Comedy I don't actually view this as all that accurate, but I understand statistically why it's configured that way. For example, I like series from every major demographic classification, but if I had to choose one, I'm interested in more Seinen series than I am Shounen. Also, I would say "Demons" and "Magic" are inflated in position, as there are several series I've watched with that tag where even if you consider them as equivalent to serving as a genre in the database, they still aren't the primary genre for that series and it would be something else instead (like Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Action, even Horror or Historical, etc.) It lists my 11th top selection as Josei. I would say to eliminate Shounen and Josei, because they're not genres and it's more interesting that way, and my next three after that are as follows: Thriller, Mystery, and Drama. And I would say inclusion of those in part or in full (at least 2 of the 3) would make the list more accurate and representative of my tastes. |

Slice of Life By average: 1 Thriller 2 Samurai 3 Police 4 Military 5 Mystery 6 Psychological 7 Parody 8 Vampire 9 Seinen 10 Shounen 11 Historical Parody was in the top 10 for weighted averages but fell off. Only major surprise is Vampire getting #8 on average. |

Sports I feel like these are true to an extent (except sports since I just haven't seen nearly as many so it has a higher weighted score), but I also watched a lot more action, thriller, sci-fi, etc. up until a few months ago when I switched to watching more SOL, music and romance anime. I usually look at the time spent stats tbh since I feel like that tells me more about my watching habits. |

Here's what mine gave :  I get the feeling that the reason fantasy isn't in there is because I watch fantasy shows way too easily so I end up having a lot of subpar show of that genre in my list, lowering the median score by a lot (it's down to 29th place in that list). By the way interesting enough Harem and Ecchi are dead last (38 and 39) in that list, and school and shounen are barely doing any better than those, so I guess it's still pretty accurate despite the few weird position due to watching too many of something. ...Oh and shoujo is waaaay higher than shounen, it's 14th vs 36th, interesting. I guess I'm way more picky about the shoujo I watch compared to shounen tagged anime. |
