DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Welp, this show is back and there's obvious fan service with the character outfits. This santa outfit...  Seems pretty much the main cast returned in this sequel. It almost feels like this show never left tbh with the mood. Katsuragi is still the same as ever lol Asuka sure didn't take long to draw out her weapons this episode already. I wonder if this season will have more action compared to the previous one. |

| Sequel as such is not, because here appear the characters of Deep Crimson including those of Estival Versus and the original mobile game. Which is why those who are waiting for a sequel to the original anime will end up disappointed |

| This is AT-X uncensored for good reason, it has blood, the violence is upped a bit (and possibly death) as well. Good God Asuka got a seasons beating, definitely something I wouldn't expect from a Christmas episode. This is going to be more action packed than last season. |

Pretty much. Asuka seems to be way stronger than Homu but way weaker than the twins so I assume it's some magic or something boosting them, or limiting her. Yeah, the nips are pretty low quality. They even got Ikaruga wrong, in the OVA she had inverted nipples, now she doesn't and the boobs didn't even shake. Seems like a cheap cash grab. Sad part is, the BDs won't even sell since it's already airing uncensored |
| I'm sorry, I like the Senran Kagura franchise and appreciate the mainstream availability of an uncensored fanservice anime in 2018, but the production value is SO bad that it's basically a slideshow. The transformations were like, three panels with blur transitions, couldn't they at least do a better job with sequences that they know are going to be reused a lot? I realize this is a low budget anime, as were the previous installments, but come on. Dropping for now, but let me know later if they had the balls to go uncensored on the tsurupettan characters like Mirai or Ryobi, :p |

The uncensored part was a big suprise for sure, but still kinda bummed out the (uncensored) transformation is almost just a slideshow compaired in the games. Anyone knows why this season is from Studio TNK and not Studio Artland instead? Still, Ikaruga best girl. |

| The original Senran Kagura was one of the worst anime I've ever seen so hearing this, I wanted to see how it would pan out. The art looks bad for 2018 standards, but at the same time, it atleast looks much better than its original (which was blander than seeing paint dry). It wasn't as bad as the original but it still was very mediocre in writing with a Christmas episode for some reason. |
| As a fan of the series, I'm looking forward to see where this story goes. Second half was pretty intense. They're so casual with showing full nudity now, lol. I'm not complaining. Gonna need some more crimson squad hijinks. |

| So looks like this won't be an adaptation of Shinovi Versus or Estival Versus going by the first episode. Going by the subtitle of the series, this might be an original story that takes place after the events of Peach Beach Splash or a hint at the story to come in Senran Kagura: 7even. Either way, regardless of how this sells, it's just promoting the series since there is a lot of Senran projects going on this year. As for the episode, softcore fanservice compared to the first season but we get nudity this time around. Holy moly. the animation is stiff compared to the anime cutscenes in the games. And even the art seems a little off. Granted I'll watch it for the memes but man...I see there's a lot of quality issues. |

| The animation is way worst compared to season 1... to much static shots. Good things: - Uncensored - Blood I know this anime is just to promote the game so i does not need to be really well animated but... i want to at least have season 1 quality wise. |

Those 2 studios have something familiar, they also collaborated to do an anime called Sin: Nanatsu no taizai |

| Completely disappointing episode. Art and animation? Massive downgrade if you compare it to previous adaptation made by Artland studio. Just watch (and listen, because soundtrack is incredible) the first 2 minutes of previous start episode: First 30 seconds has more animation than whole 1st episode of 2nd season. Soundtrack? Generic as f**k. Character design is bad too comparing to the games and 1st season. Direction is a joke. I don't mind fanservice. To be honest I like fanservice. But current director can't do it properly, like Watanabe Takashi in 1st season. Pantsu shots were completely random and forced. They even pushed it on the screen when there was a serious scene. Look at the start of 1st season liked above and then watch this episode. It's pretty clear how shitty this season will be. Now my question is, what went wrong? |

| So, I didn't know the Senran Kagura Anime did nipple shots of characters. Did the first season have that as well? I was considering going back and watching it anyway, but I kind of want to know now. Also, if it did, were there nipple shots of Mirai? Because if there were I'm immediately going to go marathon it. |

| Okay, got it, here's how the anti-CR faction can spin this: Crunchyroll/Ellation could have invested more in the animation for this, if they'd used the money they invested in High Guardian Spice ;) CR co-productions tend to be on the cheaper side (Toji no Miko and a bunch of moe SoL). https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1009327/anime-co-producedproduced-by-crunchyroll It seems they were somehow on the production committee for The Ancient Magus' Bride, but I think it's safe to assume the vast majority (90%+?) of that budget would have come from the manga publisher and their Japanese partners. That's a wild guess with zero sources and no qualification on my part; I'm in no way an industry insider, I just read articles and find it an interesting subject. (I wouldn't be surprised if someone has to correct everything I'm saying here) Not to say this show would have been better off without CR. Maybe it simply wouldn't have been made. It's been over five years since the first season, well past the two-year safety window within which Japanese producers/investors normally prefer to greenlight sequels, exceptions being obvious guaranteed successes like the currently airing Attack on Titan (big gap between S1 and S2), Index III, and Fairy Tail final season. Agreed on not wanting fanservice in the middle of a girl being brutalized, that just feels bad. |
| Definitely like this season much better than the first season. I couldn't finish the first season, but I feel there is more action and the animation is more fluid. Also, Asuka and those bunny ears. Too adorable! |

| Seems those two training arcs were all for nothing if this is indeed Estival timeline. A bit disappointing that the anime still does not have a budget, but I'll watch it in case it happens to be important to the games. |
| Super happy tiddie ninja the animation is back. I love seeing my girl Asuka animated again. The beginning of the episode was sort of boring, but the Crimson Squad was funny. The second half is a stark contrast however, the fight was actually kind of brutal for how one-sided it was. Excited to see where this goes. |
| firstly im really happy to see senran kagura get a new anime was hoping it would alot sooner but this is amazing also hope this wont be the last with that said ep 1 was really nice to see mostly everyone appear but my god was it annoying to see them lose so easy to the ninjas's of the mobile game (from which i know them from) cause from what i can see this take place before the events of the mobile game but still wouldn't think they'd lose like that anyway looking forward to the rest Love senran kagura ! also love the fact its uncensored which is a plus!! |

| Starting off quite ecchi already on this first episode of this second season... the first one didn't had much to offer, so I do not have much expectations of this second season but still looking forwards to see what they'll offer in terms of story! Let's see what's next. |

| I was wondering why the visuals/animation on look different compared to season 1 and the rest... turns out it was made by a different studio... urgh... It's fine, I'm sure Homura, Mirai, Shiki and Ryoubi will make up for it... I'm sure... |
