| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nothing much this episode but a lot of setup for what's to come. Hildegard looks to have come to a conclusion she won't sit idly by anymore. I'm hoping to see more of that headstrong resolve she exibited when she first showed up. How effective she'll be looks to be a toss up. Things don't look too good with Yang away from Iserlohn. |

| I'd be shocked and delighted if Siegfried came back, but there comes the problem of him returning without the same memories as the previous one. As much as I would like for that to happen, unfortunately I would have to say no to that idea. Aside from that, it's good to know that Mecklinger is quite the talented individual and that Hilde will become more proactive in the future. |

| It's almost as if Reinhard is going down a path of certain ruin. I don't know if that is the original intent, but it really does seem like he is being set up to be a tragic hero, and even if he does fulfill his goal, he will be filled with regret. |

| Poor Reinhard still misses Siegreid :( Looks like the Allaince's martest man is going to be away while Iserlohn is being invaded. If the emipre takes Iserlohn it's pretty much over for the Alliance. |

| So much bittersweet in 1 episode. People die easily in time like this. And Reinhard still struggle to get to grip with what happened on Siege. The lady who aid Reinhard is planning something. |

| I just noticed that Hildegard is actually very adorable in her reactions ^_^ Katsuki Masako and Horikawa Ryo as seiyuu for Hildegard and Reinhard are also doing a great job at conveying their characters' emotions, I love them! Also, Hilde seems to be rooting for Reinhard really hard, I hope she will become another light for him, because it looks like he is on the verge of falling into abyss with statements like "No matter what I do, I'll take the universe". P.S. I need more Oberstein, I guess he is not so active because there's no more light that can cast a shadow... RIP Kircheis |

| 2021 Rewatch Mecklinger is quite the Polymath. Painting of Cao Cao (one of the, but not the only) basis for Reinhard. Kesserling stirring up stuff again, Schumacher still seems reluctant but has come along with the scheme. Yang being away from Iserlohn for an inquiry (not a court martial)... Reinhard returns to the very room in Geiersburg Fortress (now operational) where Kircheis tragically died. Lost something so valuable, only the universe can fill the void left behind. |

| dunno if it's me, but since season 2 started the pace become much slower. i remember season 1 episode were much more eventful. i love though how compare to season 1 which took course of 1 episode for every side, in this season the sides are mixing in each episode. i love how hildelga worried for reinhard sake, specially that it seems that kircheis's missing effecting his judgment. SolidArthur said: there isn't much of war in this part of time, the alliance doesn't have enough forces to invade the empire, and the empire have the upper hand. why to force war?can somebody explain to me why this dispatch is bad?? i mean iserholn will be retaken with that the alliance will surely fall so why is it bad? it is implied by reinhard and hildelga discussion about having enemy to form the people. reinhard doesn't need this dispatch to win the war, but for political issue. |
| More set-up. Death flags for the old Admiral as well. The timings couldn't be worse for Yang Wengli though |

| A lot of foreshadowing in the episode, something tells me things won't go too good Kircheis just keeps being reminded and I'm glad he is, because things couldve been better for both Logenheim and whole empire with him being around in these dark times |
