kaneki, like the pure pacifist that he is, will try and talk things out with Amon-kun and only resort to using his ghoul powers when there's no other way, whereas manga-Kaneki (who's actually not as pure a pacifist as his anime self) will chose to fight ghoul-style right away because he came to the conclusion this was the best course of action in order to get through to his opponent and end the fight quickly without casualties (even though he took the risk of going mad in the process). So yeah, good stuff. ps: also RIP Mado. Seeing your crazy ass animated was pure bliss. |

| So wait? Each of them have different level of senses? The little girl could smell her mom from miles away yet nobody could smell her? She is in a range where her yelling voice could be heard clearly. If Hinami could use her brain much earlier, her mom wouldn't have died for nothing. Gee so much convenience here and there. The "taking off glove" part was stupid, like hell people would normally think like that at that moment. Wearing a glove is nothing significant at all, it just seems like Touka was over thinking JUST FOR THAT MOMENT because the author needs a reason to remove the glove and reveal the ring. This show has a few good ideas, but the execution was poor and sometimes cringe-worthy. A perfect example of wasted potential. Is it alright for me to be alive Reminds me of Ace!P.S. This show needs a philosopher, and the cops need an education from them. Edit: This show has a few good OST. |

| 4/5 Good episode, but the main character seems a bit too idealistic in the topical moment, it takes a lot more resolution, though a modicum of maturity has been acquired by Kaneki The technical realization of the episode is good, what bad graphic. Eventually the old man lineage, while including perhaps his strong resentment towards the Ghoul. Soundtrack that I like very much, also the opening. |

| Touka talks about how she "just wants to live", even though she goes on revenge murders all the time using her powers to savagely rip people apart, is emotionally unstable, and in general a giant asshole to everybody, humans and ghouls alike. MC realizes that "not all ghouls are bad!!" and resolves to act as a bridge between humans and ghouls. And then literally 5 minutes later he's writhing and tormented about how he can't control himself and needs to eat human flesh. Uhh... Crazy old dude died. Damn, he was my favorite character. Hinami is stupid and only exists to make me feel sorry for her. Yawn. Black hair detective dude is stupid and annoying. "I don't have time for you.......so let me beat you up and continue to toy with you for an extended period of time as slowly as possible". LOL at him screaming at the end. Yea..... |

| I really hate that Amon guy. I tried making myself understand his perspective, understand his feelings, but I. Can't. Huge rant coming up. Amon is so stupid. How could he obediently stay by that crazy guy Mado's side even when he kills his ghoul victims in the most gruesome and cruellest ways? Or can he really not notice that Mado is insane? Can he REALLY not believe that ghouls have FEELINGS? I mean. They look so much like humans. I thought it was so ironic when Amon was beating Kaneki up and saying how children were separated from humans because of ghouls when HE was the one who stood silently to the side when Hinami's mother was killed. HOW STUPID CAN HE BE???? Did he really agree with Mado, does he really believe that in the world of ghouls, everyone is heartless? Just because they're GHOULS? Seriously, I couldn't stand him crying like that while beating Kaneki up because it was SO. STUPID. As for Mado? I don't care if his family was murdered by ghouls. All I care about and know at the moment is that he ENJOYED seeing poor Hinami suffer at the loss of her parents. And that is probably how he is with every one of his victims, killing them and enjoying it. He's a true sadist. I feel bad for him and his family, but I will never like him as a character. Grr. One last thing I'd like to complain about is why Kaneki didn't say anything significant to convince Mr. Naive Justice Guy in their fight scene. What in the effin heck did he mean by 'I'll make you understand'?? WHAT, BY LETTING YOURSELF GET BEAT UP, SERVING AS SOME PAIN IN THE ASS BARRIER FOR MR. JUSTICE, in the hopes of convincing him that some ghouls, like you, can solve matters peacefully? Well, that plan obviously didn't work out cause you had to use THAT. I wish he could've talked. Aside from my frustrations at said characters, this was a really intense and well done episode! Fight scenes were quite amazing -- I especially loved when Hinami awakened/finally wanted to use her powers (forgot the term for the wiggly wing-like thingies) and almost beat the crap out of Mado. So beautiful, how she inherited both her parents' power wing things. It was really pretty. And poor Touka. I wonder if there was any specific reason for her getting so shaken from seeing Mado's bare hand (or more specifically, his ring?), like, maybe she was the one who murdered his family back then? |

| Wow, that episode was pretty awesome. The Touka vs Mado fight was nicely done, and when Hinami finally chimed in I was like "HELL YEAH YOU GO GURL" Mado was interesting indeed but I'm glad his stupid ass is dead. |

| That was nicely animated, and the art was at it's best. I think it was good move to rearrange the stories and events of the manga, it added more time to connect with the characters, and the added bit about Hinami's father worked really well. Really liked the tone, atmosphere and OST. Might have been better than the manga. 5/5 I strongly remember this part, when I read the manga before it got adapted, it was when I realized the manga was something great. Really felt for Hinami, particularly when she said she didn't care about revenge, I was emotional about the whole thing. |

Open all cemeteries to serve as malls to ghouls? Even families of suicides have the right to know their destinies and mourn the deads. There's no way that humans can live in peace with their predators |
| Really powerful episode! I am celebrating at Touka & Hinami killing Kureo, pure epicness...so glad. Surprised that Kaneki let Amon live...I mean I understand he said he didn't want to be a murderer but I doubt that'll change Amon's outlook on anything. |
| I loved it. I think Touka is more important here than Kaneki. And Hinami-chan...I feel really bad for the kid. That action was intense. Mado-san was CRAZY! |
