| Oh, lets do this. I think Johan might be one of the most boring, uninteresting, overhyped literary villain. I see nothing about him or the way he's presented to the viewer that's deserving more than a 3/10 at best, and he was definitely the weakest part of Monster as far as I'm concerned. In his usual disdain for action scenes (and/or love for off-screen "suspense"), and insistance on having Monster get adapted panel-by-panel, Urasawa forgot a very basic rule of visual story-telling: show, don't tell. And anime adaptations tend to go slower than the manga. Another writer with more than 2 narrative hacks could have make it work... maybe. Probably not for 64 eps. Urasawa, not a chance. By the middle of the show, I was quite tired of cartoon people stuttering Johan's name in fear every 5 minutes, telling me he was "super evil" and "a great manipulator". By the end of the 64th episode, I still had no idea why Johan was "super evil" or "a great manipulator", because I saw none of it. The show spent 64 eps telling me "that dude, really great villain" and I got none of it. He's not a credible candidate for "greatest anime villain ever" as lots of people portray him. He's barely a character at all. Dude has less screentime in 64 eps than most characters in one-cour show. I'm pretty sure anime fans hyping up Johan are payed by Urasawa to use the same tactic IRL he used in his manga to hype up his villain. I won't have any of this, Mr Urasawa. If someone wants a 10/10 human anime villain that is relatable and credible, go for Griffith. |

I remember hating Asuka the first time I watched Evangelion, but the second time I saw the show she became my favourite. Attack on Titan has a lot of bland and annoying characters — Levi, Gabi, Mikasa, Pieck, etc. Also agree with a lot of people saying Johan. I didn't hate him at all, but his reputation as one of the greatest antagonists is just not warranted. Friend in Urasawa's follow-up 20th Century Boys was a much better villain. Squilon said: Speedwagon. I have to believe that everyone loving him is a meme or something, because I genuinely couldn't stand the guy. Every time he opened his stupid mouth to start narrating the events we had literally just seen on screen, I felt like tearing my hair out. Jesus Christ, I hate him. This might be a symptom of the anime. I can't remember Speedwagon being that vexing in the manga. |

Daisuke Doujima  He's in an anime called Revisions, and this MF'r almost ruined the anime, because he alone was the only character that I wanted to have murdered first, because he was aggressively annoying. A bullet shoulda been put through his skull, so that way the grey matter could leak out the hole. Dr. Clown "Jack Pudding"  This guys an @$$h0l3, a real peace of work that deserves to get served. | - I have seen Hero academia uptill season 4 and I really hate Midoriya. Only in 1 movie I saw, was Midoriya what I want him to be -> A F leader and a genuine hero. Not a soft crybaby for F saké. When I saw the first episode of hero academia season 5, where all these classmates heroes get introduced AGAIN to the viewer... I ragequitted and sended season 5 straight to the drop list. What a slap in the face and an absolute waste of my time. How dare they present them all to the viewers again. What a disrespect, treating us like we all suffer dementia or something. It was season FIVE for gods saké! I'm really done with this 'show', if it wasn't for the fact it is 1 of the few shows I saw together with my brother. I would have dropped this ages ago. Season 6 can go to the moon (or soon to Mars), I ain't watching that sh!d ever again. - Subaru of Re Zero also really got on my nerves. What a cluster F of a simp he is. Wtf! o_O Emilia ain't even that great to justify all the suffering he's inflicting upon himself. LMAO - Lelouch... I don't understand what makes him so great for many people...
