No, in the first place, how was Denji even able to land a hit on Makima when she's that fast? And how comes Power's blood was able to stop Makima from regenerating? And how comes Makima doesn't just control Power and Kishibe? And what happened to Makima's gun power? Why didn't she just use it to blow up Denji? And how comes eating her isn't counted as an attack? There is nothing suggesting Makima is faster than Quanxi, she manages to behead her because Quanxi gave up fighting instantly in hopes of sparing her lovers but its not like Makima outspeeds her at any point. Furthermore there is a long string of possible questions regarding Quanxis speed, she only moves like that once in the whole manga which may imply those bursts of speed are far from being the way she is normally capable of moving. Or maybe that her speed is actually not that imposing to characters that arent fodder. Have in mind that Yoshida managed to fight on even terms and even hit her back, that Aki managed to defend Angel from her during her rampage even though his eye only sees a sliver into the future and that Denji and the other hybrids dont seem to be slower than her at all when transformed. |

And how comes Makima doesn't just control Power and Kishibe? And what happened to Makima's gun power? Why didn't she just use it to blow up Denji? And how comes eating her isn't counted as an attack? All your questions have already been answered in the manga, you should read the manga again, the answer to your first question You will find it in the first half of the manga, and in the last chapter, Denji mentioned when he was talking to Kishibe something he figured out from past knowledge and conversations with Makima, she perceives those around her through her sense of smell, she doesn't remember one face from another, anyone who interests her will only be remembered by their smell and she wasn't interested in denji, she was only interested in pochita (Chainsaw devil) and at that time Denji was separated from the pochita and was standing among the public safety personnel who had come with makima so she wasn't able to spot Denji because she can't remember his smell And the answer to your second question has been mentioned many times in the manga. Power is a blood devil whose true form is very powerful (appeared at the end of the manga) and is also able to control blood and influence even powerful demons. She was not able to defeat Makima, but her blood is able to influence. at the speed of its regeneration And the answer to your third question is that Makima is able to control beings weaker than her but strong people must defeat them first in order to be able to control them like Reze and Quanxi were able to control them and brainwash them after defeating them kishibe was one of the strongest Hunters and the Blood devil Power is so powerful in true form that she had to defeat them first to control them The answer to your fourth question is the same as the answer to your first question Because she couldn't see him or remember his smell And the answer to your fifth question was mentioned by Denji at the end of the manga because he did not consider it an attack, but rather love. |

I'm not sure what to think. The manga was pretty good until we got to the last third or so where it kinda fell apart. I feel like the story was very rushed in the end, and we didn't have much room for soaking in the events. |

I love the reincarnated Makima. She seems so sweet and pure. I'm glad Makima's dogs weren't abandoned and Denji took them in. Woof Woof! Anyway pretty good conclusion. |

I binged this is in two days and I loved it. Denji’s journey was really awesome and the bonds he made with people like Reze, Himeno, Aki, and Power were really touching. Makima was a monster and I am glad Denji put her to rest. Now he’s gonna be an adoptive dad to the reincarnation haha. I do wonder if the people that Makima gained control over will come back? The hybrids are immortal right? Would really love to see Reze come back and have her and Denji kick it off again…. Anyways this was a great way to cap it off. Part 2 Denji is basically gonna be a superhero which will be interesting. I am looking forward to it! 9/10 |

3 things pissed me off about this whole Makima arc: 1) It didn't end on episode 100. 2) It brushed through some very interesting topics far too quickly, and I am betting we'll have to wait for some Makima backstory spinoff in the distant future to fully understand what really was going on. 3) It confirmed the fears I had since first picking up this manga about the entirety of the modern shonen canon being nothing but different takes on Bleach. Other than that, it was cool I guess. The reason Denji won was fittingly heartbreaking, and handled much better in my opnion than Gunman's defeat. As the Tower of God fans say, I suppose this is where the prologue ends. |

Wow. WOW. Those last 26 chapters. I just couldn't stop reading until the end. That was such an emotional ride with lots of twists and turns even though I suspected like many others that Makima was the worst. The battles, the devil designs, the unpredictability after each chapter, and their endings threw so many curve balls that it formed a new shape. Laughs, tears, joy, sadness and emptiness, those words describe what has been reading this, and it was great. However, there were some aspects of the story that bugged me like how some of the powers worked, the way some characters' intentions weren't clear enough, and the overall ending to this first part. In my eyes, it was bittersweet as Makima was clearly an idealist obsessed with the Chainsaw Man and love had little to do with it. I do wonder what will happen in the next part considering almost none of the characters will make it in there (that seems to be the case at least). For now, I'm really looking forward to watching the anime adaptation. Please keep my hopes up. |

what a ride. finished this in 1.5 day and that was hella fun. i really enjoyed makima in the beginning until she turned into a griffith-like cunt (except with griffith, its alot more sympathetic). then kishibe became the realest n-word (nigga) and probably my favorite character i think. aki death was sad. powers idc about that much but its hinted she will come back. suprised basically only him and kobeni were the only ones to survive. overall, 9/10. this was solid. loved how straightforward the mc was and the subversion of typical shounen shit was fun af. lookin forward to part 2 |

Saw the anime adaptation announcement so thought might as well check it out. Decent manga, but not much more than that. Still not getting why is it such hyped, so much random stuff all the time and i really don't like some stuff happening out of nowhere. Read it in couple of days and i think it's the biggest plus as chapters are so short. The ending felt also very random. At one point i was thinking Makima wasnts to control Chainsaw man, so why going through all the effort and not just kill Denji and take the heart. Also seeing these last chapters just simple question come to mind what was even the point of first 70 chapters, why there was a gun devil, what was the point of Aki as character?! I mean, yeah, he was leading Denji in the beginning, but it feels like he could just be a character for 20 chapters and have the same impact aka 0. Also never liked when author uses some kind of trick to always revive his/her characters, feels really cheap and most of the time just breaks the flow of the story. Overall 6/10, enjoyed the read, but it was still decent at best. Still interested in continuation. Kobeni best character =/ Also her car! |

Finished Chainsaw Man a few days ago, figured I should comment on the last chapter. Didn't really care much for this last arc tbh, there was a lot of action that honestly didn't leave much of an impact on me, and was kind of just boring. Only like four days removed, the only bits I can remember is Chainsaw Man throwing his heart to escape space (which was awesome) or Denji's final strike (his explanation here that she never saw him was heartbreaking lol). Despite not caring for most of this final arc, I do like a lot of the ending notes, Denji cannibalizing Makima is twisted & hilarious as an ending, and raising the new Control Devil is interesting. and the whole "lots of hugs" ending with Pochita was the perfect ending to this series. If that panel was followed up with by "The End", I would've been satisfied. But nope, another page revealing there's more to come and this was just part one. That's pretty wild to me. I'll probably read it but it feels rather unnecessary to me. This is like continuing Supernatural after Season 5, everything's been wrapped up. Regardless, Part 1 as a whole was still pretty strong. Didn't care much for the final arc or the Bat Devil arc, but the rest where all pretty strong. Bomb Girl arc-Gun Devil arc was definitely the series peak, with that middle bit, the International Assassins probably being the strongest arc in the series, albeit Hayakawa vs. Denji was the emotional high point of the series. The artwork was consistently excellent throughout. Most of the characters were rather strong, Power's the only one of the top of my head that I actively disliked for the majority of the series (Denji had his moments in the Bat Devil arc), and I honestly kind of like how quickly characters would drop like flies. Glad most series don't just kill everyone off with the readiness that Chainsaw Man does, but is sort of refreshing after seeing how many series are unwilling to kill of most. I think a big part of why it works is that Chainsaw Man (until like the very end) doesn't really let those deaths weigh the series down. Not that it doesn't treat deaths as deaths, but for as deadly as the series gets, it also maintains it's over-the-top silliness & hype action. I would argue for the most part Himeno & Hayakawa's are the only deaths that truly landed with emotional weight (maybe Power's for the shock factor) but I think both Himeno & Hayakawa's were handled really well. Overall, 8/10. Side note, I read all this to the Jujutsu Kaisen OST and it meshed perfectly, I really hope Chainsaw Man gets a similarly quality OST. |

I was loving the ride...until the last few chapters. It got kinda boring near the end and the resolution to the final arc was disappointing. The manga seemed really fresh until the last arc. And I also detest how the "next season" will probably have a kid Control Demon. I already disliked Power, and now there's literally going to be a child following Denji around. Sigh. I still thought it was pretty good overall (like a 8/10), but it could have been better if the last arc wasn't so meh and the future didn't look so uninteresting. |

Hang on, part one? So there's gonna be a part two to this? Honestly if that's the case I'm glad, I loved reading this manga. Definitely did not expect the control devil to be a kid. And Denji's in school now? Also he never fulfilled his contract/promise to Power that he'd find the blood devil and befriend her to bring Power back. Maybe that's the main goal for part two? |

too tranquil for a Chainsaw Man chapter but it was ok, Denji is living the good life now, the new Control devil makes no sense for me because I thought that once a devil is eaten by Chainsaw he disappears, maybe now it's different. I kinda wanting a more depressing ending but Denji needs love too, he went through a lot, now's the time to get 10 girlfriends and have plenty of sex, part 2 should be interesting. |

I WAS REALLY REALLY UPSET ABOUT THIS ,WHEN WE FINALLY GOT A PERFECT character LIKE MAKIMA SHE DIED SIMPLE WAY She just died all of a sudden, when she wasn't paying attention ,AT LEAST YOU CAN KILL HER LATER LIKE IN THE FINAL BATTLE OR STH, ALSO I don't think DENJI is that great, he's a flat, boring character, aimless, with little purpose. Should we sacrifice a great character like MAKIMA for someone like Denji? Maybe because of the hero's sad past, people pity him, but honestly let's say for once that , I didn't like the hero himself. Unfortunately, I no longer had the motivation to continue the novel after I got so excited to see a character like Makima, man, she's deep and distinguished, I thought their relationship would continue until Makima takes the heart of Dngi, who is the devil dog, and her dreams come true. I would be glad to see more of her.not more of denji |

Well, I think makima isn’t that evil. Sure she is cruel and manipulative, but in the end of manga, pochita told denji that what makima want was just someone who is equal to her. She did want a family, but no one could give it to her. Maybe she wanted denji/csm to be that person, but denji stupidly say that he want to be her dog. Maybe the story will be different if denji told makima that he love her and want to be her lover instead of her dog. This is just my theory though, but I’m sure it makes sense. Makima is evil, Agreed. But she deserved better. |

Midsaw Man. Quite entertaining and fun read, but that's all. Plot, even if the premise was interesting, was extremely basic, same as characters. Some would say that it's about gore and action. True, action scenes were nicely drawn and very dynamic, but as for gore, it was pretty mediocre if compared to other titles to our that kind of elements. |

I watched the Anime Trailers that came out and decided to give the Manga a go. The Chainsaw Man Manga, was Insane!!! So many emotions, well written and drawn. The coolest of characters, even if they Perish they remain and leave a mark within ours and other hearts. I can't wait to read Arc 2 nor to see how this turns out in Anime form! However, after reading the manga, the 2 Trailers for the Anime hit totally different. |

A great read. It was amazing. Can't wait for the anime and the 2nd part. Easily 8/10. Leaning close to a 9 but 8 is fine. My only problem is that the characters were killed too fast for me to get attached to any of them. And Reze, Quanxi and the other hybrids are immortal, right? And since Makima is dead, they are not under her control now. So, I hope Reze comes back for Part 2. She can finally go to school with Denji. |

I loved it! It was a pretty fun read from start to end, I loved the characters, fantastic antagonist, awesome art style and full of bold segments. I'm just not a fan of publishing something as "finished" and then, at the very end, reveal there's more to it, but it seems to have become a trend lately (Attack on Titan "Final" season and Money Heist TV show comes to mind). But at least, here, the story pretty much comes to an entire conclusion, with just one exception* that comes to mind. *The exception being the contract between Denji and Power, in which he promised to search for the new Blood Devil and bring her back. Since I really liked it, I will most certainly read part 2 as well when it comes out! I also hope to see Power coming back. |

Well that was quite a fun manga. The ending did feel a bit off... Maybe rushed? I wonder if the author had it all planned out from the start. Feels like dropped some ideas and made up an ending to wrap everything up (except Kobeni). |

After the fire punch I thought there might be something interesting we can expect from the author in the future... But I guess it was simply a lucky break back then.. guess I should just take it as a fact that it's simply impossible to make a serious shonen that will be remotely perfect with all the genre limitations. Was a pretty shallow story overall despite that, even below my worst possible expectations. Most interesting concepts get thrown out of the window the moment they are introduced, most characters are something you don't really get to care about at all before they die... and even characters that get more time feel like tropes/objects instead of actual characters. Is still pretty unique in it's designs, which does add some fun factor. Reminds me of Dorohedoro, which was also carried by similar positives and has pretty much similar downsides. But I would say it's downright inferior copy of it. But overall a very weak 7/10, don't really see much point in it getting an extra part, would be better for author to gamble on still being able to make something decent instead. |
