Bell was still Level 3 when he fought Asterius. The reason he could fight him well enough is because Asterius was already half dead. In the LN Bell states that if Asterius was at full power he wouldnt last a minute. But, as for leveling up... beginning of season 4 spoiler.

Oh my bad, i thought he was already at lvl 4. Now it all makes sense, still, he fought well for his level.
Hope we will have another season! Thanks fam

In the end nothing really hurts as much as a honest and complete defeat.

The bright part was Bell reputation being somewhat fixed tho he doesn't like his loss, hopefully he will learn a thing or two from it.
He will hopefully learn that while he is slacking, having a slice-of-life time with cute girls, his opponents are training in the Dungeon.

That was a nicely animated fight. I was surprised Bell was tanky enough to survive being thrown around like that smashed through buildings and ground.

Was a solid third season overall. About the only thing I didn't like was cheap villain that was a bad guy for a sake of being a bad guy.

That was a bit... deprived ending. After that overboard final fight... and that series is full of them, but they mainly connect to Loki familia or other level 6 OP adventures... Dang. And even then. How agility barely any defense type as Bell could survive that? How that god damn minotaurus survived Hero's strike? I call biased on that. No no no. Finale was bad. Otherwise, I love danmachi in all forms, it's lovely series and they did good job with season 3, let's keep this going.

Dissapointing.

Bell sudden weak. Then bell sudden OP. Then sudden weak. Then sudden OP.

Wtf.. No only that, but this season he was like.. very useless. He could not win a single fight when most necessary. It was as if author-san wanted to sudden make him pathetic in fighting scenes. Okay... it´s not you usual OP mc and I apreciate that, to some extent. At least make him win ONCE a key fighiting scene.

Also, not into lolis tearing their wings and nails apart.

I have been enjoying DanMachi but even though I binge-watched this one it ended up not my like.

This finale felt very rushed to me. We had Hermes plot revealed, then it took over by Freya all the while Bell took on what should have been a really iconic fight.

It just never had the same impact as the original fight did. Bell crying about wanting to win felt shallow. I feel the fight could have been so much better if it was longer as bell both fought his old nemesis and his new confusion of his feelings on monsters and how he lost because he didn't see monsters the same way as he did then.

I am curious where the stories goes now, despite the whole 'I want to get stronger'. It's no longer just bell wanting to progress in the dungeon.

It was a decent season but again it jus didn't have the impact of the first for me.
Bell lost because he is level 3 while Asterius is level 6 minimum even should be approaching 7...as for episode being rushed, it's JC's fault for not adapting the LN properly. Also, if you talk about emotions..then if I have to rate emotions I felt while reading LN as 80/100 then in here it was like 20/100 when I watched the final episode.

Ahh well then I blame the adaptation. It really never demonstrated how much more powerful he was like in the first season. Bell has gotten much stronger since he beat the Minotaur but they never really explained the strength of Asterius.

I really should get to reading the LN.

It was defiantly better then the 2nd season but I couldn't get into the talking monsters. Idk I guess I wasn't really expecting it to go that way and it kind of through me for a loop right from the start.

I'm also disappointed we didn't get an update on his "Character sheet" even once this season. I really feel in love with this show in the first season and watching him chase a dream and working hard to get stronger and I wish it didn't take the whole season to get back to that point.

What a way to end the season 3, the ending was executed perfectly and it seems that the monster arc was already planned by the author from the beginning. Hermes's plan sure was a total fail from the moment Bell chose to get hit instead of dodging Kros's attack, and the fight between Bell and Asterius was intense but not as intense as the first fight they had imo.

And the author's decision to end the fight between Bell against Asterius was really smart, not just for Bell's character development but for the sake of common sense of the story too, it would be really weird and illogical if a level 3 like Bell won a fight against a level 5/6 (estimated) Minotaur.

I would give an overral score of 8/10, the beginning point was a bit boring tho, but after a half way they really put in efforts on the fight scenes and the story starts to really make sense. Also they really did a great job executing those emotional scenes, it really made me shed tears a lot.

It's like we're being trapped on some progressive shit every Danmachi season, now with the monsters are not bad at all agenda it feels like some muslims aren't bad at all, we should get those refugees in our countries.

Sarcasm and Satire aside, I'd be best to get into the novles at this point instead of hoping a fourth and probably finale

After the lackluster prequel that seemed to spend a whole lot of time accomplishing nothing at all, I didn't have particularly high hopes for this continuation.

Yet it turned out better than expected (after a shaky, overly rushed start) and actually manages to recapture some of the excitement/momentum present in the first season despite some pretty damn anti-climatic plot reveals and forced character behavior. This conclusion was pretty bad though and pretty much just reset developments rather than advance them.

As an aside: I'm not sure why anyone had a problem with the appearance of 'talking monsters' when they already showed up way back in Sword Orotoria.

Perhaps it's because I came in not expecting much, but I actually ended up liking this season a lot. To be fair, this entire season was kind of mediocre all the way till the last third or so. But the Wiene death/revival, Wiene vs. Ais scene, and Bell vs. Asterios scenes I think made the season worth it for me. The first two, in particular, I felt were quite moving. And having expected an ending with some sacrifices all this time, I was relieved when things turned out for the better.

Was the season rushed? Clearly. But it managed to get its points across at least.

I only have three bones to pick. First, I think Wiene's revival should've been better explained. Revival magic in any setting should be very costly and taboo because it's so rule-breaking, but here it just kind of happened.

Second, I'm not sure why Ouranos doesn't just tell the truth. Yes, prejudices will remain. But the conduct Ikeros familia engaged in should've been a perfect moment to generate sympathy for the Xenos. If Ouranos tells the truth, at least some people will begin trying to understand. But with things going back to the status quo, I feel like not much progress has been made other than some adventurers now being made aware of their existence...(On that note, I'd like to know if Ais and one of the sisters from Loki familia reported back and whether Finne really would kill the Xenos knowing all that.)

Third, I can't believe they just brushed over Hermes's little plot with a "comical" Hestia kick to the face in the end. If Hestia familia thinks Xenos are just like humans, which they do, Hermes just tried to kill a bunch of people to fulfill his own twisted sense of heroism. (Asufi certainly understood what she was doing was potentially beyond forgiving.) Even taking into account the fact that the gods always tend to be fickle and Hermes hasn't exactly always been acting in Bell's best interests, I still think they needed to do more to square this betrayal away and show us how Hestia familia accepted it. On Ouranos's end too.

All that said, here's looking forward to a 4th season and being able to see this series through till the end.

Overall I think this season was better than season 2. I enjoyed the last battle and I didn't mind him losing. He is getting stronger and I can't wait to see what will happen next. I am looking forward for season 4. Hopefully they will announce it in February.

No doubt, this one is the best eps of this entire series, imo. The fight scenes, as well as how the story progress, it's kinda felt amazing!

Despite being late watching this entire season, it's a relief that this franchise didn't end up worst like S2 did..

And I glad that the animations improved a lot than the previous seasons.

Overall, a great season :D

There is a famous slang from Indo that fit with this episode. "above god Hermes, there is still god Freya'' (Diatas Hermes masih ada Freya)

Last fight bring nostalgic but not aas intense as in the first season. Pretty chill show but this arc for the whole season focus on Wiene.

This season was average. But this last episode felt quite rushed. Like Loki familia which is most likely the strongest group were held up by Freya's familia from intervening? Yet they never showed what happened between them. And don't even get me started on how absurdly OP Asterius was just training on the higher levels. But thanks to Bell's plot armour he survived the whole life threatening ordeal with few scratches.

Honestly I also found the monsters being reincarnated as monsters with higher intelligence and power concept kind of stupid. I mean the writer could've just introduced a particular species of monsters with higher intelligence instead of the reincarnation thing.

The character of Weine was certainly interesting to watch. Disappointingly Bell has only grown a tiny bit yet personality wise he is still somewhat dumb, hesitant, immature and need reassurance even in the 3rd season. I also don't understand why do Bell and Hestia trust Hermes but are cautious of Freya who probably has the same or similar goal. It's just stupid that nobody even question his motives of putting Bell in danger and using him as a tool. Ouranos and Fels also used Bell and as usual he doesn't question them either. I guess he doesn't really care about putting his life, reputation and familia on the line.

I sincerely hope the writer develops Bell into a proper protagonist who applies logic and asks questions rather than just being a usable tool for others to exploit.

Horrible season 3 and the worst season finally I have ever seen in any Anime. Bell sucks a very bad character talks a bunch of crap but doesn't actually act on it. Let the person he supposed to protect die some one else had to save her and he lost the big battle he supposed to win at all cost. He is a terrible hero and should die let someone else take his spot to show him what a real hero is all about because he is not it

It had been awhile since Hermes showed his true self. He mostly comes off as mischievous but amicable. But he's very much self-centered and "suits-my-needs". I wonder how his character will be from here on out, aside from him acting like nothing happened and getting flying kicked by Hestia at the very end

Bell lit up white towards the latter part of his fight with the minotaur. I thought that was going to be some sort of power up. I guess not... (or will we learn about it until season 4?). The whole deal with the minotaur wanting to fight him is just odd, though. And so is that Freya guy training it. I forget if they explained what that was about back in season 1, but Idk what is going on there

Not sure what Hermes' girl was even trying to do in that large crowd with her spike things. She going to attack the crowd to make it look like it was actually the monsters or what? *shrug*

It was an ok season. Not as good as season 1 (season 2 wasn't as good as season 1 either). I liked season 1 because it was some weakling who was trying to fight monsters but wasn't very good at it. He had a babe goddess and was crushing on one of the greatest heroes of the city. We learned a lot about the mechanics of the dungeon, leveling up, and the special abilities on the adventurers' backs. But we lacked ALL of that this season. And, in large part, we lacked that in season 2, too

Is that one-winged girl supposed to be the dragon that was mentioned in some past episode? (I think it was the end of season 2, but maybe that was a non-canon episode. I can't recall off hand.) Otherwise I feel like that village that worshipped the dragon scales was pointless to even put in the overall story. Speaking of the story, is it actually headed somewhere? Like I've already said, it's lost focus from what it was in season 1. It's meandering. Season 1 = DUNGEON QUESTING. Season 2 = Prostitution. Season 3 = Talking monsters. Is there a point to any of this anymore?

I want to give this a 7/10. I know that might sound high given all my criticisms of the season, but I did "like" watching it for the most part. However, I'm not sure it doesn't deserve a 6/10. The actual quality of the season wasn't any worse than season 2, I don't think, but because we've continued to stray from the fun that was season 1, it might deserve additional deductions.

I'm kinda salty because it feels as though this entire season was a filler.
Absolutely nothing was achieved in terms of allowing Xenos any chance of hospitality on the surface, no real progress was made in accepting intelligent monsters either.

I can't say I'm exactly enamored with this anime but it's certainly looking more bleak with this one.

This does seem like a iiit foa let down since this anime started off as the average "level up to OP level" RPGish type of anime but w/ this season I like the change it made hope it goes somehwhere w/ it in the next season

I understand your observations, but I advise you and any other who thinks this season to be a filler to reconsider. Danmachi isn't an anime that starts a plot point and finishes them at the end of one season, some do, but others won't even be concluded in the next season, like Freya's interest in Bell, Zeus participation in the story, the one eyed dragon, etc. There is always foreshadowing and in this season in particular Bell's ambitions had gotten even more profound than just catching up to Aiz. He now has a personal antagonist, and has a new goal to introduce de Xenos to rest of the world. That was his promise to Wiene. We should give the story time to evolve.

That's hell of a fight Bell had this episode. It also shows how much he really has improved compared when he first appeared from season 1.

This franchise is still far from over so this season went on to develop more of Bell's personality along with some of the other characters' roles in the show. Felt kinda underwhelming imo. Maybe it's because I didn't like Wiene much. Anyways, this was an average season for me, definitely watchable but not great.

He improved so much that his Argonaut skill didn't help him to fight a one-handed minotaur.

You mean, a reincarnated minotaur, reborn much more intelligent than

Another one anime that was kinda entertaining but became a total mess with a nonsense premise. It's like an author decided to repeat Attack on Titan premise and thought that he can add some seriousness with a theme of prejudice and traditional hatred between alive beings but in the end it looks so stupid since there are locals which are no different from monsters themselves, I mean all these half-people and elfs look so close to "abominations" from a dungeon that it's obvious for everyone that the only difference is "animal fever" which is obviously isn't in a monster head if he speaks for example, there should be only humans in town for a story being adequate. Also it's like local Big Boss Uranus which is so influential and knows everything can't do nothing and just acts from shadows like some little conspirator from a back alley.
Also third season is so predictable, so heavily based on plot-armor, so full of clichés that I really don't see any reason for its existence except for money of course. It's nothing like a first season, author doesn't even care about his characters anymore, everything is a filler.

Is there any modern action or adventure anime left which is at least have adequate story and so its author isn't a spineless slug? For some reason I can't remember of anyone like that.

Best season by far and probably 1 of the best well animated and cool fights in all of anime.

But, the show continues to have really really boring flaws. People NEED to actually die, and I hope it ends up being Ais even though I know it won't. Ais is probably the most boring love interest for any MC in all of Anime. If not love interest, then person used as a plot device to motivate the MC.

This anime would be better if important characters died. The anime is clearly not all sunshine and rainbows anyways. No clue why they haven't went down this route or have yet. We have seen rape, monster trafficking, and prostitution. And maybe amongst other things, but we have yet to see a SINGLE important character around the MC die.

If Wiene died this season would've probably been an 8+ for most considering I think a lot of people find it incredibly stupid that she didn't die.

Also, I do find it kind of stupid that he isn't a higher level yet. It's been 3 seasons and he's not even close to the strength of Ais. If we keep going this route.. It's going to be what, another 3 seasons of this for him to reach her level? Which also wouldn't even make any sense, because by then she should be level 7+. Will this series even last to that point, what level is he in the Light Novel? Is it finished?

Someone here posted and I've already seen a lot of people say that Season 4 will be BY FAR the best season. So if it only gets better from here then that's good. Regardless of everything I said, this was still a step up from the previous seasons.
