Jesus Christ, they're really not messing around with the return of Fire Force. Right off the bat, it looked like hell was unleashed again but it was only a few segments.

The goofiness and fan service are also back LOL. What a start. Shinra is literally fired up as always and the rest of the main crew is back. They had some character reintroductions since it's been awhile Fire Force came back on TV. But I'm very happy it's back again..the vibe is still very familiar. This season will probably feature a lot of White-Clad again. Haumea is already here and they got work to do.

FIVE years later, and the dreaded has happened... Fire Force Season 3. TBH, I'm conflicted when it comes to this series. On one hand, I semi-enjoyed the first season, as it was just passable shounen slop that could still be enjoyed. Season two on the other hand... man. A downgrade on so many fronts that's forever left a horrible taste in my mouth when it came to series....

.. Is what I would say if it wasn't for manga readers gassing up this final arc like it's a godsend or something. So I'll try and go into this season with a positive outlook. Kick back up right where we left off with the White Clads doing their thing... yeah, don't ask me what their thing is, what that is, is nothing more than a mystery. But back to the main city, where we see our main gang finally after so long.

With yes, THANK GOD, giving us a recap unlike another certain series that aired yesterday. And would you know it, it's a pretty unique recap, with us going back at forth from the main gang training, with some actual good animation again... season two wishes. But yeah, seems like the main plot this time around is our typical shounen recue arc, with our boy Obi here getting captured by none other than the Imperial Army... and the WHITE CLADS?!??!!

Anyways, that ain't important right now, what's more important is to be blessed with everyone's favorite TAMAKI FANSERVICE NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES IN!!!! This show has no shame. Back to the ACTUAL plot though, where yeah, seems that everyone's just got peas for brains in the verse, BECAUSE WHY THE FUCK are we allying with the White Clad... though, that question is quickly answered as Haumea proceeds to use her ultimate power that she's probably used on everyone so far... gaslighting..!!!

As we can see she wastes no time in gaslighting our dude Burns into believe all that bs she was spouting... and bro falls to his knees. Yeah, that brother is GONE. Back to Company 8 though, and yeah, if it wasn't already apparent who was going to rescue Obi, well, it's more than apparent now, it's Company 8 ofc. The whole of Company 8 for once, not just a couple cherry picked. The whole gang is here to rescue our boy!

I won't lie, even though there was no action this episode, this was one banger of a setup episode. Hate to say it, but great fucking return. This might redeem itself from whatever the hell season two was.

And yes, as per usual, the OP is a banger... and for once the ED is a banger... unlike those last two.

After almost 5 years, mangaka Atsushi Ohkubo's En'en no Shouboutai a.k.a Fire Force IS FINALLY BACK in David Productions' full force, and for the very last time on the small screen for its split-cour season finale run.

Shinra Kusakabe and Special Fire Force Company No. 8 are FINALLY BACK ABOUT TIME, and the momentary recaps of the events from both Season 1 and 2 against the White Clads, has made significant progress. But for Company No. 8's head of Obi Akitaru to be accused as a suspect in front of the White Clad and arrested by the Imperial Army, what the hell is going on?

As expected, both Shinra and Arthur are always at loggerheads, as is Tamaki always being the lecher fanservice girl, and Maki is the same gorilla girl we know and love, alongside the calm and collected Sister Iris. But the call to unite all Fire Force companies, and to think that in the holy church of Curia, the Holy Sol Temple being in cahoots with the White Clad having the Adolla Link, Company 1's Captain Leonard Burns and Karim against the Talking Head of Haumea to want to recreate the Great Cataclysm on Earth becoming its new Sun God, he's duly converted with the loyalty.

Company No. 8 hearing from Lieutenant Hinawa that Captain Obi has been arrested in order to spite out Shinra and his Adolla Burst, everyone will not stand for Hinawa taking the rap for the fall as traitors against the Empire. As is Inspector Licht knowing that No. 8 is well deep into the heart of the matter of the effects of human combustion, and making enemies of both Companies No. 1 and 2, who are closely related to the Tokyo Empire.

The White Clad are one step closer to achieving their goal, and Leonard Burns is only one part of that catalyst.

Queen Bee's OP hits a lot different from past seasons' OPs, it feels like it fits as an ED song more than an OP. UmedaCypher's ED just feels OK at best.

For a split-cour season finale, the only concern is pacing if the anime can adapt the manga to completion, which the hope is still there.

It’s been some time, but man the visuals look super neat as ever. I mean I’m glad that david pro didn’t leave this midway, as you know it does happen when you get a gap of around five years or so between the sequels. Very thoughtful of them to have Oubi recap the stuff a bit too and you know, introducing us to the same characters again. You don’t get much of this stuff these days lol. They’re going to adapt the rest of the stuff with these two parts including this one, that much is obvious, which is around 130 chapters, so yeah it goes without saying we’d not spend much time over Arthur doing his dumb stuff and Tamaki flashing her panties, every next second, right?

So yeah, the empire joining hands with the white clads did seem like a bombshell out of nowhere, but yeah, it was always leading up to this. These guys are onto some really grand stuff, and I mean we’ll see more of it going forward, but yeah, seeing squad 8 getting all fired up to get Oubi back, and quite literally going up against everyone has pretty much set the theme of this season. Fine return and yeah looking forward to the rest of the stuff. Also, if that was OP in the end, they went hard with the visuals, at least. ED's a bop btw.

Fire force back after five whole years. Don't remember a lot from the last part of the manga as it's been a while since it ended and even longer since I read the chapters but I do remember the hype parts and reveals so excited for those.

5 fucking years bro y’all don’t know how much this shit mean to me. Great reintroduction to the series, love how they interwove the recap with the set up for the next arc. Operation save Captain Obi underway. I can’t wait to see the climax of the series animated 😩

Ziyoou-vachi and Fire Force just a match made in heaven bro that OP is insane they have NEVER missed once with these. That benimaru Charon fight looks INSANE too.

First few minutes of the episode felt like David Production letting us know they haven’t lost it at all. Sound design, animation, storyboarding all feel like we’re back in summer 2020 and that was just a creative way to recap the story, imagine what the hype shit is gonna look like omg. The time between seasons is kinda fire because it’s been so long since the manga ended I’ve forgot quite a few details so it’ll be a nice mix of new stuff and high expectations for me

Raffles finally going mask off bringing the white clads into the heart of the empire, least surprising twist ever lol, but that pits Burns against the 8th and sets us up for an operation to save Captain Obi. Can’t wait to see it all play out. It’s so good having this cast back! I missed them sm. I fully expect Tamaki think pieces to pop up online soon tho lmao.

ED BANGS too. Best since Veil. omg we’re eating so good man.

It’s been a long time since S2, and watching this somehow made me realise that again. Short flashbacks to the previous season, but honestly all I can remember is the world trip they took lmao. Might need to read wiki to update myself on the lore of god sola and whatnot.

Cap’n Burns completely converted? Something tells me there’s more to it than that’s implied. But oh well, we will see. Against Tokyo Empire now, definitely wasn’t expecting this development but it should be fun.

I was expecting 2 cours like many I suppose, hopefully the remaining P2 will make up about 2 cours worth.

Interesting Op and ED, I feel like I could vibe to both!

Good to see Fire Force back! This first episode was more about reintroducing the crew and setting the stage, so there wasn’t anything shockingly crazy, but you can already tell this season is going to hit hard.

The animation is still insane, as always. David Production never disappoints when it comes to action scenes—the fire effects are stunning, and the soundtrack keeps that hype alive, making you want to explode along with the characters. Now, speaking of the cast...

Shinra is still going strong, and it’s already clear he’s going to play an even bigger role in all the chaos. The guy is still that perfect mix of badass and socially awkward (just the way we like it). Arthur is there, being… well, Arthur. If he weren’t in the show, half the fun would be gone. Maki and Tamaki had some cool moments, but I wish they’d get more spotlight. And Joker? He just shows up and immediately gives off that something big is coming vibe.

Overall? Fire Force is back in style!

After completing Fire Force for the first time last month, I am able to finally watch S3, and it's as good as I expected, although the OP song is kinda weak compared to previous OPs. I hope David Production keeps up the great animation, but I am somewhat concerned about the pacing as they are planning to finish this in two (12EP ?)cores.

OK so I like ss1 and ss2 and comes with somewhat high expectation for ss3 and the first episode still blows me away. This is hollywood-level quality, could it be David Production's best work yet? Definitely worth the wait!

I also like that there's a visual representation of mind-reading and convincing ability, well, it's more like a text than visual but you get my point. Not sure if her ability really work on Burn though.

I know Rekka is long dead but as much as I hate his unforgivable action, I want to hear his voice again. I'm in a love-hate relationship with him. But don't worry, there are a plenty of guys to love in FireForce, most of them are on good sides but sometimes a guy like Charon also catch my attention.

What a return for this series after so long. David Pro kills it yet again with the visuals, and right off the bat we’re thrust into drama and suspense with Captain Obi getting arrested. I like how the first few minutes where Obi gave his report was used as a way to recap what’s happened so far for those who have forgotten the events of the first 2 seasons. Obviously the episode was set up for what’s to come but it was still great, and definitely helped build some excitement.

Great ep for s3's introduction. Adapted chapters 175 - 177, and some pages of 179 and dialogue of 180 while switching back and forth at times. It's interesting how they are adapting while removing some stuff that are not so relevant while finding a way to adapt about 130 chapters in 2 cours. Praying to God that 2 cours is enough. It’s been said that 12 eps will be for cour 1.

Hopefully, cour 2 is at least 15 or more eps, or we can expect some type of minimal removal, though I can't help but wonder what the production committee was cooking , with such a length. Hopefully, everything is beautifully adapted.

You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you… 5 years is unreal man, just like with Hanako-kun Season 2, it’s just insane, it had been so long I had to rewatch both seasons of Fire Force over the month of March for this lol. But it was worth it tho, for one of my all-time favorite shounens, it absolutely deserved the rewatch, and it ignited my hype for this season tenfold, so happy it’s back! And it looks like David Pro is handling this 3rd season with care as of episode 1, I think they nailed seasons 1 & 2 so I’m hoping they can do it again for this one. And imo Fire Force has never missed with the OPs and EDs, and these new ones I can thankfully say belong right there with them, atm they don’t beat any of the old ones for me but they are really good, the visuals for both go very hard too, I especially love the ED visuals showcasing all of these great characters.

And wow this first episode was once again another one of those moments in Fire Force where everything changes completely, just when the 8th successfully united all of the companies and Haijima, the cultists show up at the heart of the empire and take one of their strongest allies just like that, being Captain Burns, god I hate Haumea lol, there was absolutely some brainwashing shenanigans happening there. And not only that, they’ve captured our boy Captain Obi and are planning to infernalize him, well the 8th isn’t taking that sitting down lol, I think they all secretly wanted to become enemies of the state with that enthusiasm. So yeah, now the plot is the 8th against the empire, it was honestly inevitable, the white-clad are simply forcing it earlier than expected, I gotta say this first episode did its job in getting me excited!

Despite all of my praise tho, there is one thing that has me worried, so they’re planning to end the show this season? 24 episodes? I’m not a manga reader but I’ve heard how many chapters there are to adapt, I can’t help but be concerned but I have no doubt this will still be as fun as always, and I’m also happy to know I will be able to see how this series ends in anime form.
