I really liked this episode. Krillin became really awesome. About that SSB Goku vs Krillin: Goku just wanted to show Krillin what kind of powers there are. Krillin did not stand a chance against Goku, obviously. Goku used a really weak kamehameha against Krillin, and he just kept rising the strength of that kamehameha to see how far he can push Krillin to his limits. At least I hope that's what the creators thought. It's the only logical way, otherwise the power-scaling would be all over the place. I hope I am right... Also, next episode is about Buu, eh? We got a new ED, featuring fat Buu, while next episode he'll be slim. So either they're going to change that ED, and even the OP next week, or Buu has a transformation instead of a constant form. Like SSJ form, but it'll be like super majin, or something like that. |

The new ED was great. The fight between Gohan and Krillin was good and also liked how Krillin uses strategy in his battle. Goku vs Krillin started well but having the SSJB Kamehameha being pushed back by Krillin's was a bit too much. At least Krillin lost his balance after that and almost lost his consciousness. Anyway, can't wait to see No.17 again. Also, what the fuck Buu?! It seems that Jiren will make his deput too. |

Only in broad lines and even then just as Krillin implied. Power is useful but not the crux of this tournament. Heck, just look at how he ''defeated'' Gohan after the Taiyo ken. Momentum and martial arts. But yeah, absolute numbers are a joke when you get sliced by a destructo disc or the likes. Which would probably be why all the major antagonist after the Androids got a regenerating ability. Unless your power is absolute, you can still lose through a well placed hit. But then the show would be over XD |

To everyone saying that power levels are irrelivent, it's not even power levels, just basic logic. krillin << frieza << cell << base goku << blue goku but somehow krillin can still contend with blue goku? Sure, why not. Maybe next episode mercenary tao will come back to slap beerus around a bit. It's all good. |

Goku was definitely holding back. He only went SSJB to intimidate krillin to see if he was still scared of powerful opponents. He used more power whenever krill in did but only enough to beat him. No one said he was using full power. Can't wait to see buu transform |

Wow production quality on point! If the whole tournament is like this, im gonna rate it 9! So I just realized why they have "weak" earthlings enter the game: They will say they are the strongest - enemy attacks will be very powerful from the start - they die - enemy gets disqualified. The end XD Finally 17 is back, nice! I wish 16 would be still here.. |

Good that they pointed out that Kuririn has much more fighting experience than Gohan, strength isn't everything! This was a surprisingly good episode, the choreography during Goku and Kuririn's fight when he was dodging the Kienzans was good and having the fight in the rain with the rain being scattered around their aura and energy beams is something you never see in this series. Combine that with the small scenes of what their daily lives are like (still my favourite thing about this show) and it was quite enjoyable. I also liked the new ED theme I was expecting something cheesy like Yoka Yoka Dance but it sounded more well put together than that, love the picture of Bulma with Goku and Kuririn at the Tenkaichi Budoukai, they actually drew kid Goku with his proper eyes instead of drawing him like Goten (even Toriyama draws him like Goten with his modern style) |

Guys stop saying that krillin can fight against SSJB. If goku wanted to he would have ended the fight in 1 sec and 1 punch. He just wants to see what krillin can do when a difficulty appears in front of him, the only reason Krillin is in the team is because of the Taikoken which is a Super good move for a tourney like this, it is a Huge AoE ability that can give a huge advantage. |

Krillin was pretty cool this episode never thought I'd use the word 'cool' for Krillin. Oh so we're gonna see which warriors the other universes will be recruiting before the match starts, I thought they planned to mass introduce everyone at the tournament. |

Some of that animation of Goku vs. Krillin looked really cool. So far, they've been doing a pretty good job with this arc. Dragon Ball Super might be able to redeem itself just a little if it keeps this up this level of quality. |

EmiliaBestGirl said: Still i feel Goten & trunks are better than krillin or tien Rewatch their fight with Super Boo or their antics at the Martial arts tournament. They are strong, yeah. But impulsive, shortsighted and experience lacking. Fighters like Piccolo, Tien and Krillin who have been lagging around for quite sometime learned how to fight smarter unlike the Saiyans who usually just brute force their way out. Besides, this is not a 1 v 1 damege output contest. Just look at it from a RPG view. The humans are the mages to the Saiyan warriors. 1 on 1 vs a Warrior a mage will lose, but use his as support and the Warrior on your control gets more options to strike. |

So at this point power levels are completely pointless and Super Saiyan transformations are like fashion statements, otherwise Goku was completely hellbent on killing his childhood best friend with that Super Saiyan Blue Kamehameha just to prove, that he's stronger. I'm fine with that. Other than that, while Krillin may look progressively more like Caillou in DBS, he atleast seems to have finally recovered from the trauma Raditz caused him by smashing him into the Kame House porch to the point where he is 23rd World Tournament Krillin again. I'll give this episode a pass, though I wish they would finally stop fan servicing stuff and would just do something new. I mean 100x Solarflare, another time, where instead of coming up with a new technique, they just slap a Size-Bigger-Label on it. |

Just because Krillin was able to hold his own against Gohan and Gokou all you extremist fanatics are calling foul on every level. Give yourselves a break from your obsession with power levels ok because you're missing the point of what those fights were: a sparing match to test and measure not only Krillin's power but also his useful abilities in a battle royal. Gohan and Gokou weren't there to seriously beat Krillin, if they were then Gohan would've used SS1 as a means to see while blinded making Solar flare completely useless and Gokou should've used his Kamehameha like the one he used against Toppo that would take the entire Satan building down. You all take this power level garbage too seriously. I know it's there and it serves a purpose but you guys are incapable of seeing a sparring match from a battle to the death if you're too caught up with it. |

Really liked that episode. It finally showed that the tourney isn't only about pure power but also about fight experience. Every person Goku wants on his team, maybe besides Gohan, has this experience. Especially people like Muten Roshi or Piccolo. The fight of Gohan vs Krillin or Goku vs. Krillin was pretty cool. It showed that Krillin had some new tricks. He was so excited to fight against Goku :D It's also right what C18 said. In this tourney you will not fight alone. I'm sure there will also often be situations where you fight with someone together. TEAMWORK!!! I'm not sure about what happened to Buu in the preview :o But now Goku searching for C17 will be interesting. Looking forward to the next episode. |

Sahaal_17 said: The fight with Lavender was far longer allowing Gohan to use his other senses to track Lavendar while Krillin went for ring out almost immediately after using Solar Flare (Lavendar couldn't do that because there was no ring out in the exhibition matches and the battle field was far larger making it harder for a quick ring out even if it was allowed), Lavendar was going to kill Gohan while fighting with Krillin was just sparring, even before fighting Lavendar Gohan knew that he (Lavendar)and the other trio de dangers could completely mask their ki so after getting blinded he had to use his other senses like hearing because he knew he couldn't sense Lavendar's ki to pinpoint his location anyway. Gohan never expected Krillin to completely suppress his ki after using the times 100 solar flare hence why he lost. It wasn't a power level thing Gohan just underestimated Krillin and Krillin outsmarted him.First gohan gets blinded and looses to krillin, despite proving that he's perfectly capable of fighting while blind against lavender. Sahaal_17 said: Goku never turned blue to beat Krillin but to see how he would react to it? Just a few episodes back Krillin was shitting bricks over illusions of guys like Tamborine and Nappa. Goku wanted to see if Krillin had the confidence to still go up against SSJ Blue and not just get scared and forfeit. It's a way to help Krillin build his confidence.SSJ blue continues to be trivialized as goku transforms just to fight krillin, a person he should by rights be able to reduce to a red paste with a single punch without having to resort to transformation Sahaal_17 said: Yeah and I'm sure Goku was going full out because it's not like he would suppress his power so as not to kill his best friend. Also it's not like Krillin's hands were shaking endlessly and he was about to pass out.Not only that, but krillin actually holds his own in a kamehameha battle with blue goku, despite blue goku being somewhere in the region of a billion times stronger than him. |

It's a good day to be a Krillin fan. He's generally always been about using strategy to outmaneuver his opponents and catch them off guard, as showcased when baiting Nappa and surprise-attacking Recoome. I thought the battle between him and Goku was amazing. The slow motion dodging of the destructo discs and Solar flare fake-out. Pretty fun overall. |

Sahaal_17 said: He never said anything about ki but about pressure which is different. Also krillin specifically says he can feel how strong goku is when he went blue, even though it's a god form and he shouldn't be able to detect any ki from him. Sahaal_17 said: Oh my God in Battle of Gods Beerus knocked out Goku with just a hand chop but slapped Bulma to knock her out. This obviously shows that Bulma > SSJ3 Goku because DBZ characters can't hold back or lower their power when dealing with far weaker opponents. Beerus was definitely full power when he slapped Bulma. To everyone saying that power levels are irrelivent, it's not even power levels, just basic logic. krillin << frieza << cell << base goku << blue goku |

The best thing they could have done with DBS was forgetting about power levels. They're all saturated since DBZ, that's why this new series wasn't going anywhere until now. Finally it was understood that tactics were always more important, just look at the success that JoJo has to this day. I'm only worried about the new characters of the tournment, it's been difficult to create good ones, with little exceptions like Goku Black. The animation of the fighting scene was very good and the new ending was nostalgic |

This was a pretty interesting episode. We saw an amplified version of the Solar Flare which imo will be very useful since his ki can be hidden for a short while, thus allowing him to come up with a counterattacking move. Assuming the move will work in an area where there's no sun. Good moves from Krillin, and really props to him in general because he didn't back down from Super Saiyan Blue. He managed to push back the Kamehameha a little which surprised Goku. It's really nice to see Goku and Gohan together but Krillin and 18 even more. Really like their relationship. Overall pretty good episode. |

I really liked the animation in Goku x Krillin fight... about the kamehameha scene... to me, is pretty obvious that Goku can control his power to a point where he can match with Krilin's kamehameha, even being billions of times stronger than him.... I only think they should made his expression a little more "calm" during the dispute... since he shouldn't be making any effort |

This was a nice episode even f it was ternished by nonsense madness. I was never fond of keeping power tables and I know Goku had become a master in controling his power manifestation but that was so weird. Is the drawings style change from last episode here to stay? (I mean the STABILO outlines like you can see on Digimon Savers's monsters) 2/5 Starting to wonder if I should raise my score a bit. However that scene was not into the manga, conversely the scene of the Kienzan working on Kid Boo is filler aswell ... It's inconsistent, I guess the less complicated explanation is ''writers are idiots'' trope. Anyway, Goku did his best on dodging the discs during this battle. So at the very least we know it does work on base Goku who should be more powerful at this point than Cell. ...''Power levels'' >_< |

Well, at least they finally gave Krillin something to work with. But that Solar Flare x100 isn't going to last long. And this is a battle royale, I'm surprised no one told Goku it would be a one-against-many tournament, and that EVERYONE'S going to KILL HIM!!! But what REALLY troubles me is, 17's alive?!?!?!. I know I've been away from DBZ for quite awhile, (HECK! I'm reading the manga RIGHT NOW) and I don't seem to recall him surviving? Retcon much? And what's even more perplexing is that he is a PARK RANGER?!?!?! Ok,can anyone here please tell me, whether this was mentioned in the main series, games, or DBZ Abridged? Because my jaw actually got locked. No seriously, I had to go to the doctor for that, WHAT? All in all, a pretty eh episode. Not great, but eh, and EEHHHHH??!?!?!?!?!??!?! |

It was never, not once, implied that Krillin can beat or even fight toe to toe with Blue Goku. Goku was impressed by Krillin's clever way of fighting apponents stronger then him. Because of his respect for Krillin, and to see how Krillin handles facing those much stronger then him, he went Blue. In this tournament you don't need to be the strongest to win, you just need to get them out of the ring. They said this like 2 times in the episode. This is not a no rules to the death fight. Power levels are not even relevant in this episode, because they never claimed Krillin was on par power level wise. He was clearly shown to be inferior power level wise. nothing changed in that regard. Goku went blue not because he needed it, but because he wanted to see how Krillin would handle facing such a powerfull foe. Krillin had a natural response to be afraid, but snapped out of it and faced Goku like a boss knowing he was no match to his best friend. The kamehameha was pure nostalgia. It was almost like the ki version of their fist bump in a way. Obviously Goku was holding back, and Krillin was only able to push back, for a tiny small moment may I add, because of his resolve and pushing himself beyond his limits while was Goku holding back. Perfect Ki control means Goku could have been firing a kamehameha thats weeker then one he would fire as his normal self. Just because he's blue doesn't mean every attack he does is at his full strenght. The episode made perfect sense. It's perhaps one of the few fights ever to make any sense at all in DBS. Krillin beat Gohan with strategy. Gohan was fine, he could have easely keep going. In a no rules no out of bounce match Gohan would have won no questions asked. Again, these tournament matches are not about power alone. Gohan and Goku fight in very heads on power based ways. Krillin tought them that can cost them victory in this tournament. They are so used to fighting no rules power based death matches it had not occurd to them that weaker opponents can get them to lose this time around. All it takes is an out of bounce. Whole point of this episode.. I honestly don't understand how people miss this stuff. There is no messing with power levels here. Krilling didn't beat Gohan because of power, nor did he go toe to toe with blue Goku. He very clearly lost the kamehameha ''fight''. And Goku looked like he had not even started yet. He held back big time. Which he should, he doesn't want to kill his best friend I asume. I loved this episode. Finally Krillin gets some fun stuff to do again. I always loved how he was able to hold his own against much more powerfull enemies (One example of many: He was able to cut of Frieza's tail people..which was more damage then even vegeta had managed at the time. There are several other examples.) because of his more clever fighting. Krillin has always been a very skilled warrior. One can argue more skilled then Goku considering how Krillin managed to stay relevant in DBZ for a decent while despite the fact all the enemies where way out of his league. He had to compensate that lack of power somewhere. Skill. And finally in super we get to enjoy seeing fights that are about more then just who is the most powerfull. That has been boring for a long while now. We get it, goku Vegeta Gohan are all power beasts when they get their game on. I'm bored watching their fights. I look foreward to fights that are won with skill and strategies again. I hope the humans get to shine this tournament. It's a step in the right direction, I hope the show doesn't lose it. |

I understand Goku was just testing Krilin, to see if he had overcome his fears when confronting warriors leagues away from him and how suited he was for the tournament, but I don't know, Goku is now, and particularly in the SSB form, in a power level position so high that no matter how much he was holding back that kamehameha, for Krilin it would have still been simply impossible to push it back, not even for a second. It was just not believable at all. Anyway, I'm liking how the series has shifted in the last episodes from "The Goku & Vegeta Show" (which I think was a more honest title for the series until this arc), to a more integral show where the rest of the cast is being included and given credit and screentime once again, like the old Z times. This is well headed. |

HI Guys, I've been watching this episode over and over again and i would like to point out somethings that might have been missed. First, we have to remember that Krillin trained with Goku for a while on Roshi's island, and as we see back in the Golden Frieza ark what 4 months of taking the punches of a super-powered being like Frieza did to Tagoma. Second, I know that Goku going into SSJB and the kamehameha battle are a bit far-fetched but bear with me for a while. Goku goes in that form first, because he knew Krillin would not be satisfied otherwise and second. because there will be guys like that in the tournament that will be going seriously at him and he has to be prepared. Also, we have to acknowledge the fact that Toriyama has shown us time and time again that power levels are not so relevant at times, because a warrior's power level can dramatically increase depending on his emotions, like with the "That's my Bulma!" moment with Vegeta and Goku actually reaching the SSJ form because Krillin died. In this case Krillin was getting the support of his family and really wanted to give it his best in front of his kid and wife. That's why I think he managed to push so hard in the kamehameha battle. And of course Goku was not at full power as well. Eranime90 said: I'm amazed by how much your missing the point. Pretty much how i see it as well. |

Bad pacing as usual, but I shouldn't complain about it since I expect that already. Else I enjoyed seeing C-18, wished she would've fought a bit as well. |

Kuririn owned that guy. lol 18 won't work for nothing. Little does she know... she has no choice. lol Goku gotta resort to lying. What a villain he is. 18 enters for the 'money'. Gohan is testing Kuririn and wonders why Goku chose him. Easy. Because they go back all the way to DB. lol at Goku cheering on Gohan after Marron called him out. Dat Taiyo-ken. 100 times Taiyo-ken. Kuririn won. Goku letting his villain slip out as he watches Kuririn. Gohan acknowledges to Kuririn that he's trash. Satan building. 18 scared as shit for Kuririn. Even she senses the villain in Goku. lol at Goku's villain. Dat HD DB flashback featuring Goten as Goku. Goku had to go SSJ. lol Dat hole. Goku went back to normal then went into SSGSS, but at pre-Zence he was SSJ then went into SSGSS. Ka... me... ha... me.............. Ha!!! LMAO 18 had to kick Goku's shit out of there. Saa... koi! 17 works at an animal sanctuary. Ranger. 38 hours left. The fact that Kuririn pushed back a SSGSS Kamehameha. New ED is good. Boogie Back. |
If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have). |
