Gah, I hate it when Eureka and Renton are so out of sync and fight all the time. This 'to be continued' didn't sound as cheerful as it did before either.

Maybe the place they're stranded on is a future Earth? Talho said 'ancient forest of the past' so maybe it's an Earth in the past. That wouldn't explain the thing with the ring though.

Right when I'm starting to like Renton he gives me another reason to feel annoyed by him. I don't hate his character, but he can be really irritating sometimes. He's not going to solve any problems being critical of Eureka. The only thing they can do is work together to find the answers they are searching for.

Earth eh? So what's the name of the planet Renton was originally on and why'd the humans leave Earth? Looking forward to some exposition in future eps.

Also, I wonder if the markings on Eureka's arm means she's getting Despair sickness.

Continue to love the character of Renton, true to what a 14 year old should be. The characters in this series and their struggles continue to impress me. It looks like shit is going to start to get real again, can't wait.

it sucks that those two are fighting, and can't figure out what to do here on earth.
(and im pretty sure they did land in japan.)

Also, Didn't that ring in the stone say R&E for (Renton & Eureka)?

Interestingly- the ring that Renton was looking at said R and C (Ray and Charles Beams). So looks like Ray and Charles went through the same thing that Renton and Eureka are going through right now. That ring can't just be a wedding ring- they wouldn't focus on it like they did otherwise.

This chapter was strange. Didn't feel like E7 at all. I mean, what was going on with Dewey's speech? Nobles? Gekko fighting in space? Not to mention Eureka and Renton being stranded with those annoying kids in what seems to be earth.

Maybe it is just that I'm too old now, but Renton annoys me because I feel like he doesn't act at all like a person really would. Teenage boys love to kick the girls when they are down? I understand he is frustrated and is looking for someone to tell him what to do, but it is just getting old at this point. Tell him what to do, he gets pissed or moody. Don't tell him what to do, he takes his frustrations out on Eureka.

...yeah, actually. Now that I think about it that IS exactly like a 14 year old kid is like. But it doesn't mean I like watching it (especially in how this anime likes dragging it out).

It's not surprising Renton and Eureka are fighting. It's stressful for both of them, they have a friggin' world to save and they don't know what to do. Considering that Renton is a teenager AND expected Eureka to know what they have to do after the talk with Sakuya, yeah, I'm not surprised he takes his frustrations out on Eureka. And then again, Eureka must be even more stressed out because of the changes that are happening to her.

Gulliver breaking the bed = win.

Also the best party scene in the anime ever. With Dewey's backstory which was interesting, too~

Eureka is turning into compac drive gel. Not good.

Dewey trying to become a more interesting villain, but too little too late I guess. That stuff about kings and rituals is a bit confusing all of a sudden, but if the sacrificial king is just someone who makes a big change in human history happen and the real king is someone who comes after him and helps mankind adapt to the new world, it makes sense quickly.

In most traditions the sacrifice king is the one who is sacrificed, not the one who does the sacrificing, and the ritual is considerably more public. That aside, the music and ballroom dancing were well synchronized with the space combat. I'm wondering if Dewey's plan was to bring in the anti-bodies to eliminate both the royal and army leadership (and Anemone) and Holland spoiled it by shooting down the missle launching vehicles?

Meanwhile back on Earth, Renton and Eureka continue to have their troubles...

This episode was kinda weird if you ask me. It has an odd sort of vibe about it... The closer we get to the end, the more confused I get.

And what's up with Renton and Eureka fighting at a time like that? Well, it's to be expected I guess, since they're pretty much at a loss right now, but still. Take a chill pill and try to talk things over instead of just assuming that the other should know exactly what to do.

That ball was nice. If it weren't for the quite distinct face, you could totally forget who she was. She always was wearing a dress, sure, but not an elegant one like that, and her behaviour..

Dewey was weird, too. Where did they aim the orange at? It felt like he would wait for them to impact, so everything would come to an end - the nobles, the military and him, as the sacrifal king. Would be a surprising ending. I don't think thats what he actually planned, but it felt like it during his speech and stuff. Holland and the Gekko spoiled it anyways.

Renton and Eureka..well, Renton is blaming Eureka, which ain't nice, but what about Eureka? She actually did the exact same thing to him - and then they turned both around and Eureka left. I wouldn't call that helping, either.

The kids everyone hates all the time are actually the ones who are most helpful , they found both the book and the ring.

Most annoying thing is though that Renton and Eureka are out of synch that much because they can't do anything, even though they could do everything if they were in synch. A seven swell produces quite a lot trapars..

Looks like Earth doesn't have the same atmosphere as their planet. Nivarsh runs off of trappers thats why it never needed to charge or have fuel put into it. Eureka is a coralian so she probably can't survive long on Earth. I'm assuming that when humans made the jump to the new planet they abandoned the technology that got them in trouble in the first place. Though I'm confused how they have laptops 10,000 years in the future and no smartphones. Also they have spaceships but they haven't been able to physically travel back to Earth. The planet must be at least a dozen light years away from Earth.

The spaceships/airships probably aren't capable of deep space travel/warp speed so interplanetary travel is not really a good idea. I'm not sure about Dewey's backstory...Holland was the one with the "king" birthmark so he was supposed to kill his father to succeed him and rule with the nobles? Weird ritual. In the end I guess even the villain was trying to establish his path/legacy like the heroes. And where the heck did HOlland get that new mech

Okay I may seem dumb for asking this but let me ask these questions:

-I thought this whole time they live'ed on a post-apocalyptic earth, but they were on another planet?

-is there an ocean in the planet where they live in?

-what does LFO and KLF stand for I actually don't know?

-How much time has passed since lets say us present to their time?

Well not all 14 year olds act the same. That being said, Renton is an annoyingly immature for a 14 year old. At least I didn't know anyone who acts this way around that age. They're in a tough situation and all he can do is be pissed at Eureka? Hello? You're not doing much either. And as for Eureka, I'll let it slide since she's not really human anyways. Before she had all these human emotions, she probably would've been able to calmly assess the situation, but too bad she didn't stay that way.

And Dominic :( Can't believe Anemone bit him =_= I don't get what he sees in her, he's too nice for his own good. But at least Gulliver seems to like him. Man that creature is so heavy that it's denting the bed...

So many things in one go I can't keep up.

They went into the zone and reach the promised land.. it seems to be earth.. under their planet ?
The ring.. what's that suppose to mean ? Past.. future ? (R&E is very obvious)

But Eureka is acting strange since arriving there.. she's definitely hiding something.. probably.
I think Renton is actually acting like how anyone would in that situation. Either way things are looking bad for them.

But still hooray !! congrats to Dominic for the kiss. Anemone is still weird.. she likes Dewey ? or maybe Dominic ?

The suspense is killing me now.

This episode should have been renamed : ''I don't know'' becaude they don't know a goddamn thing and neither do I. Where the hell have they landed? They really landed on the Earth?! What is the Zone then? A portal to the Earth? Or are they really under their planet? The problem is that clear blue sky, which require the sun.

But the thing that bother me the most is that ring. R&E is clearly for Renton and Eureka, there's no doubt about that. But on Renton ring, it is written R&C. Is that a parralel universe? Or could they even be in the future..? The word future was used a lot to describe the Zone. I don't know, I feel like there is somekind of loop hole behind this. Eureka is also having physical reaction now that she entered the zone. Time paradoxes?

Has Anemone finally realised how creepy Dewey is? Man, that dude creep me out. Also, Dominic, don't try to take advantage of a girl who is in a weak period, especially if she have a strong temper (aka the tsundere).

The ring Renton has is Charles'. R&C stands for Ray and Charles. I think they wanted us to understand they found a wedding ring on the beach. It IS ancient, since they supposedly left Earth 10000 years ago.
Also they probably don't have smartphones because.... the authors didn't know any better XD In 2005 smartphones weren't a huge thing after all.
But now that I think about it, they don't even have classic mobile phones. I guess it's a choice then.

I thought they were on Earth the entire time, but the promised land is Earth! What the actual f?

And yes, I noticed on the ring encased in amber it was a C but looked like an E on the one he held, but the R was the same lettering so ... yeah, had he been there before somehow?

If the show is set in 2005, how did they leave Earth 10,000 years ago? that many years hadn't even passed. But Moondoggie's pilot license in the previous episode said he was born in 1988 and it was now 2005. So, I thought it was in the future but it didn't seem to be but now I am confused.

Of course they don't have smartphones as they didn't exist in 2005 and no one had obviously thought of that tech until it was invented basically. In 2005, we still had mobiles that only just got cameras, I know I had one that year and it was one of the first with a camera, that and texting ... back then you could use net on a phone but barely anyone did, I didn't. The thing clearfy about this episode after watching eureka seven ao series. Now here what i think
The eureka and ranton landed on present earth and about the encased ring in the amber is from 10000 years from past. I think they all landed on the iwatava island where eureka was send whith her son ao in its seems she is wearing the same ring as ranton has at that time he had us it as the weding ring on his wedding n gave it to eureka n she some how lost it on that beach 10000 years ago n then they landed on the same spot after 10000 years found it mistory solved
