| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The Thread of Fate of the Black Bulls (that is Vanessa) gets her limelight this episode! Going back to her home in the Witches' Forest to plead her mum the Queen of Witches to upgrade her magic power to fight future evil a.k.a the Spade Kingdom and the Devil isn't an easy task, given her rebellion in the past. With some witches at the behest of her mum's conditions, the quest of training starts with going into magical beast land. Samantha and Elvira's powers are somewhat out of the ordinary, and look useless (stan Grey and Noelle in personality) , but when clearly utilized well it'll be a force to reckon with. What a challenge to build up failures, amidst the same atmosphere when the Black Bulls ravaged the forest all those episodes ago. The witches of the land are still the same, being VERY carefree and not giving a care for the outside world. And so it ends up being the Queen's daughter teaching fellow witches to have confidence in fighting for their homeland, something in line with the Queen's wishes for the unforeseeable future ahead. As usual, words spread fast in this forest of women, and hooe they'd learn their lesson well. In the end, the teach becomes the teacher, and Vanessa found her one true path of fate regardless of the make-or-break of the future. Captain Yami waiting for her to have a drink together was just the sweetest thing between comrades. Welcome back to the Black Bulls, Vanessa! Good episode, even fillers are nice, especially for this series for more character development. |

| Am I the only one who been finding these episodes very emotional and kinda tearing up at the end? It’s so nice to see everyone getting mini development arcs and even more important when you consider what’s going with the spade fights. |

| It surprised me that the witch dressed in blue was called "Elvira Aguirre". The name and surname are very common in Spain, so it took me by surprise having a character with such a Spaniard name lol. Hope the witches will take a more active role in the story at some point. The conversations of Yami and Vanessa at the beginning and end of the episode were very sweet, and especially tragic |

| Was nice to see Vanessa take the spotlight for this episode! Atleast some stuff don't change, still don't like seeing the Queen of Witches! Those casual conversations between Yami and Vanessa was great! We don't get these casual conversations often, cause some would scream a lot, or the other is too tsundere to hold a conversation. So this was a real treat to watch. |

| I like the episode growth of the characters but I wish they weren't like one episode. The message of 'there are different ways of using magic' was not really unique of a message and very predictable. Hopefully the filler will get better |

| A good episode but it reminded me of how much I miss Mariella. Maybe she'll get her own filler episode later. Besides the character development I like that these filler episodes show us all these side characters. It helps expand the Black Clover world |

| This was a nice light hearted episode. Great to see more of Vanessa. I loved how this episode showed that regardless of the type of magic you have, you can use it for whatever you want to. |

| Pretty chill episode. This time with the focus on Vanessa and her return back to the witch wood where she met the witch queen again. With that normally you expect a new powerful spell which would help a lot against spade. That was a pretty smart way of the witch queen to show Vanessa that no matter what magic you own, everything has it's own uniqueness and use. Can't wait to see Vanessas progress the next time we see her. |

| Now, this is a wonderful ep! Seeing all these characters, in this case, Vanessa going off a journey to try to learn and/or train themselves, all just felt so adventurous. It's a shame that this is a filler, so it's neither canon nor have anything that would add to Vanessa's character development. |

| Now it's Vanessa's turn to get strong and she came back to see the Queen of Witches This is an unusual task for her being paired up with the "lesser" witches, I don't see the point of helping them to get strong but it's a favor I guess Well, there's nothing that she gained from that quest the Queen gave her but she helped Samantha and Elvira to have a reason for their powers. |

| Maybe not QUITE as good as the last filler-type episode that focused on Zora, but still a mostly enjoyable one nonetheless because well Vanessa of course is mommy. And it did carry a bit of weight to it as well, as she comes to some self-realization by the end, and even decides to put the drinking on hold to properly train to get stronger. Sure these all feel like filler (if they aren't actually filler, it feels like they just forgot to be labelled as such here on mal), but it certainly is working in helping slowly build up to the event which will be the encounter with the spade kingdom and the devil within. Like honestly, you could skip this whole "training arc" (which for some reason, as I've stated before, am surprised why this is still considered the "elf reincarnation arc", all the way up to episode 157. Huh??), and just throw them directly into the battle and have them learn and grow stronger there. But really, the plot has been straight gas and hasn't let up so far, so I think that even though we are greeted with a bunch of filler, it still is beneficial to serve as a breather, but also to act as build up to perhaps make them battle we're looking forward to carry even more weight to it. Although this is really has to be filler because how on earth did the witch queen allow Vanessa to enter and leave the forest so easily, considering how things went down the last time they met. And I'm sad, the next episode is the last one we'll have with my favourite ED. Like I can listen to it any time, I already got it on apple music like I do with all the ed's and op's I end up liking, but it still feels like we're saying goodbye to it. It was a beauty, but I'm sure the last two will be almost as good. Yeah I'm more of a black clover ed kind of guy, rather than op than I think most people are focused on. |
