| I sometimes think about re-watching some anime with Russian dub (doesn't have to be decent) for the lulz. Must try it someday. If we're talking about anime (produced in Japan) with characters speaking a different language for some reason, yeah I think I'd watch it out of curiosity. |

| German dubs are not very good in general, but it's the language I'd be least adverse to watching anime in that isn't Japanese. I watched a couple of Ghibli films in Gerdub and they were rather good and I had no issues with it, and I own a route of Yosuga no Sora on DVD with a GerDub that was impressively awful. English is just not a language I like much, even though I speak it and all, and I'd be pretty adverse to watching anything in it unless it was the only option at this point. I've grown to prefer watching things subbed anyway and that's my go to option in most cases. |

| RWBY is a web series that I'm watching where the main language is English. It's not really an anime, but its style is that based of anime's. So I guess yeah, I'd watch other anime-styled series if it's enjoyable enough. If we're talking about English dubs here, I used to enjoy it but ever since the switch to subs while watching Naruto, I haven't been watching any English dubs lately. I do watch some scenes that are in dubs on YouTube though. |

| When I watched Tenkuu no Escaflowne I accidentally watched it in Italian (1st audiotrack) and learned to like that - the dub being good, of course. I'd argue that some characters were decidedly better in the Italian version, eg. Folken. Now I am trying to find Gunslinger Girl in Italian dub - like, if there ever was an anime suited to being watched in Italian, then that one. But I have no idea if that Italian dub is good or not. --------------- Ofc. I watched some anime in German dub; on German TV everything is dubbed into German language: One Piece, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Highschool DxD, and some episodes of other shows. As "compensation" for the time-consuming licensing and dubbing, we sometimes then get the bluray version being shown on TV - no censoring, and extra content. | Do you mean anime that was made in other countries, which use its own language (regardless if you consider that anime or not) or a Japanese anime where they use voice actors who speak other languages??? If you are talking about the first, everything is fine as long as there are subs I can find If you are talking about the later, it would be hilarious to see Japanese voice actors pulling of that. If they mistreat English so bad, imagine what they would do to Russian or German lol |

| I already did. Oban-Star Racers was an international production and the english dub was as much the original as the japanese or french one. Cybersix also debuted in english and was only later dubbed to japanese so I watched it in english. Basically original audio always gets priority from me, and some anime just were produced in english so it's natural for me to watch those in english. Plus there's a bunch of older anime movies and stuff where you can only find the dub online, but no subs and sometims not even RAWS. I know Mighty Orbots for example is only available in the dub. Would I ever watch anything that is dubbed in a foreign language that I don't understand? No, that's pointless. Either the original audio with subs, or a dub in a language that I do understand without subs. |

I actually quite like how it sounds, tho more so in the Opening songs than the voice acting. It's a very musical language since intonations are a big part of their pronounciation. It definitely feels faster tho, I give you that. But it's just a matter of getting used to it, just like every language when you're watching something for the first time in that language. When I first watched Bron/Broen in swedish/danish with subtitles it was also super weird even tho the languages aren't that different from mine (german). But by the end of it I already didn't notice anymore. Same for chinese and korean anime. I've seen a bunch of them by now so it doesn't feel that different anymore. I just realize I'm way more reliant on subs when I understand NOTHING in the language, unlike japanese which I've listened to for literal months at this point so I have a basic understanding of a lot of the terms and if I miss the subs for a line or two I can usually infer the meaning still. But no chance with chinese, I need those subs for every single word xD. |

Pretty much no matter what language you watch anime in, the high-pitched voice acting of female characters is always gonna be a thing :/ Can't say I've had many experiences with high-pitched male voices in chinese anime so far, just some girls. |

I presume you mean Mandarin Chinese, which I actually sorta dislike compared to Cantonese. Cantonese has a down-to-earth feel. Mandarin just sounds like it's trying to be smooth and elegant all the time, with all the sh and zh and j sounds. To be fair, I do speak Cantonese myself. |

| Yes, i think it can be good too. I already watched animes like Avatar (both Legend of Aang and Legend of Korra) and Quan Zhi Gao Shou (The King's Avatar). I think especially Avatar have their own identity, isn't a anime copy and not a common cartoon, but it appears to share some elements with anime like the animation style and the plot development. Also, The Legend of Korra have a character named Otaku, this can't be coincidence. Until nowadays i wonder if it's anime or not. I also watched Oban Star Racers (which is a japanese co-production) and the first season of Voltron: Legendary Defender which seemed to me like a anime (or a serious mode Power Rangers). I think The King's Avatar have a poor story, but the plot it's like a real world Isekai: the main character will start his career as a professional player from scratch in a lan house (but he just walked across the street. Literally. This is the real world). The voice acting seemed strange to me, but the animation was great. Also, the last episode left a good opportunity to continue as a sports anime. I would like to see an anime from the chinese manga Feng Shen Ji too, this can be a good shounen anime. Well, anyway, Netflix is coming. |
