Obviously elitist anime like LoGH,Kaiba,Tatami Galaxy, old anime need audience to have high iq.

Did you know that if you tell your teacher/lecturer that you like LoGH, your teacher/lecturer will give you grade A in your test even when you don't do the test?

Baccano!
I've just begun rewatching it, yet it's still mind boggling. There is about 50 plotlines and characters out of chronological order.
It takes serious memorization and information process skills to get what the f*ck is going on.

there is no such thing,High IQ is for other things to understand .some anime need maybe an average IQ to understand the full details of the show like :
-Steins Gate
-No Game No Life(Maybe)

Or to understand the joke :
-Shimoneta
-Gintama

I think you need a high IQ to understand Ghost In The Shell: 2nd GIG, anything from that franchise. I also think a fair amount of intelligence is needed for Stein's Gate, the Monogatari franchise (Due to the fast rate of speech combined with large words) and of course Neon Genesis Evangelion.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I know this is probably a shitpost but I do think there are types of shows that require more of an unbiased side/more empathy for stories or characters. But not everyone likes shows that encourage the viewers to challenge their own beliefs or world views and that's okay. It's also okay to enjoy those types of shows, but if you're a prick about it and thinks it makes you more intelligent then ya gotta Stop. Ultimately anime is for entertainment.

Obviously Rick and Morty is the anime you need the highest IQ to enjoy. For example the phrase wubbalubadubdub, can't simply be understood by low IQ plebs.

You may need to be educated on some specific topics to understand the full extent of a show's themes but that has nothing to do with IQ. If you want to understand hidden or intricate meanings of certain anime just read the stuff that people with a higher education on that matter write, or read the sources and references yourself.

If we are talking about all these dementia shorts... most of them rely primarily on eliciting a reaction in the audience through their imagery. It's not like they don't have a meaning, but it is left for interpretation and sometimes it may not even have an intended one.
yep i completely agree with you IQ has nothing to do with watching an anime, it's all about how much knowledge you have on that topic and secondly how is your concentration power

Wait, are you actually serious about this? You actually need a "high IQ" to be able to understand anime?
I've watched a lot of anime (psychological too, I quite love this genre) and there wasn't any that was hard to understand. The only problem I have with psychological anime is the way they try to send a message. I mean, there are some anime that either do it poorly or they stretch it too much, or they fail to captivate your attention and several other reasons.

Anime is a medium that intentionally MADE to be easy to understand to attract as many audience as possible, so 99% are made to be easy to understand
Even Steins Gate is just a novice level of time travel theory so the audience can easily grasp the concept without needing to understand physic and science.

The only one that I find it slightly confusing is Ghost in the Shell just cuz those sci-fi terms are too specific.

Yeah people seem to not understand Juuni Taisen. If you go in expecting a battle royale intense action anime with extended fight scenes (and refuse to adapt to accept anything else), then you'd find Juuni Taisen extremely bad.

But even then, Juuni Taisen wasn't that great. Decent show, but nothing special.
If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.
