Oh geez. -_-

I was really impressed by Shonen Bat, and by being a demon who crushes everyone's heads, and then he's captured by a stoned and corrupted policeman.

Im thinking Shouned Bat isnt the main character but instead the victims are. Although now that Shounen Bat has been caught i hope it doesnt get boring on me.

Great episode, once again.
This dude was damn annoying and disgusting but I felt kind of sorry for him. His situation was a dead end and he couldn't do anything else than imagining that all his robbery and stuff were acts of heroism like saving a woman from kidnapper and stuff like this.
The contrast between his delusions and reality was 'hugh' but then again it shows how someone can switch into delirium.
A criminal that try to convince himself that he's a hero and I'm not even sure that he has a daughter and a wife.

The end was very, very unexpected, I'd never thought that he would survive from the Shounen Bat, I thought this episode would follow the same schem as the others episodes. What a plot twist...

okay very unexpected with lil'slugger getting caught so early on, but something tells me its not going to be that easy, im starting to wonder whether he actually exists, or if he's more than one person im not sure, I have a lot of theories, but need to keep watching to see if any of them are correct xD

Lil Slugger getting caught, like many of you have said, shouldn't have been that easy. There's got to be more than this.

What a brutal way of arresting him... dang, 'dem kicks.

What the fuck did I just witness? LOL

Forget Shonen Bat getting caught (because its only episode 4), I'm more surprised about how that dude was able to tank that steel bat to the face! Though I'm not going to lie, I laughed so hard when Shonen Bat was getting owned.

kinda glad that shonen bat got caught. each episode untill now has had a pattern so I'm glad to see its not sticking to that right untill 2 episodes before the end and explaining everything then, like many anime shows seem to do. Great episode!

Did they imply that the corrupt cop raped the families daughter while he was robbing them? Just so he could have money to pay back his partying debts to the mob? What a loser.

So this fat guy is a corrupt cop who steals money from a family and takes them hostage, then rapes the daughter? What a sick bastard. And on top of that, he owned lil slugger lmao. Was not expecting that fat ass to own him that easily. Hopefully it was a fake and the real one is still out there. Onto the next episode!

I thought it'd be just like the other instances, but I died laughing when the police officer/pimp helper dude got up and started yelling at Shounen Bat. XD and then the shoe, just too funny!

Great episode, and refreshingly unexpected. This is genuine, great shock value. I doubt catching the suspect will be this easy though!

Damn, this was unexpected. I was sure the Shonen Bat was not real, but a projection of their unconsciousness, the "agent" of their paranoia. Since all the characters were anxious and under heavy pressure, I assumed the kid was their way of escaping harsh reality and coping with stress. But then he gets caught and his ass kicked. I guess in next episode he won't be real or something, otherwise I've no idea where this series is going :D

Entertaining episode but probably the weakest so far. While every episode had characters that were at least somewhat likable(yes even that little brat in episode 2) this featured probably one of the least likable man I've ever seen in an anime. It's like they took the sleazy detective from earlier and cranked him up to 11. You feel a bit bad for him when he's getting burned by cigarettes but he does nothing but immoral things all episode and never has any time to show that he's some sort of tortured soul or has any sense of regret, he revels in his misdeeds and has no sympathy for anyone he has to hurt to be happy.

I did like him in the end though, not because of his character but because of the spin they put on Shonen Bat. They had it set up like he would come in as soon as our character needed an escape from their situation which in this case would be serious physical and mental injury along with long term hospital care or death. Then they flip it on us with his surreal recovery after getting hit by a bat and his pin point accuracy of a throw to knock down Shonen Bat long enough for him to stomp him into submission. The whole scene screams that this is not reality and given how much this show treads the line between reality and delusion it just makes me more certain of it. I can't wait to see how this all works out though, I hope it has a method to it's madness and that Shonen Bat is a bit more than just a criminal or a simple delusion used by these mentally ill people to cope with their situations.

I have a feeling we won't get to see the interview with the police and bat just as we had to see an entire episode setting up who caught him and how. Hell I expect the whole next episode to just be some focus on Bat's character and be the most trippy episode yet with him getting himself caught at the end setting up the actual interview that they mention at the end of this episode.

I did not see that coming. It was kind of hilarious when it happened, though. The kid has a big grin on his face, and then he's like, "Wait, wtf?" XD
Is it bad that I was hoping he'd be on the loose for a while longer? I mean, come on, it's episode four. Worst of all, the kid was caught by that crooked cop.
I wonder if the supernatural part of this anime will come in anytime soon. Or perhaps it already has.

So it seems the mental health issue/theme is the conneciton between shonen bats' victims. The cop was a pedophile/pedophiliac tendencies (assuming he had sex with the underage girl) and had drug/stress-induced psychosis. Can't believe Shonen Bat was caught by the pedo-pig (see what I did there, since he's a cop :D?).

That was insane! In one scene, Shonen Bat went from a mysterious, almost super-natural terror, to a normal kid. That sure didn't go the way I thought it was gonna go. And it's only episode 4.

This show just keeps getting better. Fuck.

Metaphor time. Policeman's delusion of him being a good man was represented through the manga. He himself knew it was never quite completed but he was trying to complete his image of himself as seen with his dream house as a metaphor for his standing as a good man under construction. That construction was threatened by the yakuza as they forced him to rob innocent people conflicting with his desired image to be a good husband and policeman. He's not a complete psychopath though as he shows remorse by the end asking someone to stop him (free him) from his delusion. As long as he continues to think he still needs to uphod the "good man" image, he won't be able to admit to his crimes.

Cue Shounen Bat who gets owned immediately thanks to drugsies. My poor child ;~;

So this mission wasn't carried out and policeman gets to live with his delusion even longer. Sad for him.

EDIT: Old man wasn't drawing anywhere this episode. More proof fat man wasn't cured.

I really didn't expect Bat Shounen to get caught. He was skating away all smooth-like and turned around to admire his handiwork only to get blindsided by the fat cop. He must have been on some strong drugs to shrug off that bat to the head...PCP maybe?
